Samsung launches two new air purifiers in India starting at Rs12,990: Here are all the details

Samsung has released two new air purifiers in India. The devices are called Samsung AX32 and AX46 and can remove 99.97% of nano-sized particles, ultrafine dust, allergens and bacteria from the air. Both the air purifiers are IoT enabled, which means they can be controlled via the internet through the Samsung SmartThings app. The air purifiers come at a time when some Indian cities are facing the problem of poor air quality. Here is everything you should know about the Samsung AX32 and AX46.

Samsung’s air purifiers can cover an area of up to 645 square feet

One of the two air purifiers covers a wider area of up to 645 sq ft with the help of Front Air Intake and Three Way Air Flow, which makes them a good choice for master bedrooms, hospital rooms, fitness studios, small classrooms and other spaces. The devices feature a one-button control that enables the purifier and immediately cleans the air.

Apart from the things mentioned above, the devices can also destroy potentially dangerous volatile organic compounds, including formaldehyde. Since the devices are IoT-enabled, users can switch them on, check the air quality and control other features via the Samsung SmartThings app.

The new range of air purifiers also features a multi-layered high-efficiency purification system, including a washable pre-filter, an activated carbon deodorisation filter and a dust-collecting filter. Its dust-collecting filter uses an anti-bacterial zinc oxide material.

Samsung AX32 and AX46 specifications and price

The Samsung AX32 has a clean air delivery rate of 320 cubic metres per hour and a coverage area of 356 square feet. The device weighs 6.9 kilograms and can be placed anywhere in a room. As per the official press release, it costs Rs. 12,990.

On the other hand, the Samsung AX46 has a clean air delivery rate of 467 cubic metres per hour, which is more than the Samsung AX32 and can cover an area of up to 645 square feet. The larger purifier has a laser PM 1.0 sensor and a PM 2.5 filter.

Further, it is equipped with a 4-colour level indicator. Although the purifier is slightly heavy, it has four wheels, making it easier to carry around large spaces. In India, the price of Samsung AX46 is set at Rs. 32,990.

Both devices come with two modes, Auto Mode and Sleep Mode. While the former senses the air pollution levels and adjusts the power and fan speeds, sleep mode creates a quiet and comfortable sleeping environment. They are available on the company's official website, Samsung exclusive stores, and other leading consumer electronics stores.

YouTube introduces the Go Live Together co-streaming feature for eligible creators: How it works

YouTube has launched a new co-streaming feature for select eligible creator accounts. The new Go Live Together feature will allow some creators to invite guests to join the live stream and go live together. The video-streaming platform announced via a blog post that "this feature is expanding to a limited group of creators. We hope the Go Live Together feature will be available to other creators soon."

How to Go Live Together on YouTube

YouTube

Creators can only use the new feature on their YouTube phone app, not the platform's desktop version. However, creators can schedule a live stream with a guest using their computer and then go live from their phone. Or, they can straightly go live from their mobile device.

They can also switch up their guests on the live stream, but can only allow one person to stream together at once. After inviting a guest, their stream feed will appear above their guest's. Moreover, the company mentioned that the host channel will be responsible for the live content and should ensure that all guests and content on that co-stream comply with all YouTube terms and conditions, including their community guidelines, copyright, and all other applicable policies.

YouTube officially made this announcement for a limited number of creator accounts on their video streaming platform. Although it mentioned in a blog post that it would make the new feature available for other creators soon, the company is yet to reveal any formal date for when it will do the broader rollout.

YouTube seems to be focusing on adding new features to its platform to provide a better user experience and has undergone massive overhaul in the last few weeks.  It recently announced Primetime Channels in the US which will allow users to watch their favorite shows, movies, and sports from various streaming services all in one place on the YouTube application. We could expect more such features to land on YouTube going forward.
