Micromax In 2c Review: Decent stock Android phone for non-power users

The Micromax In 2c is an entry-level stock Android smartphone that doesn’t really have much else going for it. Priced at Rs 8,499, the phone’s performance is lacklustre when it comes to the camera, gaming, and charging. However, if you’re looking for a simple phone that performs well when it comes to basic, day-to-day tasks such as calling, texting, social media, and more, this phone works fine for that.

The budget smartphone segment in India is a burgeoning one owing to the price-conscious Indian market. There are multiple options on offer from companies such as Xiaomi, Realme, Tecno, Samsung, Infinix and others. Micromax is an Indian smartphone company that caters to the masses with its inexpensive smartphones. The latest budget smartphone on offer from the company is the Micromax In 2c. We got ourselves the unit a week before launch and have been testing it in various scenarios. So, is the Micromax In 2c a competent value-for-money product in the sub 10K price segment or will it be overshadowed by others? Let’s dive right into the review to find out.

Micromax In 2C Review: Build and display

Micromax In 2c Review: Build and design

The Micromax In 2c is a well-built budget smartphone with two colour options for users to choose from – Brown and Silver. We got the former for review and were quite pleased with the matte plastic back with a textured finish. Although, we would prefer another colour to the brown provided since it isn’t exactly the most appealing colour. The back has a radiating design originating from the camera module that looks pretty decent.

Micromax In 2c Review: Build and design

The camera bump houses two lenses and doesn’t jut out too much. The back also has the Micromax logo that is a little too large for our tastes. The phone feels solid to hold with little to no creaks when flexed. The buttons have good feedback and are quite tactile, which is not common at this price point. The front of the phone is adorned with rather large bezels and an even larger chin. The dewdrop selfie camera cutout looks dated, but we’ll give that a pass at this price point. The bottom also houses a 3.5mm audio jack, which is a welcome addition.

Micromax In 2c Review: Build and design

The Micromax In 2c’s display isn’t what we’d call a stunner in any way. It is a pretty simple 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display with no fast refresh rate. If you were looking for any frills in the display department, you’re not really going to find any. The glass used on the screen is not branded, so you’re not going to get the assurance of a Gorilla Glass display. You do get WideVine L1 support for high-definition content on streaming platforms, but Netflix did not play HD content on this phone for some reason.

Micromax In 2c Review: Display

The display’s colour accuracy is decent and it has good viewing angles. However, legibility takes a hit in direct sunlight and you may find it really hard to read the information on the screen. When testing, we got a peak brightness of 152 nits, which is extremely low. The display’s colour profile can be modified in Settings but we found the default version to be the most colour accurate. Overall, the phone is well-built but comes with a mediocre display at this price.

Micromax In 2c Performance Review

The Micromax In 2c is powered by the UNISOC T610 SoC with an octa-core CPU running at a clock speed up to 1.8GHz. The processor is running on the 12nm process and is a pretty decent SoC for general day-to-day usage such as texting, calling, social media, streaming, and more. The phone comes in one storage configuration with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There’s an option to expand the storage via a microSD card up to 256GB as well. As for connectivity, the phone supports 4G, 3G and 2G networks and comes with Bluetooth 5.0.

Micromax In 2c Review: Display

As we mentioned before, the phone is well-equipped to deal with general usage scenarios but gamers and power-users must steer clear of the device. The 3GB of RAM means that multitasking isn’t as smooth as one would hope, with app crashes happening often when you open multiple demanding apps such as games and benchmarks.

Micromax In 2c Review: Performance

Micromax In 2c Review: Performance

Speaking of benchmarks, let’s delve more into that. Running AnTuTu got us a score of 193233 which is neck and neck with its competitor – the Nokia G21. However, the Realme Narzo 30a, which is a much older phone in the same price range, beats it with a score of 201637. In GeekBench 5, the phone falls slightly behind the Narzo 30a in both Single and Multi Core tests. But it does beat out the Nokia G21 in the Single Core test. As for PCMark Work, the Narzo 30a beats it by almost 1,000 points but it scores around the same as the Nokia G21.

