12 Minutes of Forza Horizon 5 Gameplay footage has been released and heres what we think

The newest Forza Horizon map was revealed to the world earlier this week and we are excited! The map is based on Mexico this time around and features a big volcano and lots and lots of sand dunes for maybe some offroad racing. We might also see the usual urban street race theme change up a little bit here and we might see some pointers to how it happens in the real world considering the Street Racing scene in the US and Mexico and how people move over borders at night to race.

YouTuber Don Joewon Song has uploaded a video which is quite lengthy featuring tons of open world free roaming in the new map so we get a feel of how it is to be playing the game and get an overall feel of the game.

If you’re looking for wide, long, gently bending roads for those long free roam sessions then you’re in luck because just like in Forza Horizon 4, Forza Horizon 5 will have lots of those as well, the only difference being that instead of the roads being surrounded by large deciduous trees,  they’ll be lined with cacti.

The video above shows a customised 2020 Toyota Supra as it accumulates mud and dust while being driven along the Mexican coastline. The footage in the video is 4K which only makes it more enjoyable. Forza Horizon 4 delivered amazing graphics and gameplay and it doesn’t look like Playground Games is messing with the formula here since they’ve already pretty much nailed the open world arcade racing thematic. We will, however, be seeing a few technical upgrades like better engine sounds and ray traced audio. We’ll all get to see how it works out as Forza Horizon releases on November 9th, 2021.

NetEase announces its new 5v5 shooter and were reminded of a totally different PC Game

Twitter went bonkers over a trailer which was dropped by Chinese Developer NetEase. Why? Well maybe because the game in question here is Project M which is an awful lot like Valorant.

NetEase came out with the trailer on 4th of August and it featured the different levels of gunplay and the various abilities each playable character will have.

The character which was featured in the trailer had abilities very similar to those of Sova’s from Valorant. The character was heavily based around a bow and arrows and could reveal locations of the opponents if used correctly. It could also set up a wind tunnel of sorts which would deal damage to the opponents who would fall into it. The game features a 5v5 search and destroy mode much like the unrated mode on Valorant. One side has to plant the spike and the other side needs to defuse it in order to win.

We also got to see NetEase’s take on the sage wall, Brimstone and Omen Smokes, the Sova Drone and more. Coming to the resemblances in the agents, we get to see a female Sova, an Omen, a male KillJoy, a true ripoff of Sage and others.

Riot Games had already announced a mobile version of their beloved game Valorant and with NetEase announcing Project M, We think it’s only a matter of time before NetEase is hit with a lawsuit just like Ejoy who received theirs when they released a ripoff of Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege and had their game taken off mobile stores only last year. 

Upon closer inspection, it was found by SportsKeeda that NetEase is a direct competitor of Riot Games’ parent company, Tencent and their main motive seemed to be to compete with them in the tactical FPS space by releasing Project M before Valorant Mobile itself.

Battlegrounds Mobile India surpasses 50 million downloads on Play Store, iOS version coming soon

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has surpassed 50 million downloads on Google Play Store, Krafton has confirmed. The popular battle royale game was released for Android on July 2 and by August 14, the game was downloaded by over 50 million Android users in India. 

With this, BGMI now ranks second in the list of top-grossing games on Play Store, only bested by Garena Free Fire. Additionally, Krafton has also revealed that it will be making announcements for the iOS version of BGMI “very soon” on its social media handles.

Celebrating the 50 million download, Krafton is offering the Galaxy Messenger Set outfit to players and more rewards. “We extend our warm wishes to our Indian fans on the occasion of Independence Day. We are delighted to be a part of this celebration, made even sweeter with BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA hitting 50M downloads on the Play Store in just over a month! I am looking forward to an equally strong response to our first esports tournament starting next month,” said Mr Wooyol Lim, Head of Battlegrounds Mobile Division, Krafton.

Krafton also conducted a Freedom Face-Off event on the occasion of Independence Day with Team Encore being crowned as the winners. Furthermore, Krafton is hosting an in-game Independence Day Mahotsav event where players can win rewards including a temporary AWM skin. This event will go on until August 19.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series has also been announced and has received over 540,000 registrations to date with more players still registering for the game. The stream schedule for the tournament will be revealed after the registrations come to an end.

The Royal Pass Month 2 also commenced last week with the theme Project T with new outfits and rewards. The maximum RPM rank remains 50 but the number of rewards for each tier has been increased. Moreover, the challenge missions will now last for a month.

The Amiga 500 console is getting a makeover

Retro Games, the minds behind the Commodore 64 mini are all set to release a new mini console, with a makeover of the famous Amiga 500 or A500. Retro games says that the product will hit the markets in early 2022 and the price of the console will be set around $139.99. 

It comes with a remake of the famous 2-button mouse, 8-button gamepad and decorative keyboard which you’ll have to plug-in with an actual one to make it work. The console will come with 25 of the classic A500 games like Worms, Another world and Simon the sorcerer but as of now only 12 out of 25 games have been announced and you can get a USB drive to load up your own ROMs. The 12 announced games are:

Much like any other retro console, M500 mini’s glossy software layer will smoothen out the rough edges of software to give a smooth experience. Rather than imitating the vanilla AMigo 500, the mini console will also run the Enhanced Chip Set (ECS) layers. 

But is it okay to have a dedicated console to play old games?? What’s wrong with Emulators?? There is something endangering about making dedicated consoles for playing old games. 

The only misgivings we have at this point is that Retro Games’ previous work with the THEC64mini made that a hard product to love in several ways. Hopefully, however, many of those issues have been resolved for the new model, which was the object of lust for many people soon to be knocking on 40.

Realme Book price reportedly leaked before official Indian launch on August 18

Realme is tipped to launch its first laptop soon and it looks like we may have gotten an idea of its expected price. Twitter user, @TechTipster_ leaked the price of the upcoming Realme book online. The 11th Gen Intel Core-i5 1135G7-powered Realme Book is tipped to be priced at Rs 53,833 (4699 CNY). The Realme Book price information leaked through a retail poster in China. The Chinese poster also confirms additional specs including its speaker setup, battery life, etc.

As mentioned earlier, Realme Book is the first computing device from the smartphone maker to launch in India. Upon first look, it seems like a thin-and-light productivity/office laptop with aesthetics similar to an Apple Macbook.

Realme Book: Price and Specifications Leak

The leaked priced of the Realme Book at Rs 53,833 is in line with other popular devices in this segment. Therefore it'd be interesting to see how it establishes itself after launch. As per leaks, the specifcations of the Realme Book include the already mentioned 11th Gen Intel Core-i5 1135G7 quad-core processor, 16GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 512GB storage. The upcoming Realme laptop also comes equipped with DTS dual speakers powered by Harman Kardon for a better sound experience. The laptop features a 14-inch, 2k display with a 3:2 aspect ratio.  

The power button on the Realme Book also doubles up as a fingerprint reader for ease of usage. In terms of I/O, the laptop has two USB Type-C, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The leak suggests 11 hours of battery life along with 65W battery charging capabilities. As per a report, the Realme Book will launch on August 18.
