Samsung Galaxy Note10, Note10+ reportedly receiving stable Android 10 update

Samsung has already rolled out the Android 10 update for its Galaxy S10 series of smartphones and it seems like the Note10 series of handsets are next. As per a report by SamMobile, the South-Korean smartphone manufacturer is now rolling out the Android 10 update with One UI 2.0 for its Note10 series of phones, which includes the Galaxy Note10 and the Note10+. However, the update is said to be hitting devices that were already enrolled in the beta programme for One UI 2.0 in Germany. The update is said to feature the version number N97*FXXU1BSL7 and weighs in around 145MB for beta users.

We can expect the rollout to continue and broaden over time and surely, we will report when the update starts rolling out in India. However, we recall that the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S10 series of handsets was about 2GB in size and the smaller size update might be only for Note10 users on One UI beta since under the program, they received five firmware updates. So, for users who aren’t on the beta program, we can expect the Android 10 update to be comparably hefty. While the update is said to be rolling out in Germany right now, checking for it on your phones can’t hurt.

You can head over to Settings and System Updates tab to force check for an update. Let us know in the comments if you see the Android 10 update for your device in India. However, going by a previous update schedule that the company shared on the Samsung Members app, the Note10 series of devices are due for the Android 10 update in January. As for the Galaxy Note10, it is the company’s flagship handset that sports a new display design, renewed features and upgraded hardware. Heres the coolest winter binge list with films and shows like 6 Underground and The Expanse

Don’t let the winters get you down this weekend and we here at Digit have got an awesome lineup of films, shows and documentaries for you to check out. So get those warm blankets out and brew a warm cup of hot chocolate and binge the weekend away.

Netflix:

6 Underground

Netflix have gone blockbuster as the company has roped in Michael Bay to direct one of their biggest films of the year in 6 Underground. You’ve all seen the trailer and if there is one thing to take away from this is that the film is going to look amazing.

Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks

For a lot of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s, kung fu movies were a great form of release. From the choreographed fight sequences to the corny acting, we lapped it all up. So if you have a passing interest in the Hong Kong action spectacle, this film is just right for you.

The Movies That Made Us

Again, this is for all of us who grew up during the 80s and 90s. The Movies That Made Us takes a closer look at some of the most iconic films that have influenced more than just the next generation. This series tips its hat at films like Ghostbusters and Home Alone.

Hotstar:

White Light/ Black Rain

One of the most haunting films on the list, White Light/Black Rain looks at the aftermath of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War 2 through extensive interviews and exclusive footage. Relive one of the most frightening times in human history through the eyes of people who were actually there.

Barry

What’s not to love about a hitman who wants to be an actor? Not much, I’ll tell you that much. Barry stars Rainn Wilson as a hitman who suddenly and inexplicably decides to follow his passion for acting all while whacking fools and waxing philosophical. The series is darkly funny and has got some of the best lines on TV.

The Knick

One of the most true-to-life shows out there The Knick tells the story of The Knickerbocker hospital in New York during the early 20th century when medicine was not as sophisticated as it is today. Cue the botched operations and casual racism and Clive Ownes playing an absolute madman.

Prime Video

The Expanse

One of the best sci-fi shows out there The Expanse is not only scientifically plausible but it also throws in relatable and complicated characters into a world that is fully realized. After the show was cancelled on the Sy-Fy network, Prime Video picked up the tab and saved the show with a much-awaited 4th Season.

The Report

Look, the less you know about the film, the better. A harrowing look at the US justice system and how the reins of civility are thrown out of the window after the 9/11 attacks. Adam Driver is riveting in the role and is a film not to be missed.

Asterix: Mansion of the Gods

What can be said about the legendary Asterix series that has not been said before? The comic book has been a staple in libraries all over the world and this film is the latest adaptation of the infamous characters from the celebrated graphic novel.

