Oppo Find X2 confirmed to be launched on February 22
After weeks of teasing its upcoming flagship smartphone on various social media platforms, Oppo has finally announced that it will launch the Find X2 in Barcelona, Spain on February 22. Successor to the original Find X that was launched in 2018, the Find X2 will be one of the many smartphone launches we expect to see at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). The Oppo Find X2 is expected to come with a number of trending smartphone features, including a 120Hz screen and fast charging.
A few weeks ago, Oppo Vice President Shen Yiren confirmed on Weibo that the Find X2 would come with support for 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charging. This, as we know, is the highest rated charging system available commercially in the market at the moment. In addition, the Find X2 is said to sport a battery whose capacity equals or exceeds 4000mAh. The Find X, by contrast, has a smaller 3730mAh battery. Oppo is likely to claim that its new smartphone will regain most of its full charge in thirty minutes.
We expect the Oppo Find X2 to sport a 6.5-inch curved OLED screen with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. The Find X2's screen is said to have a high refresh rate of 120Hz so the handset can keep up with the competition in terms of smoothness in animation. Users of the Find X2 should be able to switch to a lower screen resolution and halve the refresh rate to improve battery life. The Find X, by contrast, features a slightly smaller 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution.
Oppo launched the Find X in India in July 2018 at a starting price of Rs 59,990. At the time of its launch, the handset was best known for its mechanical sliding camera setup, which freed up space on the phone's front face for a curved display with very slim bezels. The Find X was powered by a flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space.