Micromax In 2c Review: Performance

Moving on to GPU benchmarks, the phone does decently in 3D Mark Wild Life with a score of 524 but the Narzo 30a takes the lead here as well. We tried running GameBench to test Call Of Duty FPS and stability, but the GameBench kept crashing when we tried to do this, possibly due to the lacking RAM. When we played COD Mobile, the game ran at Low graphics and Medium framerate. The gameplay wasn’t exactly smooth, but the stutters and lags weren’t unmanageable. However, we still wouldn’t recommend this phone to a hardcore gamer at all.

So, the Micromax In 2c doesn’t do swimmingly in benchmarks and does hiccup quite a bit when multitasking. However, it is perfectly serviceable when running day-to-day tasks and playing less-intensive games such as Candy Crush.

The phone comes with Android 11 out of the box, completely devoid of any sort of bloatware in the form of third-party apps. We enjoyed the stock Android experience and it isn’t something we get to experience often. The OS operates smoothly with little to no stutters and lags when moving across screens and scrolling. The phone may slow down as you fill it with apps and photos though, so keep that in mind. As for software updates, the phone will get only 1 major OS update, which is disappointing.

Micromax In 2c Camera Review

The camera is not the Micromax In 2c’s strong suit. The phone is equipped with an 8 MP primary lens and a depth camera. It comes with a 5 MP front camera for selfies. The cameras have poor dynamic range with overexposed highlights and crushed shadows. The colour reproduction also leaves something to be desired.

Micromax In 2c Review: Camera

The details in the photos you take is pretty good in bright daylight, but this goes south quickly when you’re in low light. Low light images are noisy and soft. Night Mode doesn’t make much of a difference, so the camera experience we had was pretty sour. Focusing on objects and people in low light is also hard since the phone doesn’t come with any kind of stabilisation.

The story is the same when it comes to video. The phone shoots 1080p footage at 30fps and the videos come out looking pretty mediocre. The colour accuracy is off and the dynamic range suffers as well. Overall, if the camera is important for you when purchasing a phone, we’d ask you to look the other way.

Micromax In 2c

Micromax In 2c Review: Battery life

The Micromax In 2c houses a pretty sizable 5,000mAh cell with 10 W charging. The phone’s battery life is pretty decent and most users should be able to squeeze out a day and a half or two days’ worth of usage. We ran a gamut of games and benchmarks on the phone during our testing period and still got over a day’s worth of battery life.

Fifteen minutes of playing Call of Duty: Mobile drained the battery by 6 per cent while 30 minutes of Netflix streaming dropped the battery by 5 per cent. The 10 W charger is slow though and charged the phone from zero to full in 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Micromax In 2c Review: Verdict

The Micromax In 2c is an entry-level stock Android smartphone that doesn’t really have much else going for it. Priced at Rs 8,499, the phone’s performance is lacklustre when it comes to the camera, gaming, and charging. However, if you’re looking for a simple phone that performs well when it comes to basic, day-to-day tasks such as calling, texting, social media, and more, this phone works fine for that. However, we cannot fully recommend this phone to anyone since the Realme Narzo 30a performs better when it comes to camera and gaming by a significant margin and only costs Rs 500 more to purchase.

Snap Pixy launches as the Snapchat-makers first drone camera

Far from the seemingly outlandish and elusive Metaverse is Snap’s much more grounded and accessible Pixy. Well, that is if you are living in the US or France, the only markets where it has been launched for now. It retails at $229 (around ₹17,548) and for that price, you are getting a small drone that the company describes as a “pocket-sized”, “friendly flying camera”.

Here’s what you need to know about the new Snapchat drone camera.

Snap Pixy Specs and Features

Snap pixy

First of all, to be clear, the photos and videos you capture out of Pixy can be edited using other apps on your phone or even exported to your computer. The images are of a 12-megapixel size and video clips of 2.7K resolution with 30 frames per second. Although Pixy defaults to shooting in landscape, within the Snapchat app, you get a cropping tool to convert the captures into portrait mode.

On Pixy, you get 16GB of storage. You can always transfer the onboard files/data to a phone/PC using a wired or a wireless medium. You get Bluetooth BLE and 5GHz WiFi AC for wireless connectivity.

Coming to the drone design, it is 101 grams in heft (including battery), and 131.7mm x 106mm x 17.6mm in dimensions. So, it is fairly light and small. Because of those things and in that yellow color, you are likely to find it cute.

