Doom Eternal DLC will bring changes in multiplayer mode along with empowered demons and a new campaign

After the success of Doom Eternal, the creators of the game have announced the first wave of DLC content for the shooter. A couple of screenshots is all we’ve got at this point but they do look rather cool with its dark aesthetic and future-gothic look. The DLC is included in the Year One Pass and no release date has been announced for the DLC content as yet. In an official statement on the website, Associate Content Manager, Bethesda, Parker Wilhelm said, “The community of longtime fans and newcomers alike wowed us once again with their overwhelming support and impressive demon-slaying skills. Things are only heating up, however, as Update 1 is almost here to bring a ton of features, fixes and enhancements to the game!

As explained on the blog post, the DLC will also add ‘empowered demons’. These demons are essentially beefed-up versions of the in-game counterparts who’ve killed another player in their single-player campaign and are now coming for your soul. If you manage to defeat these demons, you’ll be rewarded with a large amount of health and ammo along with bonus XP to progress in-game events.

Other features in the DLC will include Denuvo Anticheat features, changes to the tutorial walkthrough, poor network connection indicators, Echelon Leveling for players at the maximum level and a Death Report screen to offer players more combat insight mid-match. For single players, quality of life improvements such as balance fixes, expanded demon tutorials along with dashing vertically in the water and the adjustment of toxic damage while swimming will also be added.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro tipped to feature 120Hz ProMotion display, 3x optical zoom

Another day, another iPhone 12 leak. EverythingApplePro has posted another video and this time about, they are working with the notable tipster, Max Weinbach. The new video claims to offer more claims to detail information about the 2020 iPhones, tipped to be the iPhone 12 series of devices. As per the video, the upcoming iPhones will offer a refresh rate of 120Hz, at least in the top-end variants.

The video claims that the iPhone 12 will dynamically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz in order to conserve battery, similar to the ProMotion tech used in the iPad Pro. It was also added that Apple would be increasing the battery capacity in order to maintain a good battery life. This isn’t the first report that claims Apple will offer a 120Hz refresh rate in its 2020 iPhones. Back in October, Digitimes reported pretty much the same information about Apple using its ProMotion tech on iPhones.

Coming back to the video, Apple is said to be improving it’s low-light photography capabilities with faster autofocus speeds improved image stabilization. Most leaks suggest that the new phones will come with a new LiDAR sensor that should increase autofocus speeds and should improve the accuracy of Portrait Mode photos. Further, the telephoto lens is tipped to offer 3x zoom instead of the 2x zoom it currently offers. Further, Apple is also tipped to improve the low light capability of the telephoto sensor.  There were reports that Apple wan planning to switch to a 64MP sensor, but EverythingApplePro’s video claims that will not be happening due to issues with autofocus and as such, the company may stick with a 12MP sensor, at least for another generation.

Further, Apple is also said to improve FaceID by widening the area that the system scans. This should reduce the need for users to hold the straight in front of their face when they want to unlock it.

Reliance Jio cuts back on benefits offered with Work From Home recharge plans

Reliance Jio has modified the benefits of its Work from home plans and now offers fixed data over your existing plans. Previously, Jio was offering 2GB data per day for 51 days under its work from home tariff plans, but now, there are three plans that serve as a top-up rather than a voucher with a validity.

Jio’s work from home plans start at Rs 151 and offers 30GB data over your current tariff plan. Similarly, Rs 201 voucher gives you 40GB worth of data and Rs 251 recharge plan offers 50GB data over the base plan validity. Do note, the work from home plans don’t come with any calling or SMS benefits and if you’re looking for add-on packs with calling and SMS benefits, Jio offers 4G data vouchers starting at Rs 11.

Reliance Jio Work from home plans

Reliance Jio earlier provided 2GB high-speed data per day under its work from home plan for 51 days for Rs 251. However, the company has now modified the benefits of the work from home plans and now offers fixed data with base plan validity.

Jio’s work from home packs is priced at Rs 151, Rs 201 and Rs 251 with 30GB/40GB/50GB data benefits. In comparison, the earlier work from the home plan offered 102GB data for 51 days and now for the same price, you get almost half the data and base plan validity. So, in addition to the work from the home pack, a Jio user also needs to have an active base plan which starts from Rs 149.

Jio also recently introduced two annual plans that come with a validity of 365 days. The plans are priced at Rs 2121 and Rs 2399, offering 1.5GB data per day and 2GB data/day respectively. Both these plans will set you up for a year without the need for you to recharge your Jio account regularly.

Call of Duty: Mobile roadmap revealed, Battle Royale map to be expanded in June

Activision has unveiled a roadmap for Call of Duty: Mobile over on Reddit. The information was part of a community update. Most of the events mentioned like the Gold Rush event are already live. However, there are a few still to go live.

Call of Duty: Mobile Multiplayer modes and Seasonal Challenges

The Free For All mode in multiplayer is yet to go live. The event will be held from May 13 to May 19. The event is not new and has been a part of the game before. As the name would suggest, the game mode has no teams and each player is on his/her own. Players will have battle it out to among themselves to reach a particular score limit to win.

From May 14 onwards, Call of Duty: Mobile will add new Seasonal Challenges. These new challenges will give players the opportunity to win new weapons and items like an SMG and Cordite. However, those who wish to immediately acquire these can spend money and buy them right there. On top of this, Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship Qualifiers will begin every weekend.

Battle Royale

As far as the Battle Royale Mode is concerned, the Gold Rush event seems to be the only new feature players can look forward to this month. However, the developers note that there are “more substantial changes on the way” and players can expect those in the next major update, which is said to come in June.

The developers have teased the expansion of the new map to include additional areas to the north of the map. The developers also showed the new areas for a few seconds in a teaser video for the new Gold Rush event. As per that video, the new area will feature locations such as Shipyard, Skitown, Black Market, Hospital and more.

To recall, Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 6 update landed earlier this month and introduced a bunch of new features including new weapons, skins and even the addition of the classic multiplayer map, Rust. You can read more about that update here.
