The multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Mobile is getting a new map called Highrise. The new map was initially teased online, but internet sleuths managed to successfully decode the teasers and figure it out. As with most new multiplay maps added to the game, Highrise is also a classic map. The map was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and as you may have guessed from the name, features players battling it out on top of a building.

The new Juggernaut game mode sees five players team up to take on a single player wearing the XS1 Goliath mech suit. Killing the Juggernaught gives players the most points while also letting them take up the role of the Juggernaut. Players can find armament boxes scattered around the map. These can feature operator skills of buffs that can help take down the juggernaut. The first player to reach the target score wins.

Activision hasn’t yet confirmed any other additions to the game. However, those playing the beta have leaked out information about the Season 8 update. This includes a Reddit user that posted the full patch notes. As per the post, the update will also offer new looks for Tank Dempsey, Reaper, Krueger and Prophet. New epic weapons include the AK-117 Kit-Bag and the DR-H Chained. The latter is a new assault rifle that will also be available in a base version.

Other new additions include new Epic ‘Living Rust’ themed weapons and camo for the Tank. There is also a new Perk called Shrapnel that gives players an extra tactical grenade and delays enemy health regeneration when dishing out explosive damage.

It also notes that there is a new area called the safehouse located under the Black Market in Battle Royale mode. This is most likely the same location that players had to glitch into.

The new update is scheduled to roll out from July 10 onwards and should be made available to all in a staggered fashion.

Lenovo Legion gaming phone will launch hours before the Asus ROG Phone III

On the heels of Qualcomm announcing the Snapdragon 965 Plus SoC, Asus and Lenovo have announced that they will showcase their gaming smartphones powered by the new SoC on the same day - July 22. While Asus sent out an email to us confirming July 22 8:15 PM to be the time they will unveil the ROG Phone III, Lenovo took to Weibo to announce that they will showcase their gaming phone on the same day, a few hours before Asus. With the announcement of these two smartphones' reveal date, the gaming smartphone war is heating up just like the ongoing war between the Xbox Series X and the PS5.

Speaking of the Lenovo Legion gaming phone, it looks to have an interesting design. The smartphone will have a popup camera, and while the concept of a pop-up camera isn’t new, the position of the front camera on the Lenovo legion smartphone is. The popup camera is mounted on the side which will make it the ideal position when the smartphone is held in landscape mode. This could be great for those looking to use the front camera when streaming games from their smartphone.

The position of the rear camera is also interesting. Instead of the standard top left corner, the camera on the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is in the centre. It looks like Lenovo will be catering to users who shoot landscapes more than portraits. Further, the camera module can be better used for AR games, where the camera position won’t change going from landscape to portrait. But here too, there’s a chance your hands might end up covering the lens, or worse, smudging it.

Lenovo Legion gaming phone will launch hours before the Asus ROG Phone III

Either way, we can expect the Lenovo Legion gaming phone to give the Asus ROG Phone III a run for its money in terms of specifications and features. Considering both are targeting the same audience, it will be great to see the distinguishing features considering most of the hardware under the hood will be homogenous. You can read more about the Lenovo Legion Gaming smartphone here.

Xiaomi Mi TV stick could cost as much as a Chromecast: Report

The Xiaomi Mi TV stick is probably the company’s worst kept secret. The device and its variants and specifications have been making the rounds of the internet for quite some time. If new information circulating the internet is to be believed, then the Xiaomi Mi TV stick will be priced at Euro 40 for the 1080p variant which translates to roughly Rs 3500.

In India, the third-generation Chromecast is priced at Rs 3499 so the leaked price seems to be on point. However, there is also the Fire TV stick which is a dominant streaming device in India. The 1080p fire TV stick is priced at Rs 3,999 and the 4K variant is priced at Rs 5,999. If leaked specs are to be believed, then the Mi TV Stick will come in a 1080p and a 4K variant.

