Frogwares Unveils Gameplay Teaser For Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Frogwares has debuted the first gameplay teaser for their upcoming story-driven, detective thriller - Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. While we did get to see a short glimpse of it in-action, during the Epic Games Showcase, their official YouTube channel has now put out a 20-second-long teaser, giving a slightly better look at the world and some of the gameplay mechanics.
Set on a vibrant Mediterranean island in the 19th century, Frogwares’ latest instalment in the classic deduction series puts us in the shoes of a younger, fresh-faced, 21-year-old Sherlock Holmes, as he tries to solve the mystery behind his mother’s death. The game is set to be a prequel to the previous iterations, with the narrative serving a pivotal role in his oncoming life of sleuthing. Chapter One features five main quests that are connected through one continuous story, along with more than 30 side cases you could indulge in, by exploring the seemingly vast open-world environment. Although brief, the teaser does showcase a few of the gameplay elements as we see the young detective eavesdropping, rushing through the corruption-filled streets, and noting down clues in his mind. We also get to see a bit of the hand-to-hand combat aspect as Sherlock carefully "discombobulates" his opponents one at a time.
As with the previous games, the story's outcome is entirely dependent on your skills as a detective. And will continue, regardless of whether you framed the right culprit or not. Additionally, players will be getting assistance from a new companion named Jon (not John Watson), who will be of utmost help during tough cases. Any further detail on this character is kept hidden, for now.
Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is set to release sometime later this year on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Frogwares has also stated that we could expect to see a full-length gameplay reveal trailer in March.

PS5 will be in short supply till the second half of 2021, just like the Xbox Series X
It's not just in India, gamers across the globe are finding it hard to get their hands on a PS5 (review). While scalpers are to blame for the problem, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has highlighted why it is so difficult for you to get your hands on a PS5. In an interview with the Washington Post, Ryan says that he is “very sorry” most people haven't been able to get their hands on a console. One of the reasons for the shortage of the console is the ongoing pandemic.
Ryan goes on to say, “Demand was greater than we anticipated. Along with the complexities of the supply chain issues, resulted in a slightly lower supply than we initially anticipated.” He also highlights that production of the PS5 is ramping up steadily. Even though the PS5 may be in short supply for the foreseeable future, it looks like we could see some availability for the PS5 in March in India.
PS5 and Xbox Series X/S facing shortages till second half of 2021The PS5 isn't the only next gen console facing stock issues. Earlier this month Microsoft confirmed that the next generation Xbox, the Series X (review) would be in short supply all through June. Microsoft's head of investor relations, Mike Spencer said that supply is going to be an issue until July. You can learn more about the shortage of Xbox Series X here.
Sony and Microsoft both launched their next gen consoles globally towards the end of 2020 and while Microsoft launched the Xbox Series X and S in India at the same time as the rest of the world, Sony was a little late to the party launching the console in Feb 2021.
Sony is hosting a 30-minute State of Play event tonight to highlight games coming to the PS4 and PS5 and you can watch the event here. If you are confused as to which next gen console is right for you, you can check out our comparison between the Xbox Series X and PS5 here. Sony has also announced the next generation PlayStation VR headset for the PS5 and you can learn everything we know about the PSVR 2 here. Sony is also making one of its best PS4 games free for all gamers in March. Learn how to get the game free here.
Also, if you are a PC gamer, you should know that Days Gone will be coming to the PC just like Horizon: Zero Dawn.

PUBG New State game announced for Android and iOS, not available in India
PUBG Corporation has just announced a brand-new version of the game for smartphones. Called PUBG New State, the game takes the tried and tested battle royale formula of the original game and adds a futuristic twist to it. The game is currently up for pre-registration on Android and iOS. However, the pre-order on iOS is slated to release soon. As an added bonus, players who pre-order the game will get a permanent “Limited Vehicle Skin”. The developers have not yet confirmed when the game will launch for players.
PUBG New State detailsThe developers have released a trailer for the game, which gives us some insight into what players can expect. The trailer revealed that the game will be set in the year 2051 and will presumably feature a map called Troi. What we know for certain is that the map will be 8x8km in size, which is about the same as Erangel and Miramar. Vehicles like cars, buggies and motorcycles will still be available as usual. The trailer also suggests that there will be drones in the game, however, it seems like these will only be used to drop supply crates.
You can check out more in the trailer below.
AvailabilityWhile the game is available for pre-registration around the globe. Players in India will still not be able to play the game! At least for now. Trying to pre-register in India leads to a message that the game “isn’t available in your country.” This is most likely due to the ban in place by the Government of India. As such, we don’t know if the game will ever be released in India. Especially considering the fact that PUBG Mobile India is yet to release. Even though the company teased the launch of the game back in Diwali last year. As such, PUBG Mobile fans in the country have little choice other than waiting and praying.