Snap Pixy

It is reportedly easy to use and works without a controller. In case you are wondering, it is compatible with both iOS and Android phones.

On top of it, there is a silver-colored dial that lets you choose from one of the preset flight paths like Orbit (circles around you), Hover (tracks you from location), and Reveal (from a set distance, it will fly back to you). From within the Snapchat app, you also get to configure new flight paths. But, Pixy’s scope of movement is just up to 60 seconds within a range of 2 to 3m.

Around the dial, there are 4 rotors (within protective casings) that keep the thing flying.

Now, depending on the flight modes you choose, Pixy is rated to run for 5-8 flights. And when it seeks charge, you can either swap a different battery (easily replaceable but is something you have to buy separately) or top it up through a USB-C port on the body. Snap claims you get to recharge 80-percent of the full capacity in 20 minutes and 100-percent in 40 minutes.

Among other things, you should know that Pixy is not water resistant and so should not be exposed to "rain, snow, or submerged in water".

Snap Pixy Price and Availability

As already mentioned, Snap has released the Pixy in the US and France at $229 (~₹17,548). The batteries cost $19.99 (~₹1531) a piece. You can order a portable dual battery charger priced $50 (~₹3832). The company notes the Pixy will be on sale until stock lasts. There is no word about its availability in other markets like India.

A massive Coca-Cola data breach by Pro-Russian hackers is reportedly under investigation: Here are the details

Coca-Cola, the multinational carbonated soft drink brand has reportedly been breached by a Pro-Russian hacker group called Stormous. The report comes from The Register, to whom the Coke brand has revealed its ongoing investigation. The company is apparently aware of the data loss claim and is working with law enforcement to sort things out.

Coca-Cola Hack: Details

Coca-Cola Stormous

The Pro-Kremlin hacker group Stormous has listed around 161 gigabytes of hacked Coca-Cola data on the dark web. The listing reads, “We hacked some of the company’s (Coca-Cola’s) servers and passed a large amount of data inside them without their knowledge and we want to sell it to someone else”.

#Stormous claims responsibility for Coca-Cola's ransomware attack. They are allegedly selling 161 GB of data allegedly belonging to Coca-Cola...#Ransomware #RansomwareGroup pic.twitter.com/xCSHwdVQpR

— BetterCyber (@_bettercyber_) April 25, 2022

The hackers are selling the Coca-Cola leaked data for around $64,000 in cryptocurrency. It also adds the price could be negotiated "depending on the amount of data you want".

This Coca-Cola data was leaked on April 24, 2022, and since then, the victim, ie., Coca-Cola has come forward with a statement.

Coca-Cola Communications Global VP Scott Leith has told The Register, "We are aware of this matter and are investigating to determine the validity of the claim. We are coordinating with law enforcement.”

Coca Cola Stormous

Days before the hack, Stomrous had apparently held a poll on its Telegram group asking its followers which brand it should target and Coca-Cola has received about 72-percent of the votes.

— DarkTracer : DarkWeb Criminal Intelligence (@darktracer_int) March 1, 2022

Coming to the why of it all, the hacker gang had previously posted that “if any party in different parts of the world decides to organize a cyber-attack or cyber-attacks against Russia, we will be in the right direction and will make all our efforts to abandon the supplication of the West, especially the infrastructure."

So, that’s the world we are living in. As the American computer security consultant and author, Kevin Mitnick notes, “Hackers are breaking the systems for profit. Before, it was about intellectual curiosity and pursuit of knowledge and thrill, and now hacking is big business”.

Bose Smart Soundbar 900 launched in India with Dolby Atmos

Bose India has unveiled a new soundbar in India called Smart Soundbar 900. It is a Dolby Atmos speaker backed by proprietary spatial technologies. Thanks to the presence of HDMI eARC, you get to plug in the soundbar to a TV with a single cable and have a two-way sound transmission. There are wireless connectivity options like WiFi and Bluetooth also. Not only that, the new Bose soundbar also supports remote voice control with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. There’s even a smart app for this purpose. You also get to enjoy Spotify Connect and AirPlay 2.

So, let’s see have a better look at the offering from this Bose Smart Soundbar 700 successor.

