Apples upcoming MacBook Pro models may have an updated 1080p webcam: Report

It's no surprise that Apple is expected to launch a new set of MacBook Pro models later this year. There's already a lot of speculation surrounding the new MacBooks and they're expected to come with the new rumoured M1X chip among many other things. Now, according to a new report, it looks like Apple will be fitting a new and updated 1080p webcam on these new notebooks.

Apple's current-generation MacBooks, in case you don't know, only comes with a 720p webcam. It's honestly one of the few things that we'd love to see change when the new MacBooks come out. Well, Apple seems to be aware of the quality, which is why they're expected to feature a 1080p webcam.

I know a lot people are referencing Linus’s video (which is a great video by the way) but it’s good to note that the upcoming MacBook Pro will actually be getting an updated improved 1080p webcam for the next model and so will the entire Mac lineup.

— Dylan (@dylandkt) July 10, 2021

The new MacBooks won't be the first set of computing devices from Apple to have a 1080p camera since they've already introduced the same on the 24-inch iMac M1 that launched earlier this year. According to a new tip, it looks the same will extend to new MacBooks as well.

The MacBook Pro models are also expected to ship with the new M1X chip when they come out in September. In fact, the company is also expected to bring a 14-inch as well as a 16-inch variant, both of which will most likely have mini-LED displays. The new silicon is also expected to have support for up to 64GB RAM instead of just 16GB on the current M1 chip.

Additionally, we're also hearing rumours about the new MacBook Pro models having more ports including an HDMI as well as an SD card reader. It will be interesting to see if this happens and how it will end up changing the dimensions of the new notebooks.

It's obviously hard to confirm how reliable this information is, so we suggest you take this info with a pinch of salt. The new MacBook Pro models are said to be announced alongside the iPhone 13 later this year, so we'll see when that happens. Until then, stay tuned for more info.

Battlegrounds Mobile India surpasses 34 million registered users within a week

We knew that Battlegrounds Mobile India was an anticipated title, and now we know exactly how eagerly PUBG Mobile fans were awaiting the game. Krafton has announced that Battlegrounds Mobile India has surpassed 34 million registered users within a week of its official release. It should be noted that this mark was only achieved via the Google Play Store since the game is not yet available on iOS. As such, the number will only rise even further when the game is made available on the Apple App store. Not only that, but the developers note that Battlegrounds Mobile India achieved a peak of 16 million daily active users and 2.4  million peak concurrent users.

Wooyol Lim, Head of Battlegrounds Mobile Division, at KRAFTON, Inc., expressed his appreciation saying “We would like to thank our users in India for their support. We are committed to bringing new and more entertaining content to Battlegrounds Mobile India to bring greater joy to our fans and players.” and added, “With Battlegrounds Mobile India as a start, KRAFTON hopes to grow and further develop together with India’s video gaming and esports industry”

To recall, Krafton officially released Battlegrounds Mobile India on July 2. Before that, the game was available in Early Access. In other words, the game was only accessible to a limited number of people. However, players did devise a way to side-load and play the game.

Battlegrounds Mobile India has also announced changes to its ranking system and Royal Pass as Season 19 draws to a close. From Season 20 onwards, three consecutive seasons will be grouped as 1 Cycle. The naming scheme has also undergone changes and will now be known as C1S1 (Cycle 1 Season 1), C1S2 (Cycle 1 Season 2), C1S3 (Cycle 1 Season 3), C2S1 (Cycle 2 Season 1), so on and so forth. You can learn more about that here.

The charger is only available in white colour as of yet and comes with 6 months of warranty.

Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo Specs And Features

As per its official name, the Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo supports up to 67W of fast charging. It comes with a single USB type-A port with orange accents,  supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and keeps your devices safe with built-in Surge Protection.

The Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo includes a charging brick made from polycarbonate featuring dual non-retractable connector pins. It only comes with a  single USB Type-A to Type-C non-braided cable. The latest Mi fast charger supports the following charging speeds - 5V at 3A, 9V at 3A, 20V at 3.35A, and 11V at 6.1A.

Any device rated for a 67W fast charger can make use of the Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo. However, the Mi fast charger will not provide a 67W charging speed all the time while charging a smartphone. As the State of Charge of a device increases, its maximum charging speed decreases.

Lastly, the Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo can charge the Mi 11 ultra from 0 to 100% in 36 minutes, as per official sources. Some other smartphones that can support high-speed charging include the IQOO 7, Mi 10 Ultra, and Realme X50 Pro.

Nonetheless, the Mi 67W SonicCharge 3.0 Charger Combo will get rid of unnecessary multiple charges and consequently lighten your backpack.

Nokia C30 specifications and colour options leaked, could launch with an FHD+ display and 6,000mAh battery

Details regarding the Nokia C30 including its specs, colour options and design have surfaced online courtesy of multiple sources. The smartphone will most likely feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ display, a single rear camera, and a big battery.

Nokiapoweruser leaked Nokia C30’s images online alongside several of its important specifications. Additional information related to Nokia C30 comes from a Russian retailer site, 4Dealer, and a recent US FCC listing. However, no official information is available from HMD global, the Finnish company that owns Nokia.

Nokia C30 Specs Launch Date Price

Nokia C30 Specs and Design

As per leaks, Nokia C30 comes with Android 11 as a pre-installed OS. In addition to a 6.8-inch FHD+ (1,080 X 2,400 pixels) display, it features a waterdrop notch, a thick chin with Nokia branding and a 5 MP selfie camera. At the back, the Nokia C30 sports a circular camera housing a single 13 MP sensor. Adjacent to the circular array is the flash and below it is the fingerprint sensor.

Reports allege an unknown Hexa-core 1.60 GHz processor, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage (expandable upto 256 GB) packed in the Nokia C30 along with a massive 6,000mAh battery. Other important Nokia C30 features include a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top, dual-sim tray, Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, micro-SD card face-unlock etc.

The leak also suggests that Nokia C30 will come with a micro-USB port, which is hard to believe because even entry-level smartphones feature a USB Type-C port in 2021. The Nokia C30 will weigh 191 grams.

Nokia C30 will most likely have two colour options - white and green. The leaked photo suggests that the rear panel is made out of plastic with a matte finish which will prevent fingerprints.

The upcoming Nokia C30 will launch with Android 11 out of the box. Nokia’s competitors like Samsung offer a minimum of four years of security updates on their Galaxy devices, which one year more than the three promised by Nokia.

There is no launch date for the Nokia C30.
