Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition gameplay leaks online a day before the games official release

The world is waiting with bated breath for Rockstar Games to officially unveil GTA 6, but in the meantime, it looks like we will have to make do with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition, which launches for the PS5 (review), PS4, Xbox One (review), Xbox Series S/X (review), Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow, November 11. A day before the launch of the game, leaked gameplay footage has emerged online. 

The leaked gameplay shows improvements made to gameplay such as the inclusion of the weapon selection wheel found on GTA V. As for the official footage, there is one trailer available of the trilogy which focuses mainly on the cutscenes of the games to highlight the graphical improvements made. Other improvements and enhancements include better use of the mini-map, trophy and achievement support, motion and touchscreen support, and more. 

Just so you understand the age of these three games, you can download and play GTA III and Vice City on your Android smartphone via the Play Store. Once upon a time, you needed a PC or a console to play these games but today, your smartphone is powerful enough to run them. GTA: III was released back in October 2001, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released in 2002 while Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released in 2004. 

We have seen a lot of games receive the remaster treatment bringing some truly classic games to a modern audience. Not to mention the fact that we will receive a next-gen version of GTA: V for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles in 2022. To put things into perspective, GTA: V was a cross-gen game launched for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in addition to the Xbox One and PS4.

Netflix Will Soon Roll Out Its Own take on Tik-Tok

In an effort to attract a younger audience, Netflix is planning to roll out a short video feature that functions similarly to TikTok. The platform will showcase short video clips (it is unclear whether these are 1-minute long, or 30-seconds short) to shed a light on more of its titles. This feature will be available on the iOS version of Netflix, and can be expected to roll out to Android devices after that.

What is Netflix’s Kid’s Clips feature?

Netflix’s Kid’s Clips feature will showcase excerpts from its shows aimed at children. The idea is to attract a younger audience, and increase the platform’s user base. Netflix already has a separate Kids profile that’s filled with cartoons and shows aimed at children, tweens and even young teens. However, the company feels that these titles are not getting the exposure they need, and is therefore showcasing the same through its new Kid’s Clips feature.

Netflix already has a slightly similar feature known as Fast Laughs. Fast Laughs showcases comedy clips from different shows in a vertical format. Kid’s Clips, on the other hand, may not restrict itself to humour, and will show videos in a horizontal format. 

To prevent kids from getting a little too hooked onto the app, Netflix will ensure that they can only watch 10-20 videos at a time. 

Where will Netflix’s Kid’s Clips be available?

For now, Netflix is rolling out the feature in the United States, along with a few Spanish-speaking countries of South America. The feature will also be rolled out in Canada, Ireland and Australia during the first phase. 

Netflix is also rolling out games on its Android app and is trying to do the same for its iOS app, but Apple's rules mean that it can’t go about it the same was as on Android. With so much being planned, it seems that the OTT platform is quite serious about expanding its customer base.

Instagram may offer monthly subscriptions priced at Rs 89

Instagram has, like many other social media platforms, become a space for creators to showcase their talent, and for audiences to enjoy practically unlimited content. Many platforms understand that their revenue is in synergy with the availability of creator-based content, and have already begun offering subscription models to help creators earn more in exchange for exclusive content. As a community-building exercise, and revenue model, this has proven to work. Now, Instagram is testing a similar feature and rumour has it, subscriptions will start at Rs 89. 

What will Instagram’s subscription include?

TechCrunch recently reported that Instagrams subscription offerings can be seen under the in-app purchases tab. The subscription gives audiences access to exclusive content, a badge that appears next to their name (so that their DMs and comments can be spotted faster by the creator), and, quite possibly, in-app alerts when new content is available. 

For creators, the app will give access to analytics that lets them see how much they are earning, along with whether memberships are about to expire for their audiences. Creators will also be able to see which members are active. 

While TechCrunch has reported that the subscriptions seem to start at Rs 89, it’s important to note that the final price may be different once the feature does roll out. Additionally, creators will be able to customise the cost of their subscriptions to their liking. Members can, of course, cancel their subscriptions any time.

This is the second feature that Instagram has begun working on to help creators monetise their content. The first is Instagram Badges, which allows followers to gift their favourite creator items during a live session. 

With platforms like Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, Clubhouse, Twitter, and others offering features to help creators earn more, it seems like Instagram is certainly trodding down the right path as far as its own growth is concerned.

Poco M4 Pro 5G launched in Europe with Dimensity 810

Poco M4 Pro 5G has officially launched in Europe and will soon make its way to other regions as well. The Poco M4 Pro is the successor to the Poco M3 Pro which launched in India back in June as a budget smartphone. It was the first 5G phone by Poco to launch in India and we expect the company to follow it up with the M4 Pro.

Poco M4 Pro 5G specifications and price

The Poco M4 Pro features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (1920x1080 pixels) resolution display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has a punch-hole notch cutout in the top-centre for the selfie camera and the screen is further topped with Gorilla Glass 3. The phone measures 8.8mm in thickness and weighs 195 grams.

The Poco M4 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip that has an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU which is paired with upto 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion as well.

It has dual cameras on the back with a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119-degree FOV. The rear cameras can record in 1080p at 60FPS and on the front, we get a 16MP selfie camera.

The Poco M4 Pro also has stereo speakers and the power button doubles up as a fingerprint reader. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging that Poco claims can top up the battery from 0-100% in 59 minutes.

The Poco M4 Pro is priced starting at EUR 229 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and EUR 249 for the 6GB+128GB storage. This pegs the starting price of the phone to be roughly around Rs 19,500 by direct conversion.
