Motorola One Zoom with 48MP quad-camera setup, Moto E6 Plus launched at IFA 2019

Motorola has announced the Motorola One Zoom and Moto E6 Plus at IFA 2019. The One Zoom is a mid-range offering with a 48MP quad rear camera setup, while the Moto E6 Plus sports a dual rear camera setup and a notch display. The Lenovo-owned company has revealed the price and availability of the devices. However, details regarding an Indian release remain unknown. 

Motorola One Zoom specifications, price and availability

The Motorola One Zoom features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) OLED Max Vision display. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display comes with 2.5D Panada King glass on top, while the rear has 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and has 128GB of internal storage. It sports a 6000-series aluminium body.

On the optics front, the Motorola One Zoom features a quad rear camera setup: a 48MP primary sensor with 4-in-1 pixel binning and 12MP output, an f/1.7 aperture, 1.6-micron pixels with OIS, and PDAF + 16MP wide-angle lens with117 degrees camera + an 8MP telephoto lens  with 3x optical zoom and OIS + a 5MP depth sensor. On the front lies a 25MP selfie shooter with 4-in-1 pixel binning and 6.25-megapixel output, effective 1.8-micron pixels, and an f/2.0 aperture. 

In the connectivity department, Motorola One Zoom has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C (v3.1), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone also packs a 4000mAh battery.

The Motorola One Zoom is priced at EUR 429 (approx Rs 34,000). It is now available in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries. Also, an Amazon-exclusive version with Alexa preloaded has gone on sale in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The smartphone will be made available in three colour variants, namely, Brushed Bronze, Cosmic Purple, and Electric Grey. 

Motorola Moto E6 Plus specifications, price and availability

The Motorola Moto E6 features a 6.1-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) Max Vision IPS display, which has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with up to 4GB RAM. It comes in 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage options. The memory can be expanded by up to 512GB with a microSD card. The phone has dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) onboard.

In the camera department, the Motorola Moto E6 sports a dual rear camera, which is a first for the E-series of smartphones. The smartphone has a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture + a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash module. On the front lies an 8MP selfie shooter. 

Connectivity options for the Motorola Moto E6 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs a 3000mAh battery and also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.

The Motorola Moto E6 Plus price starts at EUR 139 (approx Rs 11,000). It has gone on sale starting today in Latin America. The smartphone will roll out across the Asia Pacific region in the coming months. It will be made available in a single Silver Grey colour variant.

Oppo Reno2 Z goes on sale in India for Rs 29,990 on Amazonin, Flipkart

Oppo launched the Oppo Reno2 series in India on August 28, and today, on September 6, the Oppo Reno2 Z has gone on sale as well. The smartphone is up for grabs on the Amazon India website and Flipkart. It will also be available through offline retailers starting today. The highlight of the Oppo Reno2 Z is its triple rear camera setup. However, it does not feature the signature Oppo Reno shark fin-style pop-up camera module, instead, it has a generic pop-up selfie camera.

Oppo Reno2 Z specifications

The Oppo Reno2 Z features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) panoramic display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P90 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 charging.

On the optics front, the Oppo Reno2 Z sports a quad rear camera setup: a 48MPIMX586 sensor, assisted by a 119-degree 8MP sensor, and a pair of 2MP sensors for Portrait Mode 2.0. The rear cameras supports 2x optical zoom, ultra-steady video mode for up to 60fps frame rate, EIS for stabilisation, and an “Ultra Night Mode” for low-light photography. As mentioned above, the smartphone ditches the a shark fin-style rising module, and features a centrally aligned pop-up camera module instead, which houses a 16MP front camera.

The Oppo Reno2 Z runs ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Additionally, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oppo Reno2 Z price in India and sale offers

The Oppo Reno2 Z is priced at Rs 29,990 for the lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is available in two colour options, namely, Sky White and Luminous Black.

Launch offers on the Oppo Reno2 Z include zero down payment for EMI options on Bajaj Finserv, and 5 percent cashback for HDFC Bank debit or credit card holders on EMI transactions. Additionally, buyers purchasing the phone from Amazon or Flipkart can avail an additional discount of Rs 3000 on exchange, no-cost EMI and 10 percent instant discount on HDFC debit card or credit cards.

Vivo Z1X to launch in India today: Expected specs, price and more

The Vivo Z1X is all set to launch at 12pm today, September 6. The second Z-series smartphone in India has been teased by Vivo a number of times leading up to the launch. Hence, we already know quite a bit about the upcoming device. The Vivo Z1X is expected to sport triple rear cameras, a 4500mAh battery, and more. The launch event will be live streamed on the company’s Facebook page. 

Vivo Z1X expected specifications

The Vivo Z1X “is designed for consumers that are performance-oriented and love playing heavy density games on their handset,” said Vivo. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.38-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset. Vivo has also posted benchmark scores of the Snapdragon 712 on its website, comparing it to the Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 660 chipsets. 

Further, the Vivo Z1X is tipped to pack a 4500mAh battery that is said to support 22.5W Vivo FlashCharge technology that promises 3-hours worth of talk-time with just 5 minutes of charging. 

In the camera department, the Vivo Z1X is said to sport triple rear cameras:  a 48MP primary sensor consisting of the Sony IMX582 sensor, an ultra-wide angle sensor and a depth sensor. On the front, it is expected to include a 32MP selfie camera.

The phone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner that Vivo claims can unlock the phone in just 0.48 seconds. It will run Android Pie out of the box.

Vivo Z1X expected price in India

As mentioned above, the Vivo Z1X will be launched at 12pm today. The price is expected to be revealed at the event. For now, we don’t have any concrete information about the price of the device, though, it is expected to be launched in the sub-Rs. 20,000 segment. 

Vivo Z1X will be exclusive to Flipkart.
