Asus ROG Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 gaming headphones launched in India
Asus is expanding its audio portfolio in India with the ROG Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 gaming cans. These two headphones will be packing a high-end ESS 9280 Quad DAC, AI Beamforming microphones for quelling the ambient noise, and a bunch of other treats to entice the gaming crowd.
Let’s break down the features one by one.
Asus ROG Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 Specs and FeaturesStarting off with the sound side of things, you get the ESS 9280 Quad DAC inside them that claims to be capable of transmitting lossless audio. Not only that, both the devices support virtual 7.1 surround sound.
And when it comes to listening, you get AI Beamforming mics on both Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 for noise cancellation. Asus says it creates a 40° acoustic zone wherein the background noises are prevented from hampering the user’s voice. Also, the accompanying AI Noise Cancelation algorithm should keep ambient noises at bay up to 95-percent.
Now if you fancy some shimmering lights on your headphone, then both of these sport AURA RGB lighting that can be customized using the brand’s Armoury Crate software. You can connect the headsets to PCs or chargers via USB-C and USB Type-A sockets.
Now among the two, the ROG Fusion II 500 comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a ‘Game Chat’ volume control slider on the ear cups for the volume of in-game audio as well as voice chat.
Asus ROG Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 Price and AvailabilityYou can purchase the Asus ROG Fusion II 500 and Fusion II 300 in India starting March 2022 from leading online stores, authorized Asus outlets, and partner brick and mortar stores. Samsung enters the Metaverse with its Galaxy Unpacked Event
South Korean technology giant Samsung announced that its upcoming ‘UNPACKED 2022’ event will be hosted in both the real world as well as in the Metaverse.
Samsung fans can watch the event at 837X, a virtual recreation of Samsung’s flagship store in New York City made with the virtual reality (VR) platform, Decentraland, which can be accessed via their desktops.
How to access the Samsung event? To visit 837X, users will first need to connect to Decentraland. Once online, their avatars will spawn right outside the store, from where they can enter the building and watch the event as it unfolds in real-time. The event will feature several quests, NFT prizes, product reveals, keynote addresses, as well as live performances.
However, while users can log in either as registered users or guests, the latter will be unable to enjoy the event fully, as they will not be able to collect NFTs or wearables.
Why is it significant?Samsung’s foray into the metaverse comes as a surprise since the company has paid little attention to VR in recent years, even though it was one of the first companies globally to venture into the world of Augmented as well as Virtual Reality when it released its Gear VR headset, a smartphone-based VR platform.
One of the more budget-friendly and therefore popular options for a VR headset, the company announced in December 2021 that it was planning to retire the same, and had no plans for a replacement.
When is it scheduled and what to expect? The event, scheduled for 8:30 PM IST on Wednesday, the 9th of February 2022, is a highly anticipated one. Samsung is expected to unveil the latest iteration of its flagship line of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The lineup is expected to include three devices – the Samsung Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22 Plus and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Furthermore, Samsung is also expected to unveil its flagship line of tablets – the S8 series. The S8 series is expected to include two tablets – the Samsung Galaxy S8 Tab and the Galaxy S8 Tab Ultra.

Poco M4 Pro India launch date set for February 15: Heres what to expect
Poco India has finally confirmed the launch date of the Poco M4 Pro to be February 15, 2022. And the announcement tweet reads, “Get ready to #StepUpUrGame with the all-new POCO M4 Pro 5G.” So, from this and the previous teasers by the brand, we know how the device looks, and that it will be coming with 5G support. And insofar as those small clips and images, we believe this would be the same Poco M4 Pro 5G as the global variant. As such, we expect it to bring Dimensity 810 SoC, a 90Hz FHD+ screen, and a 50MP main rear camera.
Here’s everything else we know about the device at the moment.
Poco M4 Pro Specs and Features (Expected)At the heart of it, you get a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM + UFS 2.2 storage. The underlying battery size is 5000mAh and is underpinned by 33W fast charging support.
It would be exciting for the Poco fans if they get to experience the latest MIUI 13 out of the box. Other goodies inside could include 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS with A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and microSD card expansion capability.
Coming to the cameras, you can expect dual cameras on the back including a 50MP leader and an 8MP 119° ultrawide shooter. You may get to record 1080P videos at 60FPS from the main camera and 30FPS from the selfie camera. By the way, at the front, the Poco M4 Pro could house a 16MP sensor. This would be sitting within a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate support, 450 cd/m2 of typical luminance, and Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection.
Poco M4 Pro 5G has already been listed on Flipkart and so know one store where it will be available. The expected colour options are the Poco signature Yellow, Black, and Blue. Anyway, when it launches, it is likely to vie against the likes of Realme 9i and Redmi Note 11T 5G.
