Call of Duty: Mobiles Fight for Humanity event is now live
Call of Duty: Mobile’s new ‘Fight For Humanity’ event is now live for players. The new event works in a manner pretty similar to the ‘Knights Divided’ event that was held a few months back. In the Fight for Humanity will task players with choosing a side. Players on each side will get access to certain rewards that they can earn. Further, once players pick a side, they will not be able to switch sides.
Call of Duty: Mobile Fight for Humanity: FormatThey then will have to complete tasks and challenges in order to gain points for their team. Every day, a new territory will be up for grabs and with it there will be a corresponding task or challenge. At the end of each day, the team with the most points gets that particular territory. At the end of the event, the team with the most territories wong and get an epic item.
Call of Duty: Mobile Fight for Humanity: RewardsAs with the Knight Divided event, the rewards players can earn are the same for teams. The only difference is the skin/look of the rewards. Both teams stand to win a unique Cordite, a UAV charm and the Russian Merc character. Other rewards include skins for the J358 pistol, ASM10 assault rifle, and HRa3 assault rifle. The winning team will receive the Override skin for the ATV found in Battle Royale.
Besides this, Call of Duty: Mobile also released a new tactical grenade with the Season 1 ‘New Order’ update. The new Gas Grenade releases a cloud of tear gas that blurs vision and causes the player character to cough violently. In order to get the grenade, players will have to complete the Deadly Mist seasonal challenge. You can learn more about that here.
Other major new additions in the Season 1 update includes two new weapons and a new multiplayer map. You can learn more about the new FR. 556 and SKS weapons here. Our strategy guide for the new Reclaim map is available here.

Xiaomis new concept phone has a waterfall display on four sides
Xiaomi has announced a new concept smartphone featuring a Waterfall display that curves along the four edges. The company has designed an 88-degree hyper quad-curved screen that wraps around the phone allowing the UI to flow seamlessly across the edges. Moreover, this yet-unnamed concept smartphone has a unibody design that means it does not have any ports or buttons.
“Pushing the limits of the classic smartphone form factor, Xiaomi engineers tried to make the smartphone as simple as possible and bring the “just a screen” form factor a step closer to life,” the company says in a blog post.
The company has explained how it faced the biggest challenge in producing the 88-degree hyper quad-curved screen. Xiaomi developed its own glass processing equipment to bend the glass under 800-degrees Celsius and pressure and then used over 14 different polishing tools and procedures to make the waterfall screen work seamlessly. The glass was then stacked with a flexible display through a 3D bonding process.
Xiaomi’s futuristic phone does not have any buttons or ports on its body, giving way to a port-less unibody design phone. Xiaomi developed over 46 patents to ensure that physical ports and buttons are replaced with “more elegant alternatives”.
This concept smartphone showcased by Xiaomi features ultra-thin piezoelectric ceramics, Flexible film display acoustic technology, third-generation in-display cameras, wireless charging support, eSIM, pressure-sensitive touch sensors and more. Xiaomi has not completely revealed the features of its concept smartphone yet, however, it’s an interesting take on the future of smartphones. Being a concept phone, Xiaomi is unlikely to manufacture it commercially anytime soon.

Oppo F19 series could launch in March in India
The Oppo F19 and Oppo F19 Pro could launch as soon as March in India, according to the latest report. The F19 series will succeed the F17 and F17 Pro that were both launched in September 2020 in India. The Oppo F19 series has been rumoured to launch from quite some time now. Previous leaks have hinted at the presence of a 10x optical zoom camera but that certainly didn’t happen.
That said, a new report by 91Mobiles that cites industry sources says that Oppo is planning to launch the F19 and F19 Pro in India in March. Moreover, the report goes on to state that Oppo could start teasing the launch of the F19 series later this month. The company also seems to be working on the F21 series which could be announced later this year.
There is not much known about the Oppo F19 series except that it will succeed the F17 series when it launches officially. We will be keeping an eye out for any development regarding the launch of the F19 series in India.
Oppo F17 series specificationsThe Oppo F17 series was launched last year with a thin and light profile and quad cameras on the back. The F17 series is aimed at the sub-Rs 20,000 and under Rs 25,000 price segment and we expect the F19 series to follow suit.
Oppo F17 Pro features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that uses an AMOLED panel. The screen has a dual punch-hole cutout for the front-facing cameras and is topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection against regular drops.
It is powered by MediaTek Helio P95 processor with an octa-core CPU and PowerVR GPU. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and the phone runs on ColorOS 7.2 which is based on Android 10.
The F17 Pro has quad-cameras on the back that consists of a primary 48MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field-of-view, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP primary selfie camera followed by a 2MP depth sensor.
It is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. Oppo claims that the phone can go from 0-100% in 53 minutes courtesy of VOOC 4.0.
Meanwhile, the F17 features 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch cutout for the selfie camera. This gives the screen a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The F17 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 610 GPU. This is paired with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options to choose from.
The phone comes with a quad-camera setup that consists of a primary 16MP camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field-of-view, a 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout.

