PUBG Mobile unveils virtual band called Power4
It seems like the banning of PUBG Mobile in India hasn’t put a dent in the game’s plans. In fact, the developers are going full steam ahead as though nothing happened. According to a tweet put out by PUBG Mobile, the game now has its own virtual band called the Power4. In fact, the band has already released a single called ‘Nothing’s Getting In Our Way.” The single can now be heard in-game.
The first-ever PUBG MOBILE virtual band has finally arrived! The @Power4Band first single, "Nothing's Getting In Our Way", is now available to hear in-game! Not only that, all four of their outfits are officially up for grabs now! https://t.co/XoHhPLYT1Q pic.twitter.com/DAm0ODy66u
— PUBG MOBILE (@PUBGMOBILE) October 21, 2020
The virtual band features the Flame Lord as the vocalist, Wraith Lord on bass, Grave Lord playing the guitar and Spike Demon as the drummer. The outfits for all four of the band members will be available to players.
Of course, that’s not the only thing that PUBG Mobile developers have in store for players. The Beta version of PUBG Mobile has received a new mode called ‘Metro Royale Mode’. The new mode is a part of a partnership between PUBG Mobile and Metro Exodus. The new mode sees the additional survival-based gameplay elements to the game. There is also a new map that features a number of underground sections with pushcarts that players can use to get around. It also lets players start the game with a loadout. But the weapons and attachments need to be scavenged and returned to the player’s base in order to be used again.
Of course, all this is kind of moot for most Indian players as the game is still banned in the country. However, some players are still managing to play the game by circumventing the ban. However, for its part, it seems like PUBG Mobile is also finding and banning such players. You can know more about the current state of PUBG Mobile in India, click here.

You will also need an Xbox One Bluetooth controller. Most importantly, you will need 5GHz Wi-Fi or mobile data connection with 10 Mbps down. You can follow the step by step guide on the app to enable the feature. Reliance Jio and Qualcomm test indigenous 5G network, achieves speed of 1Gbps
With Qualcomm Ventures investing Rs 730 crore in Jio Platforms by Reliance, it was pretty much known that one of India’s most popular network will be using Qualcomm infrastructure to enable 5G connectivity in India in the next few years. Now we have some news about how that partnership is going. At the keynote address of Qualcomm’s annual 5G Summit, Reliance Jio Infocomm president Matthew Oomen said Jio has developed an indigenous 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and Qualcomm will be fully supporting the company with the infrastructure required.
This comes after Mukesh Ambani announced during the Reliance AGM earlier this year, that Jio has designed and developed a complete 5G solution from scratch which will be using 100 percent homegrown technologies and solutions.
Jio announced a fully indigenous 5G Radio Access NetworkAlong with recently acquired firm Radisys Corporation, the company has expanded efforts to build an open and interoperable interface architecture for 5G connection with a virtualised RAN, which Jio hopes will fast track the development and roll-out of 5G network infrastructure in India. Jio and Qualcomm also announced that they achieved a 1 Gbps speed on Jio’s 5G NR solution which leverages Qualcomm’s 5G RAN platforms.
“We are excited about working with Qualcomm Technologies in developing new generation cloud native 5G RAN technology that is truly open and software defined. The development of secure RAN solutions with Qualcomm Technologies combined with Jio Platforms and scale provides the ideal combination for local manufacturing and for accelerating the realization of Atmanirbhar Bharat for an inclusive 5G nation,” Matthew Oomen, President, Reliance Jio Infocomm said in a statement.
The important part about this is the fact that Jio has created an open standard for 5G RAN technology, and this will be augmented by local manufacturing to scale up the infrastructure to hit the Jio scale and get it ready for launch as and when the 5G auctions happen in India.
Durga Malladi, Senior Vice President and General Manager, 4G/5G at Qualcomm said, “Qualcomm Technologies aims to deliver cutting-edge technology for virtualized, flexible and interoperable 5G infrastructure across the globe. We recently achieved over a 1 Gbps milestone on the Reliance Jio 5G NR product, leveraging our Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms, and we look forward to expanding our efforts with Reliance Jio to enable flexible and scalable 5G RAN deployments. Ecosystem collaborations like this play a critical role in allowing operators and industry verticals to quickly and easily add 5G network coverage and capacity where and when it is needed most.”
Reliance Jio has been readying itself for the next generation of mobile networking. At its AGM this year, Reliance announced a bunch of announcements that include partnerships with Google to develop affordable 4G and 5G smartphones, the first wave of which is expected to be priced around Rs 5,000, according to a story broken a few days back.

Apple Watch ECG feature saves a 61-year olds life in India
Apple Watch Series 5’s ECG feature has reportedly saved a 61-year old’s life in a first such reported case in India. According to various reports circulating online, R.Rajhans, a resident of Indore wasn’t feeling well back in March, earlier this year, and decided to check his ECG readings on an Apple Watch Series 5 gifted to him by his son.
The ECG feature on his Apple Watch detected irregular heartbeats and further diagnosis by doctors revealed that Rajhans had a low EF (ejection fraction) that warranted a heart surgery. "Since Apple Watch allows the ECG function, one can check it on a more regular basis. Twice or thrice, in the middle of the night, my father was getting arrhythmia signals or irregular heartbeats. It's a critical indicator,” said his son Siddharth, in a report by IANS published by News18.
In an email exchange, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “Siddharth, thank you for sharing this. I am happy to note that your father received medical attention in time and I hope he's feeling better now. Our team will connect with you.”
The Apple Watch Series 4 and above received ECG app back in September 2019 that helps the wearer monitor their heart rhythm for AFib (atrial fibrillation) or irregular heartbeats. Days within the launch of this feature, the ECG feature reportedly saved a life and there have been several reports of the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 continue to gain appreciation from across the globe for its ECG and fall detection features.
In September 2020, Apple announced the Watch Series 6 that now features a blood-oxygen SpO2 sensor that lets users measure their oxygen saturation levels just by a tap on the watch. A drop in oxygen saturation levels has been witnessed in COVID-19 patients as well, which has led to many people keeping a track of their SpO2 levels through an oximeter. With the Apple Watch Series 6, there is a dedicated app that measures SpO2 levels between 70-100 per cent and provides actionable insights to the users in the health app.
