Noise X-Fit 1 unveiled, will be available at a special launch price of Rs 2,999

Noise has unveiled a new wearable. Called the Noise X-Fit 1, the wearable is the newest entrant in the ever-expanding roster of wearable devices in India. The Noise X-Fit 1 is available on Amazon and as per the listing, the MRP of the device is Rs 5,999. However, the wearable will be available at Rs 2,999 at a “special launch price.” The device will be available from November 26 onwards.

Noise X-Fit 1: Details

The Noise X-Fit 1 packs a 1.53-inch IPS display with a screen-to-body ratio of 86% along with a resolution of 360x400p. It offers over 100 watch faces, allowing users to swap one out when they feel like it.

The device has a weight of 30 grams and features a metal finish. It offers 24x7 heart monitoring and can track SpO2 levels as well. It can also track sleep. The Noise X-Fit 1 can track stress levels and can offer 15 sports modes. In terms of smart features, it offers quick reply features and smart DND features. The Noise X-Fit 1 sports a 210mAh battery and the company claims a battery life of 10 days. The device also offers IP68 certification for water resistance.

Things are heating up in the sub-5K market when it comes to wearables. Noise is no stranger to releasing devices in that price range and already offer a number of wearables in that price range. However, they are not alone in that endeavour. Other manufacturers such as Fire-Boltt, Boat, Crossbeat, Xiaomi, Oppo, and more also offer competitive devices in that price range. As such, these companies are always on the lookout for ways to stand out from the crowd. However, as these devices are usually purchased by first-time users, manufacturers need to look beyond just adding more fitness features and consider bringing e-SIM features to more affordable devices.

Meta Smartwatch leaked, tipped to feature a front camera

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, might have pretty big plans. The company already showcased a number of AR and VR projects, but it looks like it might have even more plans up its sleeve. Bloomberg reports that the company is developing a smartwatch and even posted an image tipped to be of the device. The report notes that the image was found within the company’s Facebook View app that will help control the new smart glasses it plans to develop in partnership with Ray-Ban.

The Meta smartwatch: Details

The image suggests that the Meta smartwatch will feature a screen and case that is slightly curved at the edges. However, the most notable feature of the smartwatch is the front-facing camera located towards the bottom. The report speculates that this might be used for video conferencing and helps it stand out from other wearables.

The report further adds that the code within the Facebook View app suggests that it could be called Milan. It further hints at the possibility that the smartwatch’s camera would be capable of taking photos and videos, and save them on the phone.

While a smartwatch will be a brand new device from Meta/Facebook, the company already has some hardware offerings. Most notable being the company’s Portal series of devices. The Portal devices are focused on video conferencing.

It is not yet known if or when Meta will launch the smartwatch and speculation suggests that it might be some time next year. When it does launch, it will face some pretty stiff competition from established players like Apple, Garmin and so forth. It remains to be seen if the front camera will help distinguish the device enough to make it stand out.

Clubhouse ready to launch a Music Mode feature

Clubhouse has confirmed the launch of a brand new feature that is designed to help musicians and artists broadcasting on the platform. This new feature is known as Music Mode and, according to Clubhouse, it “optimises Clubhouse to broadcast your music with high quality and great stereo sound,”.

What does Clubhouse’s Music Mode do?

When broadcasting music, one simply cannot compromise on the sound quality. However, more often than not, the sound quality depends entirely on the platform that you are using and there’s not much you can do about the same. Clubhouse is seeking to help artists mitigate this challenge by introducing its new Music Mode which lets you control the broadcast sound quality and ensure your audience can enjoy your music properly.

What does Clubhouse’s Music Mode do?

Artists can plug in their professional sound mixing equipment and USB mics to broadcast their music and use the equipment live. Tapping the three dots at the corner of the video box will let you select the sound quality. The option you must select from the drop-down menu is “Music”, and this will turn on Music Mode. Audience members can then listen to the music using their devices.

Do keep in mind that this particular feature will roll out to iOS devices first, and then to Android devices. Clubhouse also recently launched its clips feature that lets you share 30-second clips of music. The platform is clearly striving to create a space for musicians.

[Exclusive] First look at Realme Band 2 leaked renders reveal 14-inch display

The second iteration of Realme’s budget wearable, Realme Band 2 is set to launch soon. The first generation of the Realme Band was priced aggressively, which made it a competitive option for those buying their first wearable. In fact, it went straight up against the likes of the Mi Band 5, which has pretty much dominated the segment since the first Mi Band. Digit has partnered with OnLeaks to get you exclusive renders as well as a 360-degree look at the Realme Band 2.

And now, your very first look at the #RealmeBand2! (gorgeous 5K renders + display size + dimensions) On behalf of @digitindia -> https://t.co/HmPf1cmNVc pic.twitter.com/ANEvxu40Ub

— Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) July 17, 2021

We managed to get our hands on some high-resolution renders of the upcoming Realme Band 2 to give you your first good look at the upcoming wearable. We have also added a 360-degree video that should give you a complete look at what you can expect from the upcoming device.

Realme Band 2: Leaked specifications and images

Judging by the images, it looks like Realme is looking to make the Realme Band 2 a more premium-looking offering than the original Realme Band. The upcoming device looks more like a watch than the first wearable that looked more like a band. The display and the case stand out more instead of blending in with the straps.

Speaking of the display, Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks, notes that the Realme Band 2 will feature an approximately 1.4-inch display. This is a pretty big leap from the 0.96-inch display found on the first Realme Band. This should definitely add to the premium look that Realme is probably going for. It should also be noted that there doesn’t seem to be a touch button at the bottom of the display. This seems to suggest that the UI in the Realme Band 2 will be completely touch and gesture-based. This isn’t too surprising as most of the devices in this price range now offer such a UI.

In terms of dimensions. OnLeaks notes that the Realme Band 2 will measure approximately 45.9 x 24.6 x 12.1mm. This makes the device larger than the first band, but it shouldn’t be so large as to make it unwieldy when wearing.

Over on the back, we can see that the device will feature the usual bunch of optical sensors. These should allow for features such as 24x7 heart rate monitoring. It is not yet known if these will also offer SpO2 tracking and Blood Pressure monitoring. We will just have to wait to know about those features. Another bit to note is that the first Realme Band was charged by removing one strap and directly plugging it into a USB port. However, one can see that the new strap design may not allow for that. As such, one can speculate that the new Realme Band 2 will charge via pogo pins or something similar.

It is not yet confirmed when the Realme Band 2 will be officially unveiled, but it should be sooner rather than later. The wearable was recently spotted on Bluetooth SIG listing pages where it had the model number RMW 2010. It also pretty much confirmed that the Realme Band 2 will offer Bluetooth v5.1. This is a pretty major step up considering that the current Realme Band offers Bluetooth v4.2.
