OnePlus working on its own AirPods competitor: Report

Truly wireless earbuds are poised to go big next year. We are already anticipating a budget-friendly offering from Realme and now, it seems like OnePlus is also planning on jumping on that bandwagon. A tweet by Tipster Max J. hinted at a new truly wireless earbuds coming from OnePlus.

The tweet didn’t have any concrete information about what it will have and how it will look, but just a concept image alluding to enjoying audio without cords getting in the way.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, which is indeed wireless but the earbuds themselves are tethered to each other via a cord. At the same time, OnePlus’ rivals Samsung, Huawei and Apple have come out with the Galaxy Buds, Free Buds, and AirPods Pro, respectively. Even Realme has teased a truly wireless solution called the Realme Buds Air which will launch first in India on December 17th.

If the information in the tweet is any indication, the next Bullets Wireless earbud from OnePlus could be truly wireless, and could offer features similar to its rivals, at a more affordable price. We will have to wait till next year to find out more about it.

Huawei P40 renders, specs leak, suggest 65-inch screen, 5500mAh battery

It appears Chinese electronics company Huawei will go ahead with the global launch of its upcoming smartphone, the Huawei P40, despite being locked out of Google Mobile Services. Though we're still months away from the launch, we're beginning to see leaked specs and renders online that give us a hint about Huawei's upcoming device. From what we know so far, it will sport a 6.5-inch 2K OLED ‘Waterfall’ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 98-per cent screen-to-body ratio.. Its optics system will continue to be powered by Leica.

The Huawei P40's specs were recently revealed by leakster Yash Raj Chaudhary on Twitter. Though Chaudhary hasn't been in the business of leaking device news for a long time, his leaks are considered to be from legitimate sources. At any rate, we recommend you take them with a pinch of salt. His tweets suggest that the Huawei P40 will sport a Leica Penta Camera system, which includes a Sony IMX686 64MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 20MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto sensor along with a macro camera and time-of-flight sensor.

“Huawei P40 will innovatively apply graphene materials to the positive and negative electrodes and electrolytes of mobile phone batteries. This makes the battery capacity of Huawei P40 reach 5500mAh, but its volume is only 70% of that of lithium batteries,” informs Chaudhary on Twitter. The Huawei P40 is expected to employ a new 50W flash charging system, which should juice the battery up fully in 45 minutes. The device is expected to be powered by a Kirin 990 5G chipset, run Android-based EMUI 10, and sport two selfie cameras like the Nova 6 5G.

In another tweet, posted by Teme, we see a render that shows the side profile of the Huawei P40. We can tell it has a curved design around the sides and a visible camera bump on the back panel. The details revealed about its display line up with those shared by Chaudhary. We expect the Huawei P40 to be followed up with a ‘Pro’ version, which could sport similar specs. The Huawei P40 is expected to be announced in March 2020 in Europe. It should be interesting to see Huawei packages the software on its new device with any support from Google.

6.57" pph, 2K/FHD+, HDR, DCI-P3, WF AMOLED Display A simpler name would be nice

Samsung Galaxy S11 leaks have been coming in for a while now. The Galaxy S11 is said to come equipped with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Also, the Galaxy S11 has been reportedly certified in China for 25W fast charging. Another leak claims that the Galaxy S11+ could sport a custom 108MP camera sensor that will be different than the ISOCELL HMX Bright sensor unveiled a few months ago. The new sensor is said to be different from the one used on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10. However, what will be “superior” in the new sensor remains unknown.

The Samsung Galaxy S11 is expected to be made available in three sizes - 6.2 or 6.4-inch, 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch models. The S11+ said to feature a rectangular camera module that may sport up to five sensors along with laser autofocus and a flash. It is likely to stick with the curved display.

Coming to the second device, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 on February 18. It is tipped to be a clamshell foldable phone like the Motorola Razr 2019. The handset is rumoured to be priced lower than the Galaxy Fold.
