iQOO Z6 5G India launch officially confirmed tipped to come on March 16

iQOO is going to launch the iQOO Z5 successor aptly named the iQOO Z6 5G. Yes, it will be a 5G phone powered by Snapdragon 695 processor as confirmed by the company itself. It is also extolled as the “fastest” 5G smartphone in the 15 to 18K segment on Amazon India. So, we also know where it will be available. The missing detail though is when it will be launched which according to leakster Abhishek Yadav could be on March 16.

In a teaser video on the brand’s official YouTube channel, we do get to see the backside of the device in two colors viz. greyish black and light blue. Other things revealed thus far are its FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

By the way, the company has also floated a new landing page on its website but that doesn’t divulge anything at the time of writing this piece.

That said, from the rumor mill, we have gathered details like that this device may bring a 6.58-inch AMOLED panel and that it could be available in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB models.

Now from the teasers, the device resembles the Vivo T1 5G, not just in looks but also with respect to some of those aforementioned specs.

Here, take a look at the specifications of the Vivo phone and see what we are talking about.

Vivo T1 5G Specs and Features

Vivo T1 (review) 5G has got a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Internally, the phone is driven by a Snapdragon 695 5G SoC along with up to 8+128GB of memory option.

The rest of its offerings include a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support,  a 3.5mm jack, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, a 16MP front camera, and Android 11 based FunTouch OS 12 software.

Needless to say, iQOO may make changes to these ingredients to differentiate its product. Take, for instance, the use of an AMOLED screen type in place of an LCD.

We may learn what else the iQOO Z6 5G intends to bring in the days leading up to the launch. It is poised to come soon.

Poco X4 Pro 5G showcased in new promo video launch expected soon

Poco X4 Pro 5G saw the daylight alongside the Poco M4 Pro at MWC 2022 and although the latter has made its way to India, the former is yet to make its presence in the country. At least now it has shown up on one of the brand’s recent YouTube promo videos. Also, the keen eyes of leakster Abhishek Yadav have spotted March 22 as the date in one of the frames in the said video. So, he infers that could be the launch date of Poco X4 Pro 5G in India.

Here’s the image from the video that presents this date:

Source: Poco India YouTube | Spotted by @yabhishekhd (Twitter)

Besides that, we don’t have a piece of solid corroborative evidence to support this.

That said, the phone (with model number 2201116PI) is noted to have received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification which could be taken as a hint of its imminent arrival if you will.

Incidentally, Poco Watch with model number M2131W1 has also apparently got the same certification, which could mean that it may also be on its way to India. However, we hardly know anything about the watch at the moment.

As for the phone, since it’s available elsewhere, we kind of know what to expect from it in terms of its specifications. Here, have a look —

Poco X4 Pro 5G Specs and Features (Expected)

Poco X4 Pro 5G could come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display. Its front camera could be a 16MP selfie shooter. The back cameras might include a 108MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro clicker.

The innards may hold a Snapdragon 695 SoC, a 5000mAh battery (with 67W charging support), and multiple RAM+ROM combos.

The global variant is shipping with Android 11 based MIUI 13 but things might change with the Indian variant. We’ll know it once the launch happens and whence the company reveals the date for the same, you’ll be updated.

OnePlus 10 Pro India launch expected in the second last week of March: Report

OnePlus 10 Pro actually debuted in its home market earlier this year at a starting price of RMB 4699 (~₹54,500). Although it’s been a while since then, the phone is reportedly set to land in India soon. Not just ours, soon, the phone will be arriving in other global markets too. This was something the company itself confirmed during the MWC 2022 and now, active tipster on Twitter, Yogesh Brar, has predicted the OnePlus 10 Pro India launch date to fall sometime on March 22 or March 24. He adds that we could expect the teasers about the same to come up soon.

In a recent tweet, Mr. Brar says, “So now we’re done with the Apple, expect OnePlus to roll out teasers for the 10 Pro in the coming days with the launch planned for either 22nd or 24th march. Pricing looks good so far…”

Now when it does arrive, here’s what you can expect from the device:

OnePlus 10 Pro India Specs and Features

OnePlus 10 Pro is likely to come with a 6.7-inch 120Hz 2K LTPO 2 AMOLED with HDR10+, 10-bit colors, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

There would be a 32MP selfie camera and the ones at the back would be a 48+8+50MP setup. The hardware aside, these would mark the second iteration of Hasselblad tuning for the cameras.

The broader software treatment is expected to be Oxygen OS 12 based on Android 12. This would be slapped on top of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Being an upstate device, the memory configuration could also go big.

Powering all these would be a 5000 milliamp cell refueled by an 80W wired charger.

Those are the key highlights of the device.

By the way, the OnePlus 10 Pro has already received BIS and Bluetooth SIG certification. All that we are waiting for is the official date confirmation so that we can begin the countdown.

In the meantime, you can take a look at other news, reviews, features, buying guides, and everything else tech-related at Digit.in.

Xiaomi 12 5G and Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G press renders have surfaced ahead of Global Launch on March 15

Xiaomi 12 series which took birth back in December of last year is finally making its way to the global markets. The Xiaomi 12 5G and the Xiaomi12 Pro 5G are globally launching on March 15. And as it’s just days from now, we have come across new press renders, thanks to 91Mobiles, that share how the devices are similar yet with smattering differences in the design. Also, here, let’s revisit the specifications of the two devices’ Chinese edition.

Xiaomi 12 (China) Specs and Features

Xiaomi 12 has got a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen with a FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1100 nits brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. There is a central punch hole which is home to a 32MP selfie clicker. The back cameras, on the other side, are a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide snapper, and a 5MP telephoto macro module.

The processor at work is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, bolstered by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 4500mAh underpinned by a 67W fast charging.

The paraphernalia also comprise of an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos supported Harmon Kardon speakers, and 5G.

Xiaomi 12 Pro (China) Specs and Features

Xiaomi 12 Pro presents a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1500 nits brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has the same 32MP punch hole selfie camera as the above one.

However, by the back, there is a 50MP+50MP+50MP camera setup.

Similarly, even though the Snapdragon chip and memory types are same as the regular Xiaomi 12, the battery size is a tad bigger at 4600mAh but boasts way faster 120W charging support. The device also brings 5G, under display fingerprint reader, Dolby Atmos backed speakers.

The renders show the 5G branding on the back frame of both phones, which is the smattering design change referred in the beginning. Other than that, it looks identical to the Chinese editions.

Now, to know whether Xiaomi ships the same assortment of specs is something to be seen at the March 15 event. So, set your reminders for that.
