Redmi 7A first sale today at 12pm via Flipkart, Micom: Price, specs and all you need to know

Redmi recently announced its Redmi 7A smartphone in the country, which is an entry-level handset. The device is aimed at first-time smartphone users who are transitioning from feature phones to smartphones. Redmi 7A is priced starting at Rs 5,999 and it comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. It goes up against the likes of Realme C2 and other entry-level handsets. The phone also features a 12 PM camera on the back that is equipped with a Sony IMX486 sensor. 

Redmi 7A specifications

The Redmi 7A features a unibody matte finish and comes in Matte Blue, Matte Gold and Matte Black colours in India. The handset features a 5.45-inch HD+ Full HD display and as mentioned earlier, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC. It will be available in two storage variants, one with 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s also a dedicated microSD card slot to expand its storage up to 256GB. 

In terms of optics, it comes equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX 486 sensor on the rear, which is paired with an f/2.2 aperture lens. The handset is said to soon receive an AI scene detection feature via a future OTA update. On the front is a 5MP camera that supports AI face unlock, AI Background blurring, AI Beautify and some additional features. Backed by a 4000mAh battery that is touted to deliver 17 hours of HD video playback, the handset also features a splash resistant design and is said to sport reinforced corners. The device gets a two-year warranty and also comes equipped with wireless FM radio feature.

Redmi 7A price, availability and launch offers 

The 2GB RAM + 16GB storage version of the Redmi 7A is priced at Rs 5,999, while the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage version costs Rs 6,199. The company is offering a cashback of Rs 200 to customers who purchase the handset in July. The phone will go up for sale at 12 pm on July 11 via mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home. Xiaomi is also offering Rs 2,200 cashback to Jio users, along with additional 125GB data. On Flipkart, the handset will be available with 10 percent discount when bought via Axis Bank Buzz credit card.

Vivo Z1 Pro goes on sale today at 12 PM via Flipkart, Vivocom: Price, specifications, sale offers and more

Vivo launched the Z1 Pro in India earlier this month, and it will go up for sale for the first time in India today. It is a mid-range handset, which comes in three storage variants. The company has also packed a number of gaming-centric features in the Z1 Pro. The smartphone will be sold at 12pm via Flipkart and Vivo.com. Additionally, there are several offers on Flipkart that the buyers should know about. 

The Vivo Z1 Pro features a 6.53-inch full HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) IPS display, which houses a punch-hole selfie camera. Vivo is focusing on the budget gaming segment with the Z1 Pro. Hence, the smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with Adreno 616 GPU and up to 6GB RAM. It also features gaming enhancement options such as Game Cube and eSports mode, which are touted to optimise the gaming experience on the phone. Additionally, the battery can be charged with an 18W fast charger.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with triple-rear cameras. It sports a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.78 lens, an 8MP secondary sensor with a 120-degree super wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. on the front is a 32MP selfie-shooter.

Vivo Z1 Pro price and launch offers

The Vivo Z1 Pro comes in three variants, one with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant,  priced at Rs 14,990, Its 6GB + 64GB model is priced at Rs 16,990, while the highest variant that comes with GB RAM + 128GB storage will retail at Rs 17,990. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9, which is based on Android 9 Pie. In terms of colour variants, the Z1 Pro will be made available in Mirror Black, Sonic Black, and Sonic Blue colour variants. 

 

As for the launch offers, Flipkart is offering a discount of Rs 750 if you buy the handset via ICICI Bank debit and credit cards. Also, Vivo is offering benefits worth Rs 6,000 from Reliance Jio, if the purchase is made from Vivo India e-store.

You can now play as Keanu Reeves John Wick and Johnny Silverhand in Metal Gear Solid 5

Keanu Reeves recently embraced, and was embraced, by the gaming community. It appears that the first Keanu Reeves mod is available for Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The mod is created by ‘JinMar’ and it allows you to play as John Wick or Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077. 

Since this is a 3D swapper, it does not alter/change the voices. So, you will be able to listen to Keanu with Kiefer’s voice. Furthermore, this progress is still a project, meaning that there might be some glitches and graphical issues while you're leaping out of helicopters and knocking out opponent soldiers. Conveniently, MGS 5 already gives us a robo-arm to play with, so Silverhand fans get the best doppelganger, but they both look great.

To get the mod, players will first have to download the SnakeBite mod manager for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and then download JinMar’s mod. Go to the avatar customization option to flick between the two Keanu Reeves characters. Those interested can download the mod here and you can use the Hair 1 Preset to play as John Wick, or the Hair 2 Preset to play as Johnny SIlverhand from Cyberpunk 2077.

Some Keanu Reeves fans have also campaigned for the actor to be made Time’s person of the year, while others have asked Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED to add a special Reeves achievement to the game. It’s unclear whether these things will happen. However, like with this Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain mod, fans are unlikely to stop trying to come up with ways to show their love for Hollywood and gaming’s new “it” man.
