Oppo Find X2 confirmed to be launched on February 22

After weeks of teasing its upcoming flagship smartphone on various social media platforms, Oppo has finally announced that it will launch the Find X2 in Barcelona, Spain on February 22. Successor to the original Find X that was launched in 2018, the Find X2 will be one of the many smartphone launches we expect to see at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The Oppo Find X2 is expected to come with a number of trending smartphone features, including a 120Hz screen and fast charging.

A few weeks ago, Oppo Vice President Shen Yiren confirmed on Weibo that the Find X2 would come with support for 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charging. This, as we know, is the highest rated charging system available commercially in the market at the moment. In addition, the Find X2 is said to sport a battery whose capacity equals or exceeds 4000mAh. The Find X, by contrast, has a smaller 3730mAh battery. Oppo is likely to claim that its new smartphone will regain most of its full charge in thirty minutes.

We expect the Oppo Find X2 to sport a 6.5-inch curved OLED screen with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. The Find X2's screen is said to have a high refresh rate of 120Hz so the handset can keep up with the competition in terms of smoothness in animation. Users of the Find X2 should be able to switch to a lower screen resolution and halve the refresh rate to improve battery life. The Find X, by contrast, features a slightly smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution.

Oppo launched the Find X in India in July 2018 at a starting price of Rs 59,990. At the time of its launch, the handset was best known for its mechanical sliding camera setup, which freed up space on the phone's front face for a curved display with very slim bezels. The Find X was powered by a flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. Motorola Edge+ flagship phone leaks with a curved punch-hole display

Motorola is hosting a launch event at MWC 2020 where it is said to announce a new flagship device alongside a couple of Moto G8 devices. This year’s Motorola flagship is expected to be called Moto Edge+. The phone name was first revealed by tipster Evan Blass. Now, alleged live images of the device have appeared online. The Motorola Edge+ is rumoured to sport a curved display with a punch-hole display.

The latest development comes from XDA-Developers. The Motorola Edge+ appears to feature a curved panel much like that of the Vivo Nex 3 and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. However, it retains the physical volume buttons. The Motorola flagship phone is reportedly codenamed ‘burton' or ‘racer turbo'.

The company has already confirmed that it will be launching phones powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC and the mid-range Snapdragon 765 SoC. The Motorola Edge+ is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. It is said to come in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. It may pack a 5170mAh battery. However, there is no word on fast charging yet.

The Motorola Edge+ is rumoured to feature a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display with a punch-hole notch. In the images, the size of the hole-punch is noticeably smaller than the one on the Motorola One Vision. The phone was also spotted on Geekbench. It scored 4106 in the single-core test and recorded a score of 12823 in the multi-core test. Motorola Edge+ is likely to run Android 10. Other specifications of the smartphone are yet to be known. But we expect more details to show up online as we inch closer to the launch date.

Moto G8 Power appears on Amazon listing, leaked specs, design and more

When Motorola launched the Moto G8 Plus in India last October, the company said it had no plans to launch more Moto G8 models. Since then, Moto G8 has appeared online and now Moto G8 Power has popped up too. The phone has been spotted listed on the Amazon UK website. The listing reveals the design and full specifications of the smartphone. The website listed the Moto G8 Power in Black and Blue options. However, at the time of filing this story, the listing has been pulled.

The listings were spotted by tipster Roland Quandt first. The Moto G8 Power was listed to feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. According to the listing, Moto G8 Power will sport a quad-camera setup at the back with a 16MP primary camera and a 2MP macro lens detailed. The resolutions of the other two sensors have not been detailed. The camera was seen to be aligned vertically and placed on the upper left corner of the phone, just like the Moto G8 Plus.

The Moto G8 Power was listed to support dual-SIM slots. It will run on Android 10 software, and pack a big 5000mAh battery, which is claimed to last for up to three days. The phone will also support dual stereo speakers. The website listed Moto G8 Power in Smoke Black and Capri Blue colour options. The smartphone has been seen sporting a punch-hole display. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right edge.

Motorola will be hosting a launch event at the MWC 2020. It is expected to launch a flagship smartphone alongside the Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power at the event.