Bose Smart Soundbar 900 Specs and Features

Bose Soundbar 900

The Bose soundbar is equipped with Dolby Atmos for surround sound. This is accompanied with the company’s own tricks for the spatial sound. Bose has put in custom arrays, dipole-transducers, and low-profile transducers along with what is called Bose spatial technologies.

Here’s how the company describes its in-house features:

“While conventional Dolby Atmos soundbars create sound “overhead,” the 900 does more. Bose PhaseGuide technology adds other dimensions just as precisely, placing and “pinning” distinct sound to the right and left where there are no speakers. So the helicopter hovers above you – while the actors run past you, not across your screen. Or the singer is standing center-left while performing – and you hear them performing center-left in your room. When there’s no Dolby Atmos content, the horizontal spatial effects are just as effective, and Bose TrueSpace technology takes over for the vertical experience, remixing signals to add “height” without adding a ceiling speaker.

For programming or playlists, Bose QuietPort technology delivers exceptional bass performance and virtually no distortion at any volume. And if furnishings or system placement interfere with audio quality, proprietary ADAPTiQ technology automatically fixes it, optimizing performance for every space, every time.”

Bose notes the dimensions of the Smart Soundbar 900 to be — 2.3” high, just over 4” deep, and 41” long.

It is oval-shaped with wraparound metal grille and a supposedly impact-resistant tempered glass top.

As mentioned already in the beginning, there’s support for HDMI eARC which allows for a single cable two-way audio transmission with your TV. The Bose Smart Soudbar 900 specifications include WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in voice control with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and Bose Voice4Video which lets you quickly call up a video on screen with your voice.

Bose Smart Soundbar 900 Price and Availability

Bose Soudbar 900

You can buy the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 from all Bose exclusive stores, offline retail chains Croma, Reliance & Vijay sales, and on Amazon, Flipkart priced at ₹104900.

The Nokia G21 is the latest budget phone from the house of HMD Global with features like the 50MP triple-camera setup, a 5050mAh battery that is claimed to offer a 3-day battery life and a functional design that feels comfortable to hold in the hand.

Nokia G21 Performance review

The Nokia G21 is priced at Rs 12,999 and is available in two colours: Nordic Blue and Dusk with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. We have been using the Nokia G21 for more than a week now, testing its real-world performance and seeing how it handles day-to-day tasks. Let’s take a look.

Nokia G21 Performance review

The Nokia G21 is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset that has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores running at upto 1.6GHz and six Cortex A55 cores also running at upto 1.6GHz. On paper, the T606 is a better prospect than the Helio G35 we saw on the Nokia G20. This is paired with upto 6GB RAM and 128GB storage options to choose from with an option to further expand the storage by upto 512GB using a microSD card. It runs on stock Android 11 and is ready for the Android 12 update but we’d have loved it if it launched with Android 12 out-of-the-box. Nokia promises 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates for the G21.

The general day to day performance of the Nokia G21 is decent as it does the basics right. I’d also like to tell you here that the G21 is miles ahead of the G20 when it comes to performance and even though it does not match the prowess of something like a Snapdragon 680, it is a good choice for a normal user. In my use, I didn’t notice major lags or frame drops and the 90Hz refresh rate display comes in handy to ensure the phone feels smooth to use.

Nokia G21 Performance review

Taking a look at the synthetic benchmark performance of the Nokia G21, it received a decent score on the AnTuTu test but isn’t able to match the performance offered by the Realme 9i which is powered by Snapdragon 680. Similarly, it gets better scores than the G20 in Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests but lags behind its Snapdragon counterpart.

Nokia G21 Performance review

In the PCMark workload test, the G21 got 7739 points while the 9i received slightly better scores at 8745 points. This means that the G21 is perfectly capable of performing tasks like web browsing, photo editing and more without breaking a sweat.

Nokia G21 Performance review

In the CPU throttling test, the Nokia G21 throttled to 92% of its maximum performance which is a pretty good score meaning that it is almost able to run up to its full potential without much effort.

Nokia G21 Performance review

We tried playing some games on the Nokia G21 as well. As you’d have imagined by now, the Nokia G21 is not a phone to play intensive games like Battlegrounds Mobile India and even Asphalt 9. However, it is way better at handling these games than the G20.

