PUBG Mobile is getting a new mode on April 16: Everything you need to know

PUBG Mobile is set to get a brand new mode tomorrow and, Tencent Mobile, the guys behind the game, has revealed more of what players can come to expect. Starting things off is the fact that the new game mode will be called Arctic Mode and not Cold Front Survival mode as it was initially thought. The new model will be a part of the EvoGround game mode selection.

The new game mode will be set in Vikendi and challenges players to maintain their characters’ body temperatures to survive the periodic arctic storms that will ravage the map. Players will have to work together to ensure that their body temperature is high. Aside from this, players will also have to fend off enemies and scavenge for loot.

In order to maintain their body temperatures, players will have to use a lighter to create an indoor fire, and then forage for branches in order to keep the fire going. Players can also hunt wild chickens to collect meat, then be cooked and eaten to restore body temperature. The third and final way players can restore body temperature is by using resources like heaters and health packs.

Another new addition will be remote-control drones that can be used to scout surrounding areas. This should open up a whole world of possibilities when planning tactics and strategies. Besides this, players will also get to use snowboards to ride in the snow. To recall, snowboards were first introduced in the Winter Festival update.

Google Maps now shows Delhi Governments Food Distribution Centres and Night Shelters

Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal took to twitter to announce that people can search for Delhi Government’s Food Distribution Centres and Night Shelters using Google maps. The tweet reads, “As we prepare for an extended lockdown, we are proud to work together with @GoogleIndia Maps in ensuring easy accessibility of all our food and night shelters. We are committed to do everything possible to make life easy for those most affected by the lockdown.”

To find a food shelter, one simply needs to open Google Maps and search for food shelter in Delhi or night shelter in Delhi and the results will pop up letting users navigate to the shelter.

Google has been working closely with state and central government authorities to pin the locations of COVID-19 relief centers to highlight public food and night shelters on Google Maps since the beginning of April. When the service launched via Google Maps, shelters across 30 cities could be located. That number has now risen to 32. People can simply search for ‘Food shelters in ’ or ‘Night shelters in ’ to find the results.

Google has said on Twitter that it is “Expanding beyond 30 cities: Food & night shelters can now be found in Delhi, Aligarh, and Bhagalpur”.

With the increasing number of poor people affected by the lockdown, it is essential that essential services be provided to them. This is one way of them to identify the center closest to them for food and shelter.
