Poco confirms new smartphone launch on March 30, could be Poco X3 Pro

Poco has officially confirmed that it is launching a new phone on March 30 in India. While the company has not officially revealed the name of the phone, it's likely the Poco X3 Pro or an entirely new phone altogether. The Poco X3 was launched in India on September 22 with 64MP quad cameras, 120Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 732G under the hood. The company has been teasing the launch of a new smartphone and it issued a letter for its fans that was filled with references to the name of the phone and the launch date.

Poco is sending out media invites and has officially revealed that it is going to launch a new smartphone on March 30 in India. “ Time to break the price-performance (P:P) benchmark,” hinting that the company is going aggressive with the price of the upcoming phone that could be the Poco X3 Pro. Moreover, in the open letter to its fans waiting for the mythical Poco F2, the company hints that it is planning to repeat the saga that started with the Poco F1.

Time to break the price-performance(P:P) benchmark. Brace yourselves as we get ready to unleash MAD #PROformance on 30.03 Remember: Only a POCO can beat a #POCO. Guesses? pic.twitter.com/Nu5Zy9A0JG

— POCO - Madder By the Minute (@IndiaPOCO) March 15, 2021

Poco’s open letter read: “When we speak of coming out with a device like the F1 today, a device that’s all about performance, we are told: “That’s impossible now! Are you mad?” And to that we say: “Exactly!” Which is why this saga could be repeated. Should be repeated. After all, “only a Poco can beat a Poco!” The only difference being it’ll not be an F by name but by game!”

Poco X3 Pro expected specifications

Poco X3 Pro could feature a Full HD+ display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to be powered by the yet-unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor which seems like a follow-up to the Snapdragon 855 series of chipsets.

Qualcomm is yet to officially announce the Snapdragon 860 as it recently launched the Snapdragon 870 processor. The latter succeeds the Snapdragon 865 series processors from last year and will power many mid-premium smartphones in 2021.

The Poco X3 Pro is expected to be equipped with a 5,200mAh battery that will support fast-charging out-of-the-box.

There have been reports claiming that the Poco X3 Pro could be priced starting at EUR 250 for the 6GB+128GB storage and EUR 300 for the 8GB+256GB storage option.

We expect to know more about the Poco X3 Pro in the weeks leading up to the launch which is scheduled for March 30.

Call of Duty: Mobile celebrates Holi with a special offer for players

With the festival of Holi just around the corner, Call of Duty: Mobile has introduced a new Holi Offer. The offer gives players 30 COD Points and one High Class Crate for Rs 29. The offer is valid till the end of the month.

Call of Duty: Mobile has introduced a new Holi Offer

High Class Crate in Call of Duty: Mobile Holi Offer

It should be noted that the High Class Crate does not contain any new characters or Epic Weapon blueprints. Instead, the crate seems to have a focus on the Battle Royale mode with a greater concentration of vehicle skins, wingsuits and class skins.

There are six Epic items that players can get aside from a number of other common and uncommon items. This includes:

ORV - Posh Antelope A20 - Post Boat - Posh Tank - Posh Motorcycle - Posh Spray - Skull Beret

It is not yet known if Activision plans to introduce any other events, items or offers to celebrate Holi. Having a special event to celebrate occasions is nothing new. The most recent example was Valentine’s Day during which the developers released the Valentine's Day crate and bundle. Since this was related to the festival of love, players could unlock some pink-liveried skins for vehicles, weapons and items.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 Day of Reckoning update

For now, it seems like Activision is more focused on its new Season 2 ‘Day of Reckoning’ update for Call of Duty: Mobile. The update rolled out last week and added a bunch of new features and items. This includes two new weapons, namely the AS VAL marksman rifle and the SP-R 208 marksman rifle. It should be noted that the AS VAL is already available for all players upon reaching Tier  21 of the free Battle Pass. The SP-R 208 will release sometime later, probably via a Seasonal Challenge. The game already has received the new Shoot House map, and should get the modern version of the Shipment later. As if this wasn’t enough, players can also earn the new Napalm score streak by reaching Tier 14 of the free Battle Pass.
