Samsung Galaxy S21 FE one step closer to launch with TENAA certification

After receiving an FCC listing, the Samsung S21 FE now has China’s TENAA certification. According to the digital publication Myfixguide, the Samsung S21 FE is one step closer to launch. The recent Chinese listing also reveals a lot of important specs related to the S21 FE including its battery and screen size, along with several hints related to its other important specifications.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Leaked TENAA certification

Samsung S21 FE Leaked Specifications

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE comes with Android 11 out of the box and can support dual-sim standby mode. Additionally, it also has a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen, 5G connectivity with four bands including N41, N78, N79, N28 and a 4,370 mAh battery which is bigger than what its expensive cousin the Galaxy S21 is packing.

After the news popped up on the internet, Mysmartprice, noted that the Samsung S20 FE comes with an Octa-core processor clocked in at 2.8 GHz. Online reports speculate that the Galaxy S21 FE could feature the Snapdragon 888 but has not been confirmed yet.

Furthermore, the upcoming latest Samsung FE will pack 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. But opting for a lower storage version of the Galaxy S21 FE could be a better choice because it also has an expandable SD card slot, according to the TENAA listing. Other important specs of the Samsung S21 FE include a triple camera setup (32 MP + 12 MP + 8 MP) at the rear and a screen resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels.

Samsung S21 FE Design, Price

Design-wise, the Galaxy S21 follows in the footsteps of Samsung’s latest S21 series, with a rectangular camera housing and a punch-hole selfie cam. One key difference is that the rear camera housing protrudes less in the leaked photos of S21 FE compared to the S21 series of smartphones. The Galaxy A52 and A72 feature a “merged” rear camera housing as well.

The previous leak also suggested that the S21 FE could have an aluminium back panel instead of plastic because of the presence of antenna bands. However, the more expensive S21 features a plastic case, so expecting something better on a device positioned below it makes little sense.

When it comes to pricing, we have no official word as of yet. But online speculation put the price of the Galaxy S21 FE at between Rs 44,000 and 58,000. However, with the global chip shortage going on in the background, Samsung could face trouble in pricing the S21 FE competitively.

Garena Free Fire adds new Kingfisher assault rifle to the game

Garena Free Fire has added a brand new weapon to its ever-expanding armoury. This time around, the developers have added a new Assault Rifle called the Kingfisher. As a weapon in the class, it offers a good mix of damage, range, and fire rate. The Kingfisher will be available in Clash Squad and BR modes.

Garena Free Fire: Kingfisher details

The Kingfisher assault rifle comes pre-attached with a 2x scope, but that can be replaced with another scope if need be. It also accepts muzzle, stock and foregrip. This makes it very similar to the AUG assault rifle that also comes with a 2x scope pre-attached and accepts the same attachments. However, there are some differences between the two weapons. The AUG offers a higher damage output as compared to the Kingfisher, but the latter makes up for it by offering a higher fire rate and more controlled recoil. It should also be noted that the Kingfisher only has a 20 round magazine with no magazine attachments. So players will have to reload more often.

The Kingfisher can be a very good pickup for those who have just landed

Due to its qualities, the Kingfisher can be a very good pickup for those who have just landed. Its more forgiving recoil and multiple attachments will also make it a popular option for players till mid-game. At that point, players should start looking for more powerful options that better suit their gameplay style.

In related news, Garena recently announced that it was temporarily halting matchmaking for the Pet Rumble mode from July 10 onwards. The devs say that this is to iron out some bugs and other issues in the mode. However, players will still be able to play the mode with their friends via Pet Rumble room cards. From July 7 to July 11, players can earn free room cards by getting kills in BR rank. You can learn more about that here.

PS5 restock in India to go live on July 12 at 12 PM IST according to new report

For gamers who have still not gotten their hands on the PS5 (review), there’s some good news on the horizon. The next PS5 restock will take place at 12 pm on 12 July. Yes, that’s four days away. First reported by IGN India, multiple retailers have spoken to the publication and confirmed that the PS5 will indeed be restocked on July 12. It’s been a harrowing time for gamers in India as a lot of gamers have still not been able to purchase a PS5

PS5 Restock India up for pre-order on July 12 at 12 PM

Yet again, we will see a restock of the Disc Edition of the PS5 along with the Digital Edition. The report also states that Amazon India, Flipkart, Vijay Sales, and ShopAtSC will have the console up for pre-order on July 12 at 12 PM Indian Standard Time. The PS5 has a handful of exclusives such as Returnal (review), Demon Souls, Astro's Playroom, Destruction AllStars, to name a few. First party heavy hitters like Spider-Man Miles Morales (review), Sackboy: A Big Adventure and more are available on the PS4 as well. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (review) is exclusive to the PS5 only. The market for Blu-Ray discs isn’t as big in India as it elsewhere in the world so we do think that more units of the Digital Edition will ship this time. Or, at least we’re hoping they do.

Getting a next-gen console has been difficult in India. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X (review) are hard to get and a big reason for this is the ongoing global chip shortage. You can learn more about it here.

Despite the global shortage, Sony says the PS5 is the best-selling console, with more than 7.8 million units sold. Sony still has highly anticipated games such as God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon: Forbidden West scheduled to launch in 2022 and 2021, respectively for the PS5.
