Apple AR Glasses could be coming in 2022, hybrid ARVR headset in 2023

Apple is actually looking at getting its Apple AR Glasses out by as early as 2022. As reported by Bloomberg, the Apple AR Glasses aren’t the only AR product Apple is planning on releasing. There’s another ultra-high-resolution VR/AR hybrid headset in the works for 2023 as well. The two devices are codenames N421 and N301. We’ve heard talks about Apple’s AR Glasses and it does look like they’re going to be a reality in 2022.

The more intriguing product in the line-up is the hybrid headset. According to the report, the headset is going to come with a high res display and cinematic speakers for a truly immersive experience. These headsets aim to ‘make it impossible for a user to differentiate the virtual world from the real one’. Even though Apple probably will not announce these products at WWDC 2020. We should be hearing more about them soon enough.

Talking about WWDC 2020, it looks like Apple may rename iOS to iPhoneOS at the event. Apple could also announce ARM-based in-house chips for Macs at WWDC 2020. The San Cupertino giant was also recently awarded a patent for taking group selfies while practising social distancing.

India to witness annular solar eclipse on June 21, 9:58AM IST: Here are the places from where you can see the ring of fire

A dramatic ‘ring of fire’ solar eclipse can be witnessed from a narrow band stretching from West Africa to the Arabian Peninsula, India and Southern China on June 21, 10:26AM IST.

Called an Annular solar eclipse, it occurs when the moon, passing between Earth and Sun, doesn’t completely obscure the sun, causing a thin, bright ring visible. Annular eclipses occur every year or two, but can only be seen from a narrow pathway across the planet.

The solar eclipse, quite interestingly, will happen on the longest day of the year on the summer solstice when the Earth’s pole will be titled the most towards the sun.

The ‘ring of fire’ event will take place at 10:26AM IST in India, with the blackout lasting 1 minute 22 seconds. ‘Maximum eclipse’ will occur, with the solar halo over the moon over Uttarakhand at 12:10PM IST. The moon, Earth and Sun will align perfectly for just 38 seconds.

Where to watch June 21 Annular Solar Eclipse in India?

The ‘ring of fire’ phenomenon will be visible for just about a minute, and can be seen from places like Suratgarh and Anupgarh in Rajastham, Sirsa, Ratia and Kurukshetra in Haryana, and Dehradun, Chamba, Chamoli and Joshimath in Uttarakhand.

In New Delhi, the partial eclipse can be seen from 10:20AM IST to 1:48PM IST, while in Kolkata, the time is from 10:46AM IST to 2:17PM IST. In Mumbai, the solar eclipse will be visible from 10:00AM IST to 1:27AM IST, 10:22AM IST to 1:41PM IST in Chennai and 10:13AM IST to 1:31AM IST in Bengaluru.

The eclipse will also be visible in countries like Congo, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Yemen, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.

This will be the last solar eclipse that can be seen from India for the next 28 months. The next eclipse will occur on October 25, 2022.
