GoPro Hero8 Black, Hero Max cameras launched along with new Mods

GoPro has announced its Hero8 Black and Hero Max cameras, along with some new mods. The Hero8 Black is features HyperSmooth 2.0 video stablitisation and has a new Boost mode for in-app horizon leveling. The GoPro Max is a dual lens GoPro camera. As for the new mods, the company has introduced the Media Mod, Display Mod and Light Mod.

HERO8 Black

HERO8 Black sends it big with next-level HyperSmooth 2.0 video stabilization—dramatically improved stabilization over HyperSmooth 1.0 (if you can believe that!). Spotify introduces Family Plan in India for Rs 179 per month

Spotify has announced the availability of its Premium Family Plan in India. It will cost users Rs 179 per month. It gives users living under one roof more choices to customise music streaming and podcasts, with ad-free, on-demand music listening experience. To recall, the Spotify Premium Family Plan was launched globally in 2014.

The Spotify Premium Family Plan was updated globally earlier this year. The update brought Parental Controls, Family Mix, and Family Hub to the streaming service. Users can try the Family Plan for free for the first three months. 

Users will have access to 450,000 podcast titles and 50 million tracks/songs under the new plan. The users who opt for Family Plan will get up to six accounts per family, where everyone gets to play their own music and podcasts.

“At a time where parents are trying to reduce screen time for both themselves and their family, we're creating more ways for families to bond over music together, while still celebrating individual tastes and giving parents more control if they want it,” said Alex Norström, Chief Premium Business Officer, Spotify.

For reference, Spotify was launched in India back in February. In July, Spotify Lite was launched in India, which is essentially a smaller, lighter version of the main Spotify app. It allows users to control cache, and enables users to clear it with a single tap. It can be downloaded separately from the main app.

PUBG Mobile developers have announced an in-game event called the Fancy October Giveaway. It is a new India exclusive offer where players can participate in some in-game challenges and get a chance to win a new iPhone 11. One can win some lucky draw coupons by playing the game and as a part of the event, one can also win an iPhone 11 Pro Max when they participate in a lucky draw. Alongside the new Apple iPhone, gamers can win earphones by boAt, some in-game outfits and skins. 

Additionally, PUBG Mobile previously announced a partnership with AMC’s The Walking Dead TV show and now, some new features under the partnership have been unveiled. Starting October 1 and early into 2020, players of the battle royale title will be able to collect some limited in-game items such as weapons, character skins, weapons and a new vehicle that has appeared on the TV show. 

PUBG Mobile: How to participate in iPhone 11 Pro Max event 

To participate in the event and get a chance to win the iPhone 11 Pro Max, one needs to be logged into the game. They can then head over to the Events section, which is the crate icon on the lower right corner. Tap on the Time Limited section on the top and select the ‘Dusshera Lucky Draw’ option. Players will be redirected to a webpage where they can participate in the lucky draw. However, in order to participate in the draw, one needs to complete some missions. 

PUBG Mobile and The Walking Dead partnership

As mentioned above, PUBG Mobile has made some new announcements under its partnership with The Walking Dead TV show. Players will get a chance to “traverse the battlefield as familiar heroes or an iconic villain.” We assume that it means players will be able to select a character from The Walking Dead as their in-game avatar. There are also some limited in-game items such as weapons, character skins, and a vehicle that will also be available. There’s also a new Walking Dead Board Game available within PUBG Mobile, which can be accessed from the bottom right corner on the main menu.

There’s also event missions to complete items to collect for advancing and earning points. Players can exchange the points they earn for rewards, one of the notable ones being a permanent Daryl Dixon's Motorcycle. More events and characters added to the game soon.

HP Spectre x360 refreshed with Intel 10th Gen Core series Ice Lake processors

HP has unveiled its new Spectre x360 13. The updated version is smaller than its predecessor, has a better OLED display with up to 4K resolution, better battery life and more. The new model retains the sleek metallic design and packs more power, thanks to Intel’s 10th Gen Core series. It has up to 16GB RAM and 2TB  of PCIe SSD storage. 

HP claims that it has reduced the new Spectre x360 13 percent in size from the last year’s model. There is also an option for 4K OLED display. Further, the company says the laptop has two times the performance of the previous generation. The new HP Spectre x360 is touted to offer 22 hours of battery life. 

As for other specifications, the refreshed HP x360 laptop is equipped with 13.3-inch 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) AMOLED display. The company claims it can deliver peak brightness of 400 nits and can produce 100 percent of the colours in the DCI-P3 gamut. It supports 4x4 Gigabit-class 4G LTE as well as Wi-Fi 6 standard and also enables users to utilise both LTE and Wi-Fi networks simultaneously. 

In terms of ports department, HP Spectre x360 includes  two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, DisplayPort 1.4, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, one headphone/microphone combo, one HDMI 2.0 port, and microSD card slot.

The HP x360 is priced at $1,099 (approx Rs 78,000) for the base model packing the 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 256GB SSD storage. The Core-i7 1065G7 processor model costs $1,499 (approx Rs 1,00,600). It has 16GB RAM. This model also has two other features, namely, an anti-reflective panel + 512GB SSD storage and a standard OLED panel + 1TB SSD storage.
