Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch launched in India for Rs 13,999: Specifications, features and price

Amazfit Stratos 3 smartwatch for athletes and sports enthusiasts has launched in India. The Stratos 3 has a round display featuring over 80 sports modes and up to 70 hours continuous GPS tracking. Amazfit also recently announced the T-Rex and Bip S smartwatches in India priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 4,999 respectively.

The Stratos 3 comes with a 5ATM waterproof rating which means that it can withstand 50 meters water depth. Here’s a brief look at the specifications, features and pricing of the Amazfit Stratos 3.

Amazfit Stratos 3 comes in black colour and is priced at Rs 13,999 in India. It is available to purchase from Flipkart and Amazfit India website.

Amazfit Stratos 3 has a stainless steel build with ceramic bezels and silicone straps. It has a transflective MIP display that measures 1.34-inches and has a resolution of 320x320 pixels, topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. A transflective display has an additional layer of reflective coating that increases readability in outdoor use.

The Stratos 3 is powered by a dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 2GB of internal storage. It runs on Amazfit OS and is compatible with all devices running Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0 and above. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 and the Amazfit app lets you monitor your daily activities like running and swimming. There are up to 80 sports modes including running, trail running, hiking, triathlon and more to choose from.

It is capable of providing between 35-70 hours worth of continuous GPS tracking and has three preset modes for users to choose from. Accurate, Balanced and Power Saving modes allow you to control the GPS tracking time for efficient battery life.

This smartwatch can last for up to 14 days on a single charge and has two modes of operation-- smart mode and ultra-endurance mode for users to choose. The watch takes around 2.5 hours to charge from 0-100 per cent.

Amazfit Stratos 3 is equipped with Bio-Tracking optical sensor, acceleration sensor, geometric sensor and an air pressure sensor for accurate heart-rate monitoring and provides you with actionable data. The integrated GPS chip supports up to four global satellites, thereby ensuring tracking accuracy and speed.

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick price and specs leaked online

The Xiaomi Mi streaming stick has been making rounds on the internet and it looks like the device will be available in two variants. If information circulating the Internet is to be believed, then Xiaomi could launch a 1080p and a 4K variant of the Mi TV Stick. This means it will compete directly with the FHD and 4K variant of the Fire TV stick if it launches in India. The Mi TV Stick is said to run on Android TV and come with a remote control that looks just like the remote control we saw with the Mi Box 4K (review).

As we mentioned above, it looks like the Mi TV Stick will come in two variants - FHD and 4K. The information for the two devices comes from separate listings on Gearbest and AliExpress. Both the sticks will come with remote controls that look like the one found on the Mi Box 4K and will support Bluetooth and run on Android TV 9 Pie. The biggest difference between the two is the support for 4K on one device and 1080p on the other. The 1080p Mi Stick is also said to support 1GB of RAM while the 4K variant will come with 2GB RAM. The 1080p Mi TV Stick is powered by a 2.0GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU coupled with a Mali 450 GPU while the 4K variant has the Amlogic S509Y2 quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU with Mali G31-MP2 GPU. Both the sticks come with 8GB storage. Both the sticks support Dolby audio and DTS sound as well.  

We suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt as it isn’t the official specs from Xiaomi. 

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick: Price

There is no official word on pricing, but according to this Tweet, the Mi TV Stick 1080p variant will be priced at Rs 3,700 and the 4K variant will be priced at Rs 10,140. We don't think the pricing is accurate as the Mi Box 4K currently sells in India for Rs 3,499. To put things into perspective, the 1080p Fire TV stick is priced at Rs 3,199 and the 4K Fire TV Stick is priced at Rs 4,799. So if the Mi TV Stick comes to India, we think it will be competitively priced to take on the Fire TV Stick.

Potential Title for New Batman Game Leaked

Potential title for the long-awaited Batman game from WB Games Montreal has leaked online. Based on the leak, it looks like the speculated title could be Batman: Gotham Knights. The leak comes from Twitter user OwlGhouls, who tweeted a DomainTools screenshot showcasing a recently registered domain - GothamKnightsGame.com.

Earlier this week, DC Comics had announced their 24-hour long online virtual convention called DC FanDome, scheduled to take place on 22 August 2020. The event will be showcasing everything DC Comics related including movies, shows and games. In preparation for the upcoming event, a few days ago, Warner Bros. had registered a set of new domains through the MarkMonitor service. Out of those, there are two, that incline towards the upcoming Batman title - GothamKnightsFandome.com and GothamKnightsGame.com. Both of these domains have been registered this month and are scheduled to expire in June 2022.

Not to be confused with the comic book series or the Japanese animated movie of similar names, Batman: Gotham Knights looks like a suitable title for the game, considering the previously leaked details in regards to the characters involved. One of the leaks suggested that the Bat-Family - Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl would be available as playable characters in the game. And that this title would be a soft reboot intended to kickstart a new Batman franchise, which justifies them ditching the word “Arkham” from the title. As for the primary antagonist of the game, it looks like players would be facing off against the legendary Court of Owls, as foreshadowed by the Creative Director and the Associate Producer at WB Games Montreal themselves, a few years ago.

