Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with Snapdragon 660 SoC, 5000mAh battery accidentally revealed on Flipkart

Highlights: Flipkart accidently reveals a new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro The new variant is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC and has a 5,000mAh battery   Earlier this year in August, a mention of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro variant powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC was seen on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The post said that this particular device would make its way to India. However, the phone was launched with a Snapdragon 636 processor. Now, this variant has been seen again, this time on Flipkart after the platform accidentally listed it under a sale. The image from the carousel has now been removed and the variant with a Snapdragon 636 chipset has been listed under the sale. But before the e-commerce platform could pull that down, tipster Ishan Agarwal took a screen grab and posted it on Twitter. The variant with the Snapdragon 660 SoC is also seen sporting a 5,000mAh battery instead of a the 4,000mAh battery that ships with the already available variant. Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications The Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display, which delivers a 19:9 display aspect ratio and 1080x2280 pixel resolution. There is a notch that houses cameras, the proximity/ambient light sensor, speaker and the notification light. As mentioned above, the phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and ships with 4GB and 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 6 Pro features dual 12MP + 5MP sensors on the back. The 12MP sensor has a pixel pitch of 1.4um and it’s paired with an f/1.9 aperture lens. The main camera supports dual auto-focus as well. There is a secondary 5MP depth capturing sensor. On the front, the notch houses a 20MP main sensor that supports 4-in-1 pixel binning and there’s also a secondary 2MP depth sensor. The news comes two days after Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 were spotted listed on Geekbench. Both the phones were seen running Android Pie 9.0. The Redmi Note 5 was launched with Snapdragon 625 and the Pro variant runs on the Snapdragon 636 processor. These phones were launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box and were later upgraded to Android Oreo.   Related Read: Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Review Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro running on Android Pie spotted

Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ might pick up Galaxy A8s animation, gestures for punch-hole front-camera

Key Highlights Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ might feature an illuminated ring animation around the front camera  The Galaxy S10+ might also feature reduced chin this time Both the phones are speculated to sport an Infinity-O Display   The smartphone manufacturer is expected to announce its upcoming set of flagship phones before the Mobile World Congress 2019 but ahead of the unveiling, it seems like every information regarding the phones might end up being leaked online. The latest set of leaks regarding the Galaxy S10 and the S10+ reveal some new features that might be made available on the phones, along with the latter’s design elements. As per the tipster Ice universe, Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ phones might feature special animations around the punch-hole on their display, which is apparently being borrowed from the Galaxy A8s.  The Galaxy S10 smartphones will bring the company’s Galaxy-O display globally for users. As per the report, the in-display camera on the phones is said to feature an illuminated ring around it and could also employ gestures like swiping down from the punch-hole to launch the camera app. The illuminated ring animation might also be shown when using face recognition for unlocking the phone and there could be more animations when the phone is handling different tasks. It’s not known how the animation will be adapted for the cameras on the Galaxy S10 and the S10+ since they are reported to feature single and dual front-cameras respectively.  Coming to the second leak, some images of the alleged screen protector of the Galaxy S10+ have surfaced online. The photos were initially posted on Weibo and suggest that the upcoming phone’s display might sport a highly reduced chin that is comparable to the chin on the iPhone X and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. While most phones feature a notched display, there is no reduction of the bottom bezels or the chin because the connectors on the panel are placed there. However, Apple got around it by sourcing OLED panels by Samsung that curve inward and it seems like the company might be using the same flexible panels on the S10 phones as well.  Related Reads: Samsung Galaxy S10 Rumour Roundup
