The OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9E have been spotted on case-maker Spigen’s website, ahead of the rumoured launch of the OnePlus 9 series sometime later this month. OnePlus is expected to reveal the launch date of the OnePlus 9 series on March 8 as it has been teasing heavily. An affordable phone in the upcoming line-up previously leaked as OnePlus 9 Lite could be called the OnePlus 9E as that name has cropped up in an earlier leak as well.

The OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9E have been spotted on case-maker Spigen’s website

According to a report by MySmartPrice who first spotted the names of the upcoming phones on Spigen’s website, the OnePlus 9E could be the name of the affordable phone, after all. This phone has previously leaked as the OnePlus 9 Lite and OnePlus 9R. It is now rumoured that the company will launch the OnePlus 9 series on March 23.

Something I am personally looking forward to! It's more than just "Matte" - you know what I mean when it launches ;) Nine Pro. pic.twitter.com/VlPw9WDh53

However, soon after the report, Spigen seemingly took down the names from its website. So if you visit the website’s OnePlus section now, you won’t find the names OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and 9E there. All three phones have been leaked previously, revealing their key specifications.

PUBG: New State will not release in India now, Krafton to focus on PUBG Mobile comeback instead

PUBG: New State, the futuristic-looking game that's set to expand the PUBG universe has sparked a lot of conversation. A couple of days back, we thought the game's India launch was imminent because of the Hindi version support spotted on the website.

The game is already up for pre-registration on Google Play Store and the App Store in many markets outside India. In our country, however, the game is a no-show, and it looks like it will remain that way for now. The folks over at Sportskeeda spoke to a Krafton representative who confirmed that it has decided not to include pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India.

"With Krafton doing everything it can to prepare for the launch of a new PUBG app specifically developed and serviced for India, it has decided not to include pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India," the representative said. This clearly indicates that the company is more focused on bringing PUBG Mobile back to India. Krafton is also said to be in talks with the government for the same.

Another statement from Krafton says that the publisher is waiting for the government's decision to plan their next move in India. "We are awaiting the Indian government's consideration and decision on our next plan with PUBG in the region."

This pretty much confirms that PUBG: New State will not be available in India, at least at launch. But at the same time, it gives us hopes about playing PUBG Mobile in India again as the developers and publishers are working towards re-launching it in the country.

PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September last year. The government decided to take down hundreds of Chinese apps in the country which also included TikTok. All those apps are still banned in the country with no signs of a positive response from the government. Krafton still has a lot of ground to cover before the game can hit the stores again.

Redmi TV teased to launch in India, could be the Redmi Max TV or a new variant entirely

Towards the end of the Redmi Note 10 event, Xiaomi teased the launch of the Redmi TV in India. The tagline of the teaser reads, “The XL Experience” hinting that we could see a large screen TV from Redmi. In light of the teaser, let’s break down everything we know about Redmi TVs available internationally and whether it could be the Redmi Max that’ll launch in India.

Did you notice the easter egg at the end of the #redminote10launch ?? What do you reckon??? pic.twitter.com/aA5pGRZzki

— Eshwar (@eshwar_nc) March 4, 2021 Redmi TV India launch date, price and availability

At the beginning of February, known leaker Mukul Sharma said that the Redmi TV would launch in India in March. The same launch window (March 2021) has been confirmed by Xiaomi India Category Lead for Smart TVs, Eshwar Nilakantan. In an interview with the Financial Express, Eshwar says the launch will happen this month (March). This confirms the time frame, but we are left in the dark about the price and availability.

When it comes to the price, the Redmi Max 86-inch TV is priced at 7,999 yuan (Rs. 90,500 approx. directly converted). Considering this will be Redmi’s first TV in India, we speculate that the brand may not want to launch a TV priced close to Rs 1,00,000. So even though the tag line says “XL Experience” it is possible we could see a 65-inch TV from Redmi.

Will Xiaomi launch the Redmi Max TV in India?

Since the Redmi Max is the most recently launched TV and comes in an 86-inch screen size, all logic points towards the teaser being about the Redmi Max. However, if we go back to the information shared by Mukul Sharma at the beginning of February he says that Redmi could launch a 55 or even 65-inch TV.