First time ever: OnePlus will host a Special Event at CES 2020

OnePlus recently won the CES Innovation Award 2020 for the OnePlus 7 Pro. Now, the company has announced that it will be hosting a Special Event at CES 2020. For reference, OnePlus has never been a part of CES. The company is all set to make its CES debut in 2020, which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas from January 7-10. As of now, we don’t have any information regarding the product or products OnePlus will be showcasing at the event.

OnePlus has sent out media invites to announce its presence at CES 2020. The teaser has a tone of Orange-Black that is generally associated with its McLaren Edition phones. However, the company has already announced the McLaren Edition for the OnePlus 7T Pro. Also, we are not expecting another phone from the company as it launched the OnePlus 7T series a couple of months ago and the timeline doesn’t fit OnePlus’ regular launch cycle.

So what is OnePlus up to? As for recent rumours, OnePlus is looking forward to launching an Airpods-rival. The company could announce its truly wireless earphones at the Special Event in CES 2020. According to the rumours, the next Bullets Wireless earbud from OnePlus could be truly wireless. We are expecting it to be showcased at CES 2020.

To recall, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, which is indeed wireless but the earbuds themselves are tethered to each other via a cord. OnePlus’ rivals Samsung, Huawei and Apple have come out with the Galaxy Buds, Free Buds, and AirPods Pro, respectively. Even Realme is all set to introduce the Realme Buds Air on December 17.

OnePlus could also take the stage to announce its partnership with Qualcomm to introduce the Snapdragon 865 chipset in its upcoming devices. Several manufacturers have announced that their 2020 flagships will sport Snapdragon’s latest chipsets, but OnePlus is yet to say anything. It could also announce its plans to launch 5G devices in 2020.

As for phones, the most recent render spotted was for a mid-range device, which is being referred to as the OnePlus 8 Lite. OnePlus 8 Lite renders hint at a Galaxy Note10-like display. The device was shown to sport a centrally placed punch-hole display. The positioning is different from what we saw on the renders of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro - they are supposed to have the punch-hole on the left corner. While OnePlus 8 Lite is said to come equipped with a USB Type-C port,  a 3.5mm headphone jack is not seen on the alleged device renders.

To recall, the company has launched a mid-ranger in the past, the OnePlus X. But it was launched in October. OnePlus has no history of launching devices in January, but then, it has never launched a Lite variant of its flagship either. However, we would suggest you keep your expectations minimal. Despite the rumours, OnePlus is unlikely to launch the OnePlus 8 series in January. If it’s a phone, information regarding it is highly likely to leak in the upcoming days.

OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro OxygenOS 1003 update brings November 2019 security patches

OnePlus is usually quick when it comes to releasing updates for its handsets. Its OnePlus 6/6T and the OnePlus 7/7Pro smartphones are already on ášhe latest version of Android and the company is now releasing the new OxygenOS 10.0.3 update for the latter handsets. OnePlus posted an update on its forum for the patch, which is an incremental update. As per the changelog, there aren’t any features being added but the Android security patch of the phones is being updated to November 2019. Additionally, the update brings improved system stability and general bug fixes.

As per OnePlus, the new update will be rolled out in phases and thus, it could take some time for the patch to be made available on your phone. However, you can perform a force check for the update by heading over to Settings, Software Update and manually checking for it. Do note that while the update is said to be incremental, it is about 2GB in size and can eat into your data plan.

In other OnePlus news, the company is reportedly working on its own truly wireless earphones, which are expected to compete with the Apple AirPods Pro. A tipster recently hinted that the audio device is in the pipeline and posted a concept image. While that is not much to go on by, it was enough to launch a flurry of speculations. Currently, OnePlus’ rivals Samsung, Huawei and Apple have come out with the Galaxy Buds, Free Buds, and AirPods Pro, respectively. Realme is also launching Realme Buds Air truly wireless earphones on December 17.

Speaking of the upcoming Realme Buds, they are confirmed to feature a design similar to the Apple AirPods. The device’s case is also confirmed to be capable of charging wirelessly. You can read more about the upcoming device here.
