Realme's annual smartphone launch cycle has just begun, and we expect a bunch of releases right around the corner. The company is on track to launch the new Realme GT this week. It's a performance flagship that is coming out on March 4. Now, it looks like the Realme X9 Pro is also in the works.

The Realme X9 Pro has now shown up on Weibo via WHYLAB. The leak claims that the Realme X9 Pro will be the company's imaging flagship this year that will focus on camera performance. The leak has given us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the phone. Let's take a quick look at them.

Realme X9 Pro will be the company's imaging flagship this year that will focus on camera performance

The Realme X9 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, an octa-core CPU built on a 6nm process. There aren't many devices out there that are powered by this particular SoC, and we're looking forward to testing it out.

The Realme X9 Pro will feature an FHD+ display with a punch-hole cutout. It is said to support a 90Hz refresh rate, which is more or less similar to many other devices we've already seen from Realme.

Coming to optics, this particular Realme device will feature a 108MP camera sensor. We are expecting to see the same camera sensor on the upcoming Realme 8 series. Lastly, the Realme X9 Pro is also expected to have a 4,500 battery and a 65W fast charging support.

The Realme X9 Pro will be a part of the Realme X9 series, however, we are yet to have our ears filled about a release date for the series. This is also the very first time we are hearing about the Realme X9 Pro, so we suggest you take this leak with a pinch of time. Both the Realme X9 and the Realme X9 Pro are expected to arrive sometime in the second half of 2021, so we are expecting to see more leaks leading up to the official release.

Apple iPad Pro 2021 could perform as well as the M1-powered Mac

Apple has done an incredible job with its new M1-powered Macs, and they are off to be a flourishing start. In fact, the M1-powered machines are so good that people can't wait to see what Apple can pull off with the next version. While we are waiting for that to happen, it looks like Apple's new iPad Pro units are expected to deliver some stunning performance.

The new iPad Pro models are tipped to come out this month and a new report has now shed some light on the kind of performance we can expect out of these tablets. The upcoming iPad Pro models coming out this year are expected to be powered by a new chipset. It could be the A14 chipset. It is the same chipset that's at the heart of the new iPhone 12 series.

The new chipset is expected to deliver a significant performance improvement over the A12Z Bionic chipset that's currently running the show on the current iPad Pro models.

The current iPad Pro models, for those of you who don't know, is already a stellar device with some impressive performance figures, so we can imagine what the new ones powered by the A14. As for the performance, we hear that the new iPad Pro models are going to be just as powerful as the M1-powered Apple Mac devices.

Besides the performance improvements, the new iPad Pro units are also said to come with support for 5G connectivity with sub-6Ghz and mmWave networks. They are also expected to have better camera performance.

In terms of the design, the new tablets will probably look similar to the current models. However, it is being speculated that the new models may be a bit thicker if Apple ends up offering a mini-LED display with improved brightness and better contrast ratios. The iPad Pro models already have beautiful displays, and it'll be interesting to see if Apple can one-up them.

If the rumours are something to go by, then it looks like Apple iPad Pro 2021 models will go official this month. That being said, there is no official confirmation from Apple regarding the same. We might end up learning more about these devices before they are officially announced.

New Halo Infinite screenshots shows off evolved graphics after backlash

It is no exaggeration when we say that the first footage of Halo Infinite gameplay didn't really impress the gamers. It didn't sit well mostly because it was lacklustre and last-gen looking for a game that is slated to arrive in 2021 for next-gen machines. It has been a while since we heard anything about the game, but it looks like there is some progress.

343 Industries and Microsoft have shared a fresh batch of screenshots on Halo's official blog. The new screenshots give us our first look at the evolved graphics after the initial backlash. Even for the Halo enthusiasts who liked the original snaps, the new screenshots look more realistic and well, more next-gen.

All the screenshots shared on the blog have been captured on the PC, however, we expect it to look just as good on the Xbox consoles, if not better. The developers say that they are committed to delivering a great experience and a high level of visual fidelity across all platforms.

We have some gameplay screenshots as well as a few concept art shots. Here, check them out -

343 Industries has shared new screenshots of 'Halo Infinite'.

In addition to this, 343 Industries has also showcased a particular location's day/night cycle.

— Erik Kain (@erikkain) February 26, 2021

All these new screenshots give us a good idea of what to expect from the game's graphics. It is indeed a shame that Halo Infinite couldn't be released as a launch title for the Xbox Series X. That being said, we would rather have a polished experience over a lacklustre title that leaves us wanting more. We all know what happened to CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077.

Halo Infinite, for those of you who don't know, is meant to be a 'spiritual reboot' that is meant to recreate the look and feel of early Halo games. We can obviously expect to see some modern touches such as an environmental lighting system that can change the mood based on the time of the day. 343 Industries and Microsoft don't have a release date for Halo Infinite yet, but it is expected to come out this Fall.

WhatsApp rolls out a new feature that lets you mute videos before sharing them

WhatsApp is known for promptly pushing out new features to all its users. The company keeps testing new ones in beta for a couple of weeks and sends them out as a part of the stable releases quite frequently. The new feature that currently rolling out to the users is the ability to mute videos before sharing them.

WhatsApp was spotted testing this new feature earlier this month. The feature essentially lets users mute a video before sharing it in a conversation with the contacts or uploading it as a status story. The new stable version of the app (v2.21.3.19) on Android is now rolling out widely and the feature works flawlessly when we tested it.

Here, check out the screenshot to see it in action -

WhatsApp releases Mute feature

From what we've seen, WhatsApp will let you mute both the new video clips recorded with the built-in camera UI in WhatsApp as well as the pre-recorded ones from the gallery. You'll see a button at the bottom of the trim option in the preview screen before sending.

Here's how you can use this particular feature -

1. Open a conversation window and pick a video from your gallery by tapping the attach button.

2. Once you select the video, you'll see a sound icon right at the bottom of the UI element that lets you trim the video.

3. You can simply tap the icon and your video will be muted for the recipient or the ones who see it on your status update.

For your eyes, not your ears. You can now mute the audio on your videos before adding them to your Status or sending in chat. Now available on Android.

— WhatsApp (@WhatsApp) February 26, 2021

This feature will be handy for those who are sharing videos with poor audio quality or the ones that have too much background noise. It's also good for people who just want to share videos that can be watched without any audio.

As we mentioned earlier, this feature is now rolling out widely with v2.21.3.19 of the app. You may or may not see it depending on the version of the app and the location, so just make sure you have the updated version of the app on Android. It doesn't appear to have rolled out for WhatsApp users on iOS just yet.
