Redmi 9 Activ, Redmi 9A Sport tipped for India launch: Expected price, specifications and details
Xiaomi's has had a busy 2021, with the company launching a number of phones across various budget segments this year. And now, the phone maker is all set to add to the list by launching two new smartphones under last year’s Redmi 9 series. As per a report by MySmartPrice, the company will be launching the Redmi 9 Activ and Redmi 9A Sport in India very soon.
The devices are expected to be rebadged versions of Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A which were previously launched in the country. As per the report, the new devices will also bring new storage variants and colours for each smartphone.
Redmi 9 Active: Expected specificationsThe Redmi 9 Activ is expected to launch in a new colour which will be called the Metallic Purple colour variant. Additionally, the smartphone is set to be made available in two variants -- 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone is tipped to include a 6.53-inch HD+ display and comes with a 13MP dual rear camera. Apart from this, the device is also expected to feature a fingerprint sensor at the back and a big 5,000mAh battery. The expectation is that the phone will be based on the regular Redmi 9 Prime, with the device featuring the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC.
Redmi 9A Sport: Expected specificationsAs for the Redmi 9A Sport, it is tipped to be made available in India in a special Metallic Blue colour. The phone is expected to be made available in India as one of the most affordable devices in the price segments. Under the hood, the phone will come with the Helio G25 SoC, paired with multiple RAM and storage variants. These include 2GB+32GB, and 3GB+32GB variants. Other features include the same display size and resolution as the Redmi 9 such as the single 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera and a 5,000mAh battery as well.

Realme GT Neo 2 has officially launched in China and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip. The Realme GT Neo 2 was leaked previously where we collaborated with popular tipster OnLeaks to bring you the first look of the Realme GT Neo 2. The Realme GT series has also made its way to India where the company launched the flagship Realme GT alongside the Realme GT Master Edition. Here’s everything you need to know about the Realme GT Neo 2.
Realme GT Neo 2 specifications and pricingRealme GT Neo 2 features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ (2400x1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and is HDR10+ certified. The screen has a punch-hole notch cutout for the selfie camera up front.
The GT Neo 2 measures 9mm in thickness and weighs 199 grams and is being offered in three colours: Black, Blue and Yellow.
Realme GT Neo 2 price and availabilityThe Realme GT Neo 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 650 GPU. This is paired with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB storage options to choose from. The Neo 2 runs on Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0.
The phone has triple cameras on the back headlined by a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119-degree FOV and a 2MP macro camera. There is a 16MP selfie camera on the front and the cameras are backed by EIS for stable video recording.
The Realme GT Neo 2 has stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack that supports Hi-Res audio. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging out-of-the-box which Realme claims takes just 36 minutes to fully charge from 0-100%.
The Realme GT Neo 2 is priced starting at CNY 2499 (~Rs 28,500) for the base variant with 8GB+128GB storage, CNY 2699 (~Rs 30,788) for the 8GB+256GB model and CNY 2,999 (~Rs 34,210) for the maxed-out 12GB+256GB storage option.
