Nokia Smart TV sporting an ADS 10-bit panel, running on Android TV 9 with Sound by JBL launched on Flipkart, at Rs 41,999

Nokia has lifted the veil off its Smart TV. The Nokia Smart TV will go on sale on December 10 via Flipkart. The TV will be available in a 55-inch variant priced at Rs 41,999. Speaking of the features, the TV runs on Android TV 9 out of the box with support for Netflix and Prime Videos. Running on Android TV, users also have access to the Play Store for their streaming services and apps needs. Coming to the panel, it has a 10-bit ADS panel with 400 nits of brightness. It covers 85-90% of 10-bit colour space. The TV also supports Dolby Vision which is Dolby’s object based HDR rendering. There is a lot of Dolby Vision content available via streaming services like Netflix, so having the feature is a boon for the TV.

When it comes to audio, the Nokia Smart TVs audio is powered by JBL with 24W of sound output. The sound tuning and equaliser are catered to by JBL. The TV has two full range drivers, front facing tweeters and down firing mid and low range drivers. There is no separate woofer. In the limited time we spent with the TV, we can tell you that the picture looks impressive and the sound quality was good for stereo separation. The TV also supports Dolby Audio and DTS Trusurround.

The Nokia Smart TV runs on a quad-core processor coupled with 2.25GB RAM and 16GB storage. It also boasts of MEMC technology, to enhance the picture quality and claims to “eliminates blurs and judders for a screen shift devoid of lags, thus offering better picture definition”.

At first glance, we can tell you that the TV looks impressive. The performance is very similar to an IPS panel when it comes to colours. The blacks aren't as deep as a VA panel, but remember that an IPS panel has better viewing angles. Colors look more real and not over saturated.

As we exclusively reported earlier, the TV has slim bezels giving it a nearly bezel-free design. The TV brings with it a premium metallic frame.

Samsung Galaxy A51 renders reveal thin bezels with a punch-hole display

Samsung Galaxy A series has been a critical growth factor for Samsung this year. The company is looking to expand the lineup with the Galaxy A51. Alleged renders of the device have leaked on the internet. The Galaxy A51 renders reveal thin bezels and a Galaxy Note10-like display. The leaks come after the company teased the launch of Galaxy A 2020 on the Samsung Vietnam website.

The latest development comes from the tipster Evan Blass, which gives us a look at the front of the Samsung Galaxy A51. The device is said to feature a 6.5-inch display. It is seen to sport a punch-hole notch, which is placed at the centre of the phone, unlike the Galaxy S10-series. The bezels also seem pretty thin on all four sides. While we can see the front of the device, there is no render leak for the rear panel of the Galaxy A51.

Previously, Samsung Galaxy A51 was spotted getting Bluetooth certification. The Galaxy A51 is said to be the first Galaxy A smartphone from Samsung in 2020. The back panel of Galaxy A51 was leaked a few days ago, which revealed an L-shaped setup for the previously speculated, quad-camera setup. It is said to come equipped with a 48MP primary sensor. The smartphone may sport a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto sensor and a 5MP depth camera. It could have a 32MP selfie shooter as well.

The device may come equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung Galaxy A51 was reportedly spotted on Geekbench as well. It revealed that the device scored 323 points in the single-core and 1,185 points in the multi-core tests. The smartphone could be powered by the 10nm FinFet Exynos 9611 SoC, paired with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It is tipped to run Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top. The smartphone is rumoured to pack a 4000mAh battery.

Moreover, alleged the Galaxy A51 support page also appeared on the Samsung Russia website.

Nokia 82, Nokia 52, Nokia 23 could launch today: Live stream, expected price and more

The Nokia event is all set to take place in Cairo, Egypt tonight. The company is expected to launch at least one smartphone at the event. The company revealed a video teaser on Twitter teasing the launch event. While the devices to be launched are not known, the company could announce the Nokia 2.3 or Nokia 5.2. It could also be the Nokia 8.2, considering the Nokia 8.1 was launched around the same time last year. The launch event will take place in the Egyptian capital city of Cairo.

The Nokia event will be live-streamed through the official Nokia Mobile YouTube channel. The event will kick off at 10:30 PM tonight. You can watch the live stream of the event below.

The Nokia 8.1 was revealed on December 5 last year, so it makes sense to expect a successor to the top-of-the-line product. While some reports have claimed that Nokia may only launch a 5G variant of the Nokia 8.2, others say that a 4G variant could be announced tonight. The Nokia 8.2 is expected to sport a 64MP primary camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It is said not to be waterproof or have support for wireless charging. There have also been a few leaks of the Nokia 8.2, hinting at Nokia sticking to the Snapdragon 700-series for the firepower, but with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in tow.

The company may launch a mid-range Nokia 5.2 or a budget Nokia 2.3 as well. The latter surfaced in a distributor database a few weeks back, with three colour options to choose from. An alleged Nokia 5.2 has also been spotted in the wild, indicating it’s finally ready for launch. It may have a 48MP rear camera.
