Microsoft Surface Go 3 tablet tipped to launch this month with the same design and Intel chips

Microsoft's Surface Go tablet range has been one of the more unique offerings in the tablet space, and it looks like the company is all set to bring the next unit in the series, the Surface Go 3 tablet. It's currently speculated to arrive later this month when the company is slated to announce a couple of new hardware offerings.

While we wait for that to happen, we have some leaked information about this upcoming tablet, and it looks like we'll once again be seeing Intel chips in use for these tablets instead of ARM. German publication WinFuture.de has reported that the Microsoft Surface Go 3 may come in two different variants. However, both of them are expected to make use of the Intel chips.

Microsoft Surface Go tablet

One of them is expected to be powered by the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor, a dual-core CPU with a base frequency of 1.10 GHz. The other model will most likely be powered by an Intel Core i3-10100Y processor, a relatively older quad-core unit with a base frequency of 3.60 GHz. This particular info appears to be extracted from the tablet's listing on Geekbench's database.

Microsoft Surface Go 3 expected specifications and features

The Surface Go 3 is also expected to feature the same 10.5-inch full-HD display as the predecessor. One can also expect to see a fold-out stand to go along with the tablet. Sadly, that's all the info we have about the tablet for now, but luckily we won't have to wait too long to see what Microsoft's been cooking for us behind the scenes.

Microsoft's virtual event is also expected to see the launch of Surface Duo 2. This particular device is also expected to have the same dual-screen design that saw earlier on the original model. We'll definitely have more to talk about these devices soon, so stay tuned.

Poco X3 Pro allegedly catches fire after charging, company calls it customer induced damage

Poco has launched a number of impressive phones this year, most of which have been hits with buyers. However, one of these devices has been in the news lately, and that too for all the wrong reasons. The Poco X3 Pro launched in India in March has been in the news again after an Indian Twitter user Aman Bhardwaj (@Ammybhardwaj13) claimed that his Poco X3 Pro went up in flames after 5 minutes of it being removed from the charger.

The Twitter user had also shared some images of the phone along with a receipt of the purchase of the phone. According to the shared information, the phone was purchased on June 15, 2021. The images shared by the Twitter user show the phone after it has caught fire. The phone is shown charred with the device's battery bulging out -- hinting at a possible explosion of the battery. Interestingly, the image also shows the blanket on the bed it was kept also burnt, possibly as a result of the explosion. The only silver lining here is that no one was injured during the explosion and no serious damage to the surroundings was also caused. Also of note is the fact that currently the tweet has been taken down by the user.

POCO X3 specs and features

However, not before the issue caught the eye of Poco India, which has since issued a statement on the matter. Clarifying its stance, it said: "At Poco India, customer safety is of utmost importance, and we take such matters extremely seriously. All our devices go through various levels of stringent quality tests to ensure that the quality of the device is not compromised at any level. Basis our technical investigation, the device appeared bent, and the LCM (liquid crystal module) was crushed, indicating the application of external force. This is thus classified under 'customer induced damage."

NZXT Capsule USB Microphone launched for USD 12999

NZXT Capsule marks the foray of NZXT into the microphone segment. The brand is known for their PC peripherals such as the Kraken line-up of AIO CPU coolers, PC Chassis, ATX power supplies and even motherboards. The NZXT Capsule is clearly targeted at gamers and video game streamers and is set to compete against the likes of Corsair's Wave 3, HyperX Quadcast and Solocast, Razer Siren X, Blue Yeti among others. The NZXT Capsule USB microphone is priced at USD 129.99 and there's a compatible Boom Arm that can be purchased for USD 99.99. Indian pricing for the NZXT Capsule and Boom Arm will be updated once we receive more details.

NZXT Capsule USB Microphone and Boom Arm for Gamers and Streamers

“We really wanted to focus on giving gamers and streamers what they truly need.” says Johnny Hou, NZXT’s founder and CEO. “That is why with NZXT Capsule there are no unnecessary polar partners or software requirements for using. It is just an elegant microphone that simply plugs in and works – Mr. Naqui Ahmad Country Manager at India Added.”

NZXT Capsule USB Microphone

The NZXT Capsule is a unidirectional microphone which is set to a cardioid polar pattern so more of the user's voice will be picked up while discarding sounds coming from the opposite end. The frequency calibration is suited towards vocal clarity. It reportedly also has an internal shock mounting mechanism. The base even features a quick-release mechanism that allows the user to quickly swap the base mount the mic onto the boom arm.

NZXT Capsule USB Microphone Quick Release for Boom Arm

The NZXT can record up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audio with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The Total Harmonic Distortion is 0.1% at 1 kHz and it uses a USB Type-C interface much like other gaming-focused microphones that it competes against. The front face has two adjustment knobs, one for varying the microphone gain and the other for headphone volume control. With the stand, the entire unit weighs 883g and about 314g without the stand. The NZXT Capsule is available in Black and  White colours.