A 65-inch Redmi TV fits the bill for an “XL” TV. While Xiaomi has a 65-inch TV in the market in the form of the Mi TV 4X, it has been "unavailable" for some time. Also, the Mi TV 4X launched way back in 2019 and is due for a refresh. So, it makes sense that Xiaomi brings a 65-inch Redmi TV at an affordable price.

Redmi TV expected features and specifications

Xiaomi has already set the bar quite high with the Mi QLED TV 4K (review) offering customers QLED backlighting, support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR 10 and HDR 10+. The TV also comes with HDMI 2.1 support for the new-gen gaming consoles - the PS5 (review) and Xbox Series X (review). So it only makes sense that the upcoming Redmi TV offers similar specifications or offer a significant price advantage for those looking for a large screen TV for entertainment and aren't necessarily gamers. Needless to say, we think the TV will run on Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI which offers users a unique smart TV experience in a sea of homogenous Android TVs.

All of this is, of course, speculation, and we will only know the model number, screen size and specifications of the Redmi TV when it officially launches.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note 10 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Heres how the new Xiaomi phones stack up

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max have been launched in India as the successors to the popular Redmi Note 9 series from last year. The Redmi Note 10 series features some notable upgrades over the Redmi Note 9 phones, which are still among the list of most popular phones available in the market right now.

Among the upgrades are Super AMOLED displays across the three models, and the presence of powerful camera set-ups. However, there are differences between the devices that set them apart from each other. Here how the three differ from each other.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note 10 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Price

Of the three phones launched today, the Redmi Note 10 is the most affordable of the three, with the phone starting at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and going up to Rs 13,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is slightly more expensive as it is priced at Rs 15,999 for 6GB RAM + 64GB storage model, going up to Rs 18,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

There's also a mid-variant with 6GB RAM  and 128GB storage for Rs 16,999. Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the most expensive of the lot, with the base variant (6GB RAM + 64GB) retailing at a price tag of Rs 18,999. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage has been launched at Rs 19,999, while the top-end one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for Rs 21,999.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Design and display

The three Redmi Note 10 series phones follow the company's new Evol design language, and as such, they look quite similar to each other. However, there are some subtle differences, with the Note 10 Pro and Pro Max being heavier than the Note 10 which weighs only 178 grams -- as opposed to 192 grams for the Pro and Pro Max. The vanilla Redmi Note 10 is lighter than its siblings because of two reasons.

The first being its more compact form factor because of the presence of a smaller 6.43-inch FullHD+ display. It also uses plastic on the back as opposed to a sheet of glass on the Pro and Pro Max. As mentioned above, these two also get bigger displays (6.67-inch FullHD+) that can also run at a 120Hz frame rate. In comparison, the Note 10's display can only work at a fixed 60Hz. However, all three are rated for high brightness levels as Xiaomi has used Super AMOLED panels across the Note 10 series this year.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note Pro vs Redmi Note Pro Max: What's under the hood?

Under the hood, we have the same Snapdragon 732G chipset on the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. As such, both phones do not support 5G. This 8nm silicon uses a configuration of Kryo 470 cores running at 2.3 GHz. For games, this chipset houses an Adreno 618 GPU.

The vanilla Note 10 is powered by a more modest Snapdragon 678 SoC. This is the first phone in India to use this chip, putting the Note 10 in a rather unique position. This chipset is built on a 11nm LLP process and is quite similar to the Snapdragon 675. It brings with itself an overclocked Cortex A76 cores working at up to 2.2GHz. Games are handled by the Adreno 612 GPU.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note Pro vs Redmi Note Pro Max: Cameras

All three phones offer impressive cameras. However, there's a clear winner here -- the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The most modest of the three is the Redmi Note 10 which has a quad-camera set-up on the back that consists of a primary 48MP camera with Sony IMX582 sensor followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout.

The Redmi Note Pro has quad cameras on the back with a 64MP primary camera that uses Samsung’s ISOCELL GW3 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 118-degree field of view, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max also has a quad-camera array on the back, but the primary lens here is a 108MP camera that uses Samsung's ISOCELL HM2 sensor, with the other three cameras being the same as on the Note 10 Pro. As for the front-facing camera, both phones have a 16MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout.

Redmi Note 10 vs Redmi Note Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: Battery

Both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max are equipped with 5,020mAh batteries with support for 33W fast charging out-of-the-box. The Redmi Note 10 also supports 33W fast charging, but the battery here is 5,000mAh in size.
