Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on December 10 in India: Everything you need to know

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of the year and the launch of the game is mere days away. In anticipation of the upcoming game, we thought we’d break down some common questions you may have about Cyberpunk 2077, where to play it, how to play it and how much the game will cost you. Here’s hoping you have taken some time off work, as the game is expected to be very long.

What platforms is Cyberpunk 2077 releasing on?

Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on 9 platforms at launch. They are PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Stadia and PC. While Stadia and the PS5 aren't officially in India, gamers who have their hands on the PS5 will be able to play the game.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 optimized for the PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S?

The game will be playable on the new console generation, but full optimized versions will launch later. Developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will work on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility. If you own a physical copy of the game, you will be eligible for a physical upgrade of the game on the PS5 Disc edition and Series X only. However, if you own the game digitally, then you will get the upgrade on whichever next-gen console you have. There is no confirmed date for when the next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will be available.

How much will the game cost? And will the next-gen upgrade be free?

Yes, the next-gen upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 will be free. However, you will have to log into your PSN or Xbox Live account, the same one with which you purchased the game. For the physical edition of the game, you will need to insert the disc in the console.

As for the price, Cyberpunk 2077 is priced at Rs 3,999 for a physical copy on PS4 and Xbox One. Downloaded digitally from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, you can get the game for Rs 3,499. The game is priced at Rs 2,999 on Steam.

When will the game be playable in India?

The official release date for Cyberpunk 2077 is December 10 in India. While one would think the game will be playable at midnight itself, you may want to check out this calendar which highlights when the game will be playable across the globe.

How many versions of the game are there?

Unlike many games that come in 2 to 4 versions offering different in-game content and DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 is available in 2 versions only. One is the standard version which has the price tag mentioned above. The other is a collector's edition priced at Rs 24,999. The collector’s edition comes with the following features.

Collector’s Edition box

 Digital goodies included:

The exact completion time isn't known for the game, but a developer of the game spent 175 hours in Night City and still hasn’t seen the credits roll. You can learn more about it here.

Is there a day 1 patch for the game to download?

While there is a lot of information circulating the internet about a day 1 patch, know that the game is roughly 70GB overall on the consoles and PC.

What are the PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077?

Contrary to popular belief, Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t need a high-end rig to be playable. At the entry-level, you need an Intel Core i5 3570K CPU, 8GB RAM, a GTX 780 or Radeon RX 470 GPU. This will let you play the game at 1080p low setting. You can check out the various resolutions and configuration recommendations for Cyberpunk 2077 here.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Game Pass?

Sadly, no. While CD Projekt Red’s last game, the Witcher 3 is there on Game Pass, Cyberpunk 2077 is not.

Japans Hayabusa2 spacecraft returns to Earth with asteroid sample after 6 long years

The next step in space exploration has always been a difficult proposition. Space is literally the most hostile environment out there and building spaceships that can traverse the cold darkness of space is an incredibly difficult task. Well, leave it up to the Japanese to figure that problem out as the Hayabusa2 space probe retired to Earth after a long 6-year journey. The space probe was tasked with retrieving samples of an asteroid called Ryugu and finally made completed its arduous journey back home.

We observed the capsule re-entry from around Coober Pedy, with the assistance of Curtin Observatory. The observation was successful & here is our image!https://t.co/KTdV0G9moU Credit: Curtin University, Kouchi University of Technology, Nihon University, Ibaraki University, JAXA pic.twitter.com/qTFW8I8UD9

The mission was led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration AGnecy (JAXA) with the purpose of finding out more about the origins of the solar system and even the origin of water. It’s a heavy task for humanity but it looks like we will definitely get more answers to these all-encompassing questions soon enough. The Hayabusa2 was launched from the Tanegashima Space Centre in 2014 and landed on Ryugu after four years of travelling through the harshest environment known to man. The spacecraft then made its way back to Earth in 2019 after collecting the relevant samples from the asteroid.

Capsule collection! The helicopter team immediately flew to the location identified by the DFS team. They searched for the fallen capsule by using radio waves and maps. Thank you very much! (Collection Team M)#Hayabusa2#はやぶさ2#AsteroidExplorerHayabusa2 #HAYA2Report pic.twitter.com/KSyEbnU3Yd

The Hayabusa2 landed in Australia around the Woomera area, 450kms north of Adelaide. The Hayabusa team tweeted out images of the retrieval of the asteroid sample with even Elon Musk chiming in. As fas as scientific research goes, this is a huge step forward. Asteroid are believed to be some of the oldest formations in the universe and unlocking its secrets could give us answers to questions that we may not have even asked.

This truly is a huge step forward for space exploration as even India is taking steps to prepare for the eventual future in space with projects like the Chandraayaan missions.