Apple now adds support for DualSense and Xbox Series X controller in latest iOS 145 beta update
One of the more unlikely but welcome changes to the new iOS 14.5 beta update is the support for the DualSense and Xbox Series X controllers. Even though Apple is not known for its gaming prowess, this is a great addition to its ecosystem. iOS or iPadOS do not currently support either controller. The latest update adds support for both controllers. Apple had said that it was planning on integrating next-gen controller support back in November.
PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controller support now available on iOS 14.5 beta updateApple is no stranger to this sort of move. The company had earlier worked with Microsoft to include support for the Xbox Elite 2 controller. The Xbox Adaptive Controller has also been added to iOS 14 this year. The DualSense has been the controller of the generation though. Even Steam has added support for the controller as well. So, if you like gaming on a Mac, this should be a godsend. For PC gamers, as mentioned above, you can now play your games on Steam using a DualSense controller. Obviously, the Xbox Series X controller is also compatible with most setups.
The PS5 launched in India on February 2 and gamers in India are proudly showing off their consoles on social media. If you’re one of the unlucky few that could not grab the console, we’ve got a guide to the PS5 restock, right here. If you’ve already bought the console, here are 5 things you should do when you turn on the console.

HIFIMAN BW200
Priced at Rs 1,999 but available for Rs 1,490 on other e-commerce platforms, the HIFIMAN BW200 is a relatively well-built pair of headphones that lacks finesse in the sound quality, which is slightly surprising since HIFIMAN is known for its well-balanced sound signature.
HIFIMAN is a relatively well-known brand in the audiophile circles due to stellar products such as the HIFIMAN Sundara and the exorbitantly-priced HIFIMAN Shangri-La. We even tested the HIFIMAN TWS600, a mid-range true wireless in-ear headphone, that impressed us with its sonic accuracy. In this review, we are testing the company’s new offering, the HIFIMAN BW200, which is a budget wireless earphone. Let’s see if it manages to impress.
Build and comfortThe HIFIMAN BW200 sports a simple wireless in-ear headphone design although it doesn’t have a hard plastic neckband, as seen on many wireless earphones these days. Instead, there’s a flat tangle-resistant wire that goes around the neck and continues down to the earbuds. Each side has a remote box, one with all the buttons and LEDs, and one bare (just for balancing purposes).
The left side remote box volume up and down buttons, as well as the multifunction button to turn on and off power and pause and play music. You can also answer or decline phone calls using this button. The buttons have decent tactile feedback but are sometimes hard to find and press since they sit flush with the remote box’s body. This side also features the micro-USB charging port tucked under a rubber flap.
In the box, users get two additional silicone tips to choose from. We found that the Medium-sized ear tip fit us the best. The earbuds themselves are pretty ergonomic and fit relatively snugly inside the ear, however, the nozzles aren’t angled, which make them slightly less secure in the ear than earbuds with angled nozzles. The back of the buds are magnetic and attach to one another when not in use, which is a pretty common feature on wireless in-ear headphones, even in the budget segment. The earphones are also pretty lightweight and can easily be carried in pockets or small handbags.
The remote boxes on both sides are well-balanced and the earphones don’t tug on one side due to this. The cable is flat and tangle resistant, which we always appreciate. Overall, the HIFIMAN BW200 are particularly striking to look at but are comfortable and decently-built earphones for the sub-2K price range.
FeaturesIf you’re looking for a pair of feature-laden wireless earphones, the HIFIMAN BW200 isn’t necessarily the way to go. Even the Redmi SonicBass earphones which cost merely Rs 999 come equipped with a larger feature set than these earphones. The earphones are powered by Bluetooth v4.1, which is pretty dated for 2020-2021. They come with an IPX4 water resistance rating, which means the earphones can endure a few light splashes.
There’s no extra codec support such as AAC and aptX, just the standard SBC codec. However, at this price range, it is easy to forgive that. What isn’t that easy to forgive and forget is the lack of voice assistant support, so you can’t control Google Assistant or Siri with the onboard controls on this device, which is disappointing. Moreover, the earphones come with micro-USB charging, when most have moved on to USB Type-C.
One thing we were impressed with, however, was the battery life. For a pair of budget wireless earphones, the HIFIMAN BW200 has surprisingly decent battery life. Rated at 12 hours of playtime, we performed our own tests to corroborate these numbers and found that the buds last at least 11 hours from a full charge.
PerformanceHIFIMAN is a company well-known for its audio mastery, however, the BW200 doesn’t match the calibre of other offerings from the company. The sound profile is pretty dark, meaning the bass is too boosted and the highs are underemphasised to some degree. This creates a broody and dark sound tone which doesn’t sound good with many genres of music.
Uncompensated frequency response graph - HIFIMAN BW200 (Blue) vs Reference IEM (Orange)
For example, in the track Hysteria by Muse, the drums are too overpowering and they heavily veil the clarity and detail in the mids and highs. The lead guitar and cymbals in this track are heavily veiled causing the song to fall flat on its face. Even in bass-focused tracks, the earphones produce slightly boomy bass which takes away from the entire experience.
The mids on these earphones actually sound pretty detailed and rich, however, heavy auditory masking from the bass regions of the frequency chart mar the quality of the mids. All in all, there are other earphones in this price range that do a better job at balancing the frequencies. For instance, the Redmi SonicBass does come with a bass bias, but the bass doesn’t overpower the mids and highs to a degree where they lose all their detail.
VerdictPriced at Rs 1,999 but available for Rs 1,490 on other e-commerce platforms, the HIFIMAN BW200 is a relatively well-built pair of headphones that lacks finesse in the sound quality. The sound profile is quite dark and the bass response overwhelms the details and nuances in the mids and highs. The earphones also lack voice assistant support and are powered by the dated Bluetooth v4.1, making these buds slightly hard for us to recommend to users.