Looks like the Mi TV Stick will cost 39,99€ in Europe, just like the base Fire TV Stick (excluding promotion). Not a bad price for a 1080p device.#AndroidTVhttps://t.co/dEMseieJMX

— Android TV Guide (@androidtv_rumor) July 8, 2020 Xiaomi Mi TV Stick Specifications

As we mentioned above, it looks like the Mi TV Stick will come in two variants - FHD and 4K. Both the sticks are expected to come with remote controls that look like the one found on the Mi Box 4K and will support Bluetooth and run on Android TV 9 Pie. The biggest difference between the two is the support for 4K on one device and 1080p on the other.

The 1080p Mi Stick is also said to support 1GB of RAM while the 4K variant will come with 2GB RAM. The 1080p Mi TV Stick is powered by a 2.0GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU coupled with a Mali 450 GPU while the 4K variant has the Amlogic S509Y2 quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU with Mali G31-MP2 GPU. Both the sticks come with 8GB storage. Both the sticks support Dolby audio and DTS sound as well.

In other streaming device news, it looks like Google is getting ready to launch the next-generation Chromecast codenamed Sabrina running Android TV and comes with remote control. You can read everything we know about Sabrina here. Xiaomi also launched its 4K Android streaming box, the Mi Box 4K in India recently. You can check out our review of the Mi Box 4K here.

Realme C11 to launch in India on July 14: Specifications, features and expected price

The Realme C11 is set to launch on Tuesday, July 14, the company said in a press invite circulated on Thursday. The phone is the successor the Realme C3 and was unveiled last week in Malaysia. The key features of the budget smartphone include a 5,000mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup. It also rocks a new design from Realme.

Realme C11 launching in India on July 14

The Realme C11 will be unveiled in a social media event on July 14 at 1 PM IST. You can stream the event on any of Realme’s social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Realme C11 hardware specs and features

The Realme C11 rocks the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC under the hood, which is an octa-core chipset meant for gaming on budget smartphones. The phone also sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio, made possible by the presence of a waterdrop notch. The processor is coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on RealmeUI based on Android 10.

There’s a dual-camera setup that includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 lens and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 lens for portrait shots. On the front is a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 lens.

The Realme C11 also sports a large 5,000mAh battery with a microUSB port and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

Realme C11 expected price in India

As we said before, the Realme C11 recently went on sale in Malaysia, which should give us a ball-park idea of what the price will be in India. The phone is sold in Malaysia in the single 2GB+32GB variant which is priced at MYR 429 (roughly Rs 7,500). The converted is slightly higher than the Rs 6,999 price tag of the Realme C3, but it’s likely the new import duties, GST rate hike and the Dollar-rupee conversion rate will leave Realme no choice but to launch the C11 at a higher price.

In other Realme news, the Realme 6s could launch in India as Realme 6i as it was revealed in a leaked poster. You can read more about that here.

Sonys wearable air conditioner helps you beat the heat on the go

It was about a year ago that we first saw the Sony Reon Pocket - a portable air conditioner. The gadget is smaller and lighter than a smartphone and fits in an undershirt just below the wearer's neck. It claims to cool the body by about 13 degrees Celsius when compared to the temperature of the surroundings. It also has the ability to provide the user with heat during winters by raising the temperature by about 8 degrees Celsius.

The device can be controlled by a smartphone app compatible with both iOS and Android. The Sony Reon Pocket charges via USB-C and can take about 2 hours to charge for 90 minutes of use. It is light, weighing in at about 85g. The undershirt that firs the portable air conditioner is available in three sizes-small, medium and large.

Sony Reon Pocket Portable AC Price and Availability

The Sony Reon Pocket portable air conditioner is available in Japan only as of now and is priced at 13,000 yen (Rs 9,100 approx. directly converted). The undershirt is priced at 1800 yen (Rs 1260 approx. directly converted). There is no information on a global release of the product.

We first learned about the Sony Reon Pocket last year when it was a crowdfunded device. Such a device is ideal for those that are out and about like sales representatives, delivery agents and more who are constantly on the move. It looks like the device will also be great for those that commute to work every day without the luxury of travelling in an AC car.

During the crowdfunding, Sony showed off two variants - the Reon Pocket Standard and Reon Pocket Lite. The Reon Pocket Lite was meant to be the cheaper variant and only works with manual controls whereas the Reon Pocket Standard works with a smartphone. The Reon Pocket Standard was said to have an auto mode as well.