Nokia G21 Performance review

While playing COD Mobile we recorded the graphics performance of the G21 using Gamebench. The G21 ran COD Mobile at 40FPS with a stability of 92% which is pretty good in our experience. During our testing, we experienced some minor frame drops, stuttering and lags which can be fixed by reducing the graphic quality and frame rate. Having said that, if Candy Crush Saga is your go-to game, you need not worry about high performance as the G20 can run it perfectly.

With the Nokia G21, the company has brought in support for dual-band WiFi which was missing from the G20. Additionally, there is a single speaker unit that is positioned on the bottom which is decent and nothing extraordinary. If you listen to music regularly, you will be better off using a pair of earphones as it has a 3.5 mm audio jack.

As for the fingerprint reader, it works just fine and can unlock the phone very quickly, so no complaints there.

Nokia G21 review: Battery Life

The Nokia G21 is equipped with the same 5,050mAh battery as the G20 from last year. However, it still does not support fast charging and comes with a 10W charging adapter in the box. This means that it takes forever to fully charge but the battery life is good enough for most users. Some browsing, casual gaming, watching videos on YouTube and checking out social feeds, the Nokia G21 easily gave us two days worth of battery life on a single charge. After 30 minutes of watching a TV show on Netflix, the battery dipped to 6% and playing COD Mobile for 15 minutes dropped it further by 5%.

Using the 10W charger, it takes 2 hours and 42 minutes to fully charge from 0-100%. The time taken to charge can be slightly reduced by using an 18W charging adapter that is available separately or a PD supported adapter.

Nokia G21 Camera review

Nokia G21 Performance review

There are three cameras on the back of the G21 including a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies as well. The rear and front cameras can both record 1080p videos at 30FPS and support OZO audio that captures surround sound for an immersive experience.

The camera stack from the G20 was one of its major highlights and the G21 follows suit by upgrading the main sensor. That said, the G21 does not get an ultra-wide camera like its predecessor.

In daylight, the cameras of the G21 make some good looking images. The pictures look bright and colourful with natural tones. It is able to capture granular details like shadows and keeps the highlights in check. However, it struggles to lock down the focus and as a result, close up shots don’t have the kind of sharpness and detail retention you’d expect when you go pixel-peeping at a 50% crop ratio.

The main camera can focus properly if the subject in the frame is still otherwise you’ll end up with a blurry shot. The primary camera performs best in well-lit conditions but as you get closer to the end of the day, it will start to show its weakness.

During the night or in low-light environments, the camera tries to bump up the exposure and capture detailed textures but ends up adding more noise. The control over highlights is also not up to the mark and does little to help in improving a night shot.

The other two cameras, especially the macro sensor is just there to make up the numbers and fail to produce good pictures. The depth sensor aids in giving a shallow depth of field to pictures. But the macro camera needs a well-lit environment to produce any usable image and is a hit or miss affair.

Nokia G21 Design and Display review

Credit where credit’s due, the Nokia G21 is really well built. Though it is still made of plastic, it has a patterned design on the back that provides some grip when held in the hand.

On the back, there is a vertical camera module with rounded corners tucked away in the corner and an LED flash to go along. It is available in two colours: Nordic Blue and Dusk.

It has a thickness of 8.5 millimetres and weighs 190 grams, which is thinner and lighter than the G20. The G21 has a comfortable grip and you don’t feel any added heft in daily use. Unlike the G20, the G21 does not come with splash protection.

You get the power button on the right side which doubles up as a fingerprint reader along with volume controls. On the left side, there is a sim tray slot and a dedicated Google Assistant button. On top is a 3.5mm headphone jack and right at the bottom, we get a Type-C port and a speaker grille.

The display on the G21 measures 6.5 inches but only offers an HD+ resolution which is a bummer for a phone in this price range. The screen has a waterdrop notch cutout for the selfie camera and has a slightly wide chin. The addition of a 90Hz refresh rate is welcome and makes user interactions all the more smooth.

The display offers decent brightness levels and in our testing, the peak brightness touched 359 nits while the minimum brightness was at 4 nits. However, the sunlight legibility goes for a toss when you take it outdoors. The HD+ resolution here does little to produce sharp visuals in apps like YouTube and it does not count as an immersive viewing experience that you should get with a phone at this price.