HMD Global is reportedly planning a mid-December launch for Nokia 34 in India

HMD Global's Nokia 2.4 recently went on sale in India. Soon after releasing the budget smartphones, the company is now reportedly planning to launch Nokia 3.4 in the country by mid-December.

According to a report from NokiaPowerUser, HMD Global will release the Nokia 3.4 in India to further expand its affordable smartphone portfolio. The Nokia 2.4 is priced at Rs 10,399 and competes against the likes of Redmi 9 Prime, Realme 7 and the newly launched Micromax In Note 1. It makes it evident that the 3.4 will be priced above Rs 10,000 for the base variant. It is said to come in multiple storage variants, with the base model with 3GB RAM, expected to retail for around Rs 12,000. The company might put the phone up for pre-orders by the end of December.

What to expect from Nokia 3.4?

The Nokia 3.4 sits between 2.4 and 5.3, which were launched globally earlier this year. It has a 6.3-inch HD+display with a punch-hole cutout for the 8MP front camera. The rear cameras on the Nokia 3.4 consist of a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth camera.

The smartphone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chip and is paired with up to 4GB RAM as well as 64GB storage. The phone launched with Android 10, but Nokia says it is ready for Android 11 which should also be a part of the Android One program.

The phone uses a 4000mAh battery, and it supports up to 10W of fast charging.

As of now, the company has not revealed any official launch plans for the Nokia 3.4. While NokiaPowerUser has been on point with its leaks in the past, we would still recommend you to take this with a grain of salt.

Call of Duty: Mobile to get Raid-Holiday Map in Season 13 update

Call of Duty: Mobile has announced that it will be bringing back the Christmas-themed version of its popular Raid map. Called Raid-Holiday, the new map gets a snowy-makeover complete with Christmas-themed additions like lights, presents, snowmen and more. It should be noted that Call of Duty: Mobile introduced the map last year as a seasonal addition to the map, similar to the Halloween-themed version of the Standoff that the developers release around October.

No worries, the snow will be shoveled and plowed before you arrive ⁣ Coming soon to #CODMobile! pic.twitter.com/hQpkuHLEJZ

— Call of Duty: Mobile (@PlayCODMobile) December 5, 2020

This will not be the only winter-themed addition to Call of Duty: Mobile in Season 13. A few weeks back, the developers teased the addition of a new map and eagle-eyed players managed to deduce that it would be the russian version of the classic Nuketown map. This version of the map was introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and features pretty much the same layout as the classic version of the map. However, the new version of the map features a snowy layout along Russian-style buildings and locomotives. It is not yet known if this will temporarily replace the current version of Nuketown or will be available for selection separately.

The season 13 update for Call of Duty: Mobile should be released within a few weeks. Details of the new update have not yet been confirmed, but one can expect new weapons, skins, characters and more.

The current Season 12 ‘Going Dark’ update added a new map to multiplayer in the form of Hackney Yard. However, one of the most notable additions was the introduction of a new Night Mode to the game play. But we do not know if the mode will be available after the end of the season.

You might be able to Play FAU-G as soon as December 2020: Report

The release of PUBG Mobile's upcoming Indian rival FAU-G is reportedly set for December 2020. The made in India multiplayer game recently went live for pre-registration, and its maker nCore Games claim that it saw a record 1 million pre-registrations within 24 hours.

As per a report by InsideSport, sources close to nCore Games have said that FAU-G could be launched this month. However, the developers of the game are yet to announce an official release date fo the game. The report cites the source to reveal that "the developers are trying their utmost to catch the December timeline for the launch and if all goes well the launch of FAUG before the 2021 deadline is looking possible now."

The makers of the game earlier said that it would be available for download by November, which didn't happen. As of now, we do not know when the game will be ready for download unless the recent report turns out to be true. However, the game has is listed on Google Play, and pre-registrations have kicked off, which indirectly points towards its release.

Everything we know about FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards)

The developers have not shared much about the gameplay or how the game will be, but we've joined dots to set our expectations from what's available from the official source. For starters, we got a look at what appears to be the main menu of the game, which suggests that it will feature two in-game currencies. Most likely one will be a free currency, while the other will be a premium currency that can be bought in exchange for real money. There is also an in-game store that should allow players to make in-game purchases.

Also, n-Core Games dropped the first teaser for FAU-G a few weeks back. While it doesn't reveal a lot about the actual gameplay, it does suggest a focus on the Indo-China clashes at the Galwan Valley. While most battle royale games are synonymous to guns and grenades, FAU-G teaser focuses on melee-based combat with soldiers resorting to clubs and hand-to-hand combat. There seems to be a focus on team-based action as we see five soldiers standing together towards the end of the teaser.