The studio, known for creating the 2013 Batman game, Batman: Arkham Origins, had been teasing the new title since September 2019 on their official Twitter account, with encrypted logos and a tagline – “Capture the Knight.” However, they have been silent about the game since January 2020. The company was supposed to showcase their new title at E3 this year. But, the event got cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which led to them resorting to an online digital medium, which we should be witnessing on 22 August at DC FanDome. Possible Suicide Squad Game to be Revealed Soon

A Suicide Squad game announcement from Rocksteady Studios might be looming right around the corner, based on a leak. The leak comes from Twitter user OwlGhouls, who tweeted a DomainTools screenshot showcasing a recently registered domain - suicidesquadgame.com.

Quite recently, DC Comics had announced that they will be doing a 24-hour long online digital virtual convention, DC FanDome, on 22 August 2020, which will be showcasing everything DC Comics related, including movies, shows and games. Out of those slate of domains, there are two, that indicate a likely Suicide Squad game reveal - SuicideSquadGame.com and SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague.com. Both of these domains have been registered this month within a one day gap and are scheduled to expire in June 2022.

We already know, that this year, WB Games Montreal is the one working on a new Batman game. However, back in 2019, some rumours emerged from ResetEra, where one of the insiders mentioned that Rocksteady Studios, creators of the Batman Arkham games, is currently working on a Suicide Squad game. The game was originally supposed to be undertaken by WB Games Montreal, before being cancelled, based on some leaked concept arts from Twitter user Tatlinsky. Based on some other rumours from insiders, it looks like the Suicide Squad game should be a co-op and GaaS (game as a service) game, similar to the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers game from Square Enix. As for the plot, judging from the second domain name, it looks like players would be facing off against the Justice League.

Rocksteady Studios have been dead silent on this matter and has not mentioned anything related to a Suicide Squad game in the last few years, except for hiring a bunch of new developers. Based on the leak, it looks like we will be getting a first look at the new title on 22 August at the DC FanDome event. Call of Duty: Mobile teases the addition of new Highrise multiplayer map

The guys over at Call of Duty: Mobile has teased yet another multiplayer map. Once again, the internet sleuths have figured out that the new map will be Highrise. Like most new multiplay maps added to the game, Highrise is also a classic map. The map was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and as you may have guessed from the name, features players battling it out on top of a building.

This isn’t the first such map that will be added to the game as the Cage map also features action on top of a highrise. However, unlike any other map, it was a one-of-a-kind map that was exclusive to the mobile version of the game. 

The mobile versions of the classic Call of Duty maps are usually very faithful to their original counterparts. So expect the new Highrise map to feature lots of close to medium range combat. This means players should ideally carry a shotgun or an SMG into battle, while an assault rifle will also work. Snipers can also work their magic, but they can expect limited options. 

The developers haven’t said when the new map will come, but they have stated that any teasers not a part of the season’s roadmap will not be added to the game in the current season at the very least. The developers note “if it is a big item, like a Multiplayer map, and it isn’t in our Roadmap, then it probably won’t be out this season.” So it’s pretty safe to say that players will have to wait a while before they can try out the new map for themselves. 

However, the Season 7 update for the game is still relatively fresh and it too packs a whole host of new content, especially when it comes to the Battle Royale mode of the game. You can check out the update in detail here.

Realme Narzo 10A new variant launched: Specifications, price and availability

Realme has launched a new variant of the Narzo 10A with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Narzo 10A was announced last month on May 11 alongside the Narzo 10 and went up on sale later in the month. However, at the time of launch, it was only available in a single variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage priced at Rs 8,499.

Realme Narzo 10A with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999 and is scheduled to go on sale from June 23. This new variant alongside the base variant will be up for grabs on Flipkart and Realme India Store. 

The Narzo 10A is also available in offline stores in some states including Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Launch offers include an extra 5 per cent discount for Axis bank cardholders and no-cost EMI options.

The entry-level Narzo 10A has a matte finish on the back and comes in two colours-- So Blue and So White with the brand logo dominating the rear panel. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution display with a waterdrop notch cutout for the front-facing camera. It is further topped by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. 

Realme Narzo 10A is powered by MediaTek Helio G70 chipset with an octa-core processor and Mali-G52 graphics. This is paired with upto 4GB RAM and 64GB storage along with a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 256GB. It runs on Realme UI which is based on Android 10.

The phone has a triple camera setup on the back that consists of a primary 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture alongside two 2MP cameras for macro and depth sensing. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera with features like AI Beautification and more. 

The Narzo 10A comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging out-of-the-box.

Googles AirDrop rival could work with Windows, Macs, Linux and ChromeOS in addition to Android

Google is working on an AirDrop rival called Nearby Share which would allow devices to share docs, files, images and more among each other. The feature is hinted to debut with Android 11 and according to a new report, Nearby Share will be a lot more inclusive than AirDrop.

A 9to5Google report claims that Nearby Share will support Android, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS and Macs in addition to Android. This is in contrast to AirDrop which only supports iOS, iPadOS and macOS for now.

The feature was found in the ChromeOS Settings app. It seems like a work-in-progress till now and the only way to enable it is via the chrome://flags feature. The description of the feature also confirms Nearby Share. It reads “Enables Nearby Sharing for sharing content between devices — Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS”.

Presently, the feature doesn’t do anything right now which indicates there’s still work left to do for Google.

Nearby Share was first spotted on Android 11 in one of the developer versions. Going by the release notes, the feature may first debut on the Pixel 4 smartphones when Android 11 is finally announced. The developer preview launched in March successfully allowed the transfer of files between two Pixel 4 devices.
