OnePlus 9 RT India price tipped ahead of reported launch

OnePlus 9 RT was launched in China earlier in the year, and now there are reports that the phone will launch in India sooner than expected. As per the latest reports, not only will it be made available in India, but will also come to the country in the same name. However, there will be some changes to the device that comes to India, as the new phone will be available in two memory configurations. The report also adds that the phone could be launched in India at Rs 39,999.

The OnePlus 9 RT is a pretty interesting phone from the company, and in essence, is a flagship killer rather than a premium flagship. It comes with a flat 6.62 inch fluid AMOLED HD+ display with 120 Hz refresh rate and an interesting camera set-up.

It follows the OnePlus 9's cue when it comes to the design,  but the device crucially differs from the OnePlus 9 when it comes to the operating system. Apart from this, there's also a 50 megapixel Sony IMX main sensor with OIS. This is sat next to two other lenses -- 16 megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel mono sensor -- thereby completing a three-lens set-up at the back of the phone. Apart from this, there's a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the phone and a 4500 mAh battery with support for a 65W Warp Charge.

OnePlus 9 RT expected specs

The OnePlus 9RT comes with a flagship-level Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The latest OnePlus smartphone will also have up to 7GB of Virtual RAM boost allowing it to have 19GB of maximum RAM.  For improved cooling, the upcoming renamed OnePlus 9RT will feature a large vapour chamber thus keeping the smartphone temperature low during fast charging and heavy gameplay. There's also support for a host of connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, 4G LTE, NFC, etc.

WhatsApp has banned over 2 million accounts from the platform during the month of October

As the worlds most popular messaging service, WhatsApp also has one of the largest user bases on any app. With a wide and diverse userbase also comes unwanted messages, spam and the sort. So, to that end, WhatsApp has banned over 2 million accounts from the platform during the month of October. In fact, as we reported earlier, WhatsApp banned close to 2.2 million users in September. These users were banned for violating the chatting app’s security rules. With WhatsApp broadening its offerings into the payments industry, the brand has to weed out sketchy users to ensure the safety of everyone else using the platform.

WhatsApp has banned 2 million users in October

That means that the platform has banned over 4 million accounts in two months. Maybe that’s not how the metrics are measured but in terms of numbers, it does seem like the service has banned a gigantic number of users. In the latest transparency report from the company, we can see that WhatsApp has taken strict action against a number of users on the platform. WhatsApp has its own system to weed out abusive and harmful content.

WhatsApp has also asked users to send complaints and grievances to grievance_officer_wa@support.whatsapp.com. Whatsapp has recently been in the news for releasing many updates designed to enhance user privacy and overall convenience. It makes perfect sense for the platform to remove so many users (and to continue doing so) for the sake of growing its business globally.

Scientists have developed the worlds first living robots, bringing us one step closer to a sci-fi future

As if autonomous robots weren’t enough, scientists have now unveiled the worlds first living robots. What are living robots you ask? Living robots are essentially artificially created organisms that have the ability to reproduce and create more copies of themselves. And no, they’re not just clones that are replicating but are actually reproducing. Researchers have noticed that these living robots can jumpstart a bunch of single cells, building them into an approximation of the parent robot. Within a few days, these ‘offspring’ even start looking like their parents. It’s a breakthrough discovery that has major implications in the medical world and further.

New Xenobots are world's first living robots

What are 'living robots'?

Called a Xenobot, the organism is built using organic material and not the usual metal robots that we’re used to seeing in popular media. Although a nanobot swarm is somewhat similar to what these Xenobots can achieve. But, not to fear though, most of these robots will be used to clean microplastics and administer precise medication. These are but just a few uses of these Xenobots. The researchers also stated, “If we knew how to tell collections of cells to do what we wanted them to do, ultimately, that’s regenerative medicine — that’s the solution to traumatic injury, birth defects, cancer, and ageing. All of these different problems are here because we don’t know how to predict and control what groups of cells are going to build. Xenobots are a new platform for teaching us.”.

In terms of new medical technology, these Xenobots could change how we view modern medicine in terms of medication delivery and monitoring. It could also speed up healing in wounded patients and such. The applications of this kind of tech are limitless and if anything, the future is going to be rather strange and quite amazing.