Nokia G21 review: Verdict

The Nokia G21 builds upon some of the limitations of the G20 for us to be able to recommend it. However, only if you’re looking for a pretty basic, no-nonsense smartphone. In terms of upgrades over the G20, the G21 gets support for 90Hz refresh rate, better performance, dual-band WiFi and a thin, lightweight profile. However, you cannot look past some of the drawbacks that still exist like the single speaker, a 10W fast charger in the box and HD+ resolution.

While the performance has improved by miles over the G20, it does not get better than the Snapdragon 680 found on phones like the Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i which are better value for money options under Rs 15,000.

Nokia has brought about solid upgrades to the G21 but it does little to impact the dominance of competing brands like Xiaomi and Realme and their value offerings in the budget segment.

Elon Musk finally takes ownership of Twitter and is on his way to a free-speech utopia

Twitter is now a private company and Elon Musk is its owner. As expected, the company announced that it has accepted Musk’s $54.20 per share buyout offer. The world’s richest person is paying $44 billion in cash to acquire the social media platform. He is making a $21 billion equity commitment and the remainder is sourced in the form of debt and margin loan financing.

Musk, a strong advocate of free-speech wants to free the blue-bird app from the supposed cage of censorship. Even the Twitter founder and ex-CEO Jack Dorsey says, “Elon is the singular solution I trust”.

In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness.

— jack (@jack) April 26, 2022

So, let’s see how Musk envisions this free-speech future for Twitter.

Elon Musk on making Twitter a free-speech digital town square

Twitter

Commenting on the Twitter deal announcement, Musk said, "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated. I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spambots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it."

As some critics are suggesting, a way Musk, a Twitter power user, can act for the betterment of the platform is by introducing changes to make his new purchase a powerful and secure messaging solution as well as a community platform that can work on scale.

Twitter

Speaking of scale, how he intends to fix the content moderation challenges and whether he is planning to kill all bots, even the useful ones, is something to be seen.

Previously, while making his “best and final offer”, Musk had said, “I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy. However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company. Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it.”

That’s Elon for you. The guy now has a social media platform under his belt that already included SpaceX, Tesla, The Boring Company, and Neuralink.

Let’s see how things pan out for Twitter in the coming times.

Meanwhile, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has said while announcing the deal, "Twitter has a purpose and relevance that impacts the entire world. Deeply proud of our teams and inspired by the work that has never been more important."

Later at a town-hall meeting, he was quoted as saying, "Once the deal closes, we don't know which direction the platform will go. We don’t have all the answers. This is a period of uncertainty.”

Poco F4 GT renders have leaked ahead of its global launch on April 26

Poco is gearing up to launch a new GT-series smartphone called the Poco F4 GT. The brand has announced the F4 GT launch will be on April 26 at 20:00 GMT (which is 1:30 PM IST on April 27). The company calls it, “The Apex of Power”, and even though the brand hasn’t revealed anything else about the phone, it is rumoured to be a rebadged Redmi K50 Gaming Edition which debuted in China earlier this year. So, we can assume what to expect from the phone in terms of its specifications. What makes this even more probable is the newly leaked Poco F4 GT renders by Roland Quandt through the German website WinFuture.

We will get to them in a second, but before that, here’s the official Poco F4 GT announcement by the Poco Global Twitter page:

The biggest POCO launch of 2022 is coming! Bringing you #TheapexofPOWER, and more! Join us for #POCOF4GT global launch event on April 26th at 20:00 GMT+8! https://t.co/7p7rL4hDFg

On to the crux of the matter now.

Poco F4 GT Specs and Features (Expected)

Poco F4 GT

The device has shown up in the signature Poco Yellow, Grey, and Black colours in these renders.

As you can see in the said images, the Poco F4 GT is the spitting image of the Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone. So, Xiaomi is expected to rehash the internal hardware and software too.

If that’s the case, the Poco F4 GT could wield a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, an 8MP 120° ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro unit. On the other side, the selfie camera could be a 20MP sensor.

Poco F4 GT colors

This front camera could be lying within a 6.67-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display with Victus protection, 1B colours, and HDR10+ support.

At the heart of the device, there could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 4700mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and multiple memory configurations.

We will get to know the actual available memory options and confirmed specs details once the brand announces them on April 26. It is also when the Poco Watch and the Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition are set to see daylight. We were the first to bring the renders and specifications of those Poco devices to you.
