16-year-old boy dies after playing PUBG Mobile for days while skipping food, water: Report
It seems like another young life has been lost due to video game addiction. According to a report by The Hindu, a 16-year-old boy from Andhra Pradesh has died after being addicted to PUBG Mobile. According to the report, the boy was playing the game continuously for many days and did not take any food or water. The boy is said to be a native of Jujjulakunta village in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district.
The boy was said to be staying at home due to the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and was playing PUBG Mobile for multiple days. He reportedly fell sick a few days ago and was suffering from severe dehydration. His family members rushed him to a private hospital in the town of Eluru. While he tested negative for COVID-19, the boy suffered from Diarrhoea and died while undergoing treatment.
16-year-old boy dies after playing PUBG Mobile for daysThis is the latest incident in a long line of tragic deaths that have been linked to the popular mobile game. Earlier this year, it was reported that a 25-year-old man in Maharashtra succumbed to a stroke after getting over excited when playing PUBG Mobile. The doctor in charge of the autopsy said, “It seems the stroke occurred because the victim was over-excited while playing online game PUBG. The post-mortem report has stated intra cerebral bleeding with brain tissue necrosis as the cause of death”.
Apparently death isn’t the only consequence of PUBG Mobile. A few months ago. A 17-year-old allegedly spent Rs 16 Lakh in-app purchases on PUBG Mobile. The boy reportedly spent on purchasing virtual credits to get in-app items, including weapon skins, exclusive passes for tournaments, and virtual credits over a month's duration.

Apple iPhone 12 allegedly delayed to October
The last few years have seen apple launch the iPhone in September, like clockwork. However, nothing about 2020 is normal and that’s going to be the case even with the iPhone launch. Apple had already confirmed a few weeks ago that the iPhone 12 will launch outside its normal window, but now, we have prominent Apple leakster Jon Prosser shedding some light on the matter. According to Prosser, the iPhone 12 would most likely now launch in October.
Apple iPhone 12 allegedly delayed to OctoberHowever, Prosser has also shared that Apple will still host a September event. While the iPhone won't be launched in September, Prosser claims that Apple will most likely announce Apple Watch Series 6 and a new iPad at the event. The iPhone 12 series, it seems, will see a staggered release, something that’s been rumoured for a while. The reason behind this continues to be the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic. Reports of potential delays started circling months ago, when Ming-Chi Kuo released an investor note stating that the Pro models of the iPhone 12 might be delayed due to the 5G radio testing having abruptly stopped. Since Apple was allegedly not able to test and validate the 5G radios in the set time frame, that would have caused a delay in the production. Other recent reports also claimed that Genius Electronic Optical was facing quality issues with the camera lenses for the upcoming iPhone, however, Kuo stated that this was not going to cause any delays in shipment.
This year, Apple is expected to launch four variants in the iPhone 12 series, two being the Pro models and 2 being the non-Pro models. The phones are expected to be powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, with two of the phones also allegedly sporting ProMotion 120Hz displays. The iPhone 12 series is expected to have two of the iPhones with a display size of 6.1 inches, while the largest of the lot will be 6.7-inches and the smallest sporting a 5.4-inch display. Rumours suggest there will be a lot more features in the upcoming series, especially photography-entered.

Garena Free Fire Roadmap for August: Anniversary Time Tunnel Mission, login events and more
Garena Free Fire’s roadmap for the month of August is out and as one would expect, they have a bunch of events planned out for the duration of the month. As this month celebrates the third anniversary of Free Fire, there are a bunch of anniversary themed events that give players a chance to earn rewards like outfits and weapon skins and even play a few rounds of Clash Squad on the newest iteration of the Bermuda map. Here’s a quick look at some notable events in store for players.
Anniversary Time Tunnel Mission (August 13 to August 30)This event tasks players with collecting ‘time tokens’ which can be obtained by sending their characters on assignments. In case a player does not have characters, Garena will be sending players 7-day character trial cards in order to help them in collecting the time tokens. In case players want to keep the characters. The developers promise a solution to let them keep the character for free but details of these ‘solutions’ are not yet known. However, one way that has been confirmed is via the Anniversary 7 Days Login Event, which we have talked about below.
Anniversary 1 Diamond Pet Top Up (August 13 to August 30)This event gives players the chance to get the Mr. Waggor pet for one Diamond. Mr. Waggor is a pet that is aimed at those who love using Gloo Walls. The pet gives players the ‘Smooth Gloo’ ability that gives the player a Gloo Grenade when they have less than one or two grenades with them.
Clash Squad: Bermuda Remastered (August 13 to August 30)Bermuda is an iconic map in Free Fire and now it’s getting a much needed update. The new and remastered map will be available in Clash Squad matches. Giving them the opportunity to try it out.
Anniversary 7 Days Login Event (August 16 to August 30)This event is connected to the Anniversary Time Tunnel Mission wherein it gives players the chance to keep their 7-day trial character permanently. It’s pretty simple to do as well as all players have to do is login for 7 days. Besides the new character, players will also unlock other rewards like EP badges and Royales vouchers.
Anniversary Booyah Challenge (August 17 to August 22)This event sees players win rewards for getting Booyahs in games. Each time they win, players will get magic cube fragments.
