Gigabyte launches new motherboards along with a gaming monitor

Gigabyte has announced a new gaming monitor and motherboards. The company has launched the AORUS CV27F Tactical Monitor. The CV27F uses a 27-inch FHD (1920x1080 resolution, 16:9 ratio) 1500R curved VA panel. Further, it has launched the X299X Series of Motherboards based on the newly upgraded X299 chipset. The new motherboards feature a 16-phase digital power design, an 8-DIMM Quad Channel DDR4 design with up to 256GB memory support to handle memory-intensive tasks such as file conversion, video editing, and more with ease.

The AORUS CV27F monitor gives users 1ms (MPRT) response time and 165Hz refresh rate, along with 90% DCI-P3 and 8 Bits of colour. It supports AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR technology that provides LFC (Low framerate compensation) techniques. It has features like black equaliser, aim stabiliser, GameAssist and more. GameAssist is a kit of OSD functions that helps users in-game. It includes a customizable crosshair, a counter, a timer, and multi-screen alignment lines.

Coming to the motherboards, the new X299X stack features a trio of high-end models, the X299X Designare 10G, X299 AORUS Xtreme WaterForce, and the X299X AORUS Master. They have features such as the Intel Thunderbolt 3 transmission interface, 5Gbps or 10Gbps network connectivity, multi-display configuration, M.2 Thermal Guard, PCIe slot armor, Smart Fan 5 and more.

With up to 16-phases, the power designs on X299X motherboards are geared towards the most efficient performance on Intel Core X series processors. They have built-in Intel Thunderbolt 3 via two USB Type-C interfaces for 40 Gb/s bandwidth, which not only saves time but also facilitates transfers of larger files.

Built-in NVMe PCIe x4 M.2 slots on GIGABYTE X299X motherboards provide single slot transmission speeds up to 32Gb/s. For the M.2 slots, users can choose to allocate the lanes from the chipset or CPU to install Intel Optane Memory or set up VROC disk array for storage performance. To combat thermal throttling and prevent excess heat from slowing down read/write speeds on M.2 SSD devices while they are operating at high speeds, Gigabyte has implemented M.2 Thermal Guard to ensure that heat doesn’t slow M.2 SSD performance.

X299X AORUS Xtreme WaterForce and X299X Designare 10G models both come with the AORUS Gen4 AIC Adaptor which offers users four additional M.2 PCIe X4 slots for increased SSD expansion.

Select Gigabyte X299X series motherboards come with the newest ALC 1220-VB IC and professional-grade ESS 9218 Sabre DAC.

The GIGABYTE X299X series motherboards will be available soon.

Gigabyte has also announced the Zero Bright Dot Guarantee for all the AORUS tactical gaming monitors. It is valid within one year of original purchase.

HMD Global launched its Nokia 8.1 smartphone in December 2018 and it could follow up with a Nokia 8.2 this year. As per a new report by NokiaMob, it seems like the company is gearing up to announce the Nokia 8.2 before the year ends. In addition, there could also be the Nokia 5.2, which would succeed the Nokia 5.1, and it might sport a design similar to the recently announced Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 handsets. OnePlus 7T Pro Haze Blue colour variant renders leaked, along with possible case options

OnePlus recently unveiled its OnePlus 7T handset in India and is expected to announce its OnePlus 7T Pro smartphone at an event on October 10. However, the upcoming handset is being leaked extensively ahead of the official announcement and now, we have some new renders of the handset. Leaked by the tipster Ishaan Agarwal, the Oneplus 7T Pro renders show off the handset’s design in a new Haze Blue colour edition. Going by the images, it seems like there won’t be a big design change in the handset as compared with the OnePlus 7 Pro. The display is notch-free with minimal bezels around it and it is most likely to sport a pop-up camera module.

Previous reports on the internet suggest that the OnePlus 7T Pro could feature a 6.65-inch AMOLED quad HD+ display with a 1440 x 3100 pixel resolution. It is already confirmed that the handset will get a 90Hz display since OnePlus has already said that all its future phones will sport a higher refresh rate display starting at 90Hz. Coming back to the leaked renders, ášhe rear panel of the handset sports a vertically stacked triple camera setup, which is centrally aligned. The device is expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In addition to the new renders of the OnePlus 7T Pro, the tipster also shared few images of its cover case options. OnePlus could offer a Karbon Bumper, Nylon Bumper, Karbon Protective and Sandstone Protective rear panel covers for the handset. The OnePlus 7T Pro will be running on Snapdragon 855+ SoC, unless there’s a surprise planned by Qualcomm and OnePlus. It might come equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of inbuilt storage. The OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to get a global release on October 10.

While OnePlus is gearing up to announce the OnePlus 7T Pro, early renders of the OnePlus 8 also surfaced online. The renders hint at a design change with the OnePlus 8, which is seen featuring a punch-hole display design. The display can also be seen curing along the edges, which is something similar to what Samsung has already been doing with its Galaxy S series of phones.
