BSNL Abhinandan-151 plan revised to offer 500MB extra daily data
BSNL has revised its popular Abhnandan-151 plan. It was introduced only a few weeks ago, and offered 1GB daily data. It was launched in Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles. However, after the revision, the plan now comes with more data benefits. The state-run telecom company took it to Twitter to announce the revised plan benefits.
The telco is offering 500MB extra data per day for a period of 24 days. “Win with #BSNL’s Abhinandan-151 #Plan! Now data limit increased from 1 GB to 1.5 GB per day. Also Get #Unlimited Calls, Unlimited Data and 100 SMS/day,” said the official tweet.
As you can read from the tweet caption, the Abhinandan-151 plan comes with a validity period of 24 days and it now offers 1.5GB data per day. Furthermore, the plan offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls and 100 SMS per day for the subscribers, which remain the same as the plan before revision.
However, the is actually unlimited as the company will provide after FUP speeds of 40 Kbps which will be more than enough to do basic browsing and send WhatsApp messages.
To recall, BSNL Abhinandan-151 plan competes with Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 prepaid plan. The latter offers 1.5GB daily data as well, and it comes with 28 days of validity.
Recently, BSNL also launched a new membership programme named “Star 498.” It offers benefits such as unlimited voice calls (in all circles except Delhi and Mumbai), 1,000 SMS messages, and 30GB data. The data is valid for 30 days. However, the plan’s validity is for 365 days. The programme competes with Bharti Airtel’s “Airtel Thanks” loyalty programme. As of now, the Star 498 plan is being offered in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles. BSNL should, however, expand the plan in other circles in the future.
