OnePlus 10R India launch confirmed to take place on April 28 with OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite

OnePlus has confirmed the phones it would be launching on April 28 are the OnePlus 10R 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. Now, the 10R would be coming to India a week later its debut in China. In its home market, the phone is being christened OnePlus Ace. In the promo images, the phone appears to have a squared-off design with three rear cameras arranged in an inverted triangle within a rather prominent camera panel. On the front, it could have a central punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. On the other hand, the Nord CE 2 Lite may sport a left-cornered punch hole. Let’s learn about the incumbent sensors and everything else we know about these two upcoming OnePlus smartphones. Leaked OnePlus Ace promo images that is expected to launch in India as OnePlus 10R

OnePlus 10R 5G may flaunt a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and FHD+ resolution. It may have a 16MP selfie shooter residing within a central hole punch. 

By the back, there may be a 50MP Sony IMX766 leading the pack which also consists of an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP sensor.

The innards may include a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip, up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 4500mAh battery supported by a high-speed 150W charging support.

This new Nord phone may feature a 6.58-inch FHD+ 120Hz IPS LCD display, a 16MP selfie camera, a 64MP+2MP+2MP rear camera, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, up to 8GB LPDDR4x, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. 

OnePlus Nord Buds (Expected)

The details about the Nord Buds are scanty but from the shared teasers, we figure the TWS could sport a half-in-ear form factor, silicone ear tips, and short stems. The earphone may bear a 41mAh battery and the case may be powered by a 480mAh battery. The latter may have a USB Type-C port for charging it up.

Realme TechLife split air conditioner launched in India with up to 15 Ton capacity

Realme has released a Split Air Conditioner in India under its TechLife ecosystem line of products. The new AC begins under ₹30,000 and multiple variants of it are available based on your requirement. The offered capacities are 1 Ton and 1.5 Ton. You can opt for both 4 stars and 5-star ratings of energy efficiency. Beyond these basic settings, Realme has added a good deal of features that you may want to know about. Let’s have a look at them.

Realme Air Conditioner Specs and Features

These new Realme ACs come with a 4-in-1 convertible design that allows you to adjust the cooling to 40%, 60%, 80%, and 110% of the capacity. Realme has termed these as follows:

Me time mode for one person - 0.9 ton,  We time mode for two people - 1.1 ton, Family time mode for 4 people - 1.3 ton, Party time for a small group of people - for running at the max capacity.

At the peak performance, you can expect it to run at up to 55℃.

Inside the AC, there is a variable-speed compressor with a copper coil. Realme claims “quick cooling, minimal power consumption, and extended compressor durability”. Speaking of durability, the coil is coated with Blue Fin's anti-corrosive element that is said to offer protection against water droplets, salt, and acid deposition. 

You also get an Auto Clean feature that throws air to remove water droplets and fend off moisture, mold and dust. Among other things, the Realme TechLife AC has got an environmental friendly R32 coolant, Stabiliser-free Operation (within 165~265V range) and a rather silent operation.

Oppo Reno 8 could come powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Processor, claims a new leak

Oppo Reno 8 series might be around the block as recently we have started hearing online chatter about it. The latest bit of news about the lineup is that the standard Reno 8 might wield a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. This has been tipped by the leakster Digital Chat Station (via Weibo). 

But, that’s not all. As per the same source, there may be MediaTek Dimensity-powered Reno 8 phone(s) too. So, here’s everything we have gathered about the upcoming Oppo Reno smartphones.

Oppo Reno 8 Specs and Features (Expected)

Oppo may ship with Reno 8 with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. This is said to be an upcoming 4nm octa-core Qualcomm chip with 4x Cortex A710 cores running at 2.36GHz and 4x Cortex A510 cores clocked at 1.80GHz frequency. It may feature an Adreno 662 GPU too.

The internals might also comprise LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging support.

Furthermore, we are being told that the Reno phone would also sport a 6.55-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, an in-display fingerprint reader, and a 32MP selfie snapper at the front. Meanwhile, by the back, there could be a 50MP (Sony IMX766) primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP token camera to complete the triple camera setup.

According to Digital Chat Station, the phone in question would apparently carry a PGAM10 model number.

However, there’s also mention of MediaTek Dimensity-driven phone(s) backed by MariSilicon X ISP for imaging capabilities. Now whether this is the top-end Dimensity 9000 or 8000-series chip is something not known at the moment. We will be keeping tabs on Reno 8 series rumors and leaks. So, stay tuned.

FIFA Plus launched as a streaming platform with free live matches, shows, the latest football news, and more

FIFA has introduced a new streaming platform called FIFA+ (or FIFA Plus). It will be available globally including in India, and you can access it on the web or through mobile apps on both iOS and Android. Search for FIFA+ on Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your device. At present, FIFA Plus is usable in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. Besides these 5 languages, more will be added over time.

The key proposition of the app is that it will stream over 40,000 live matches per year for free. This will consist of matches from “100 Member Associations across all six confederations, including 11,000 women’s matches”. To keep fans enthralled, there is a host of original content like a documentary film called ‘Ronaldinho: The Happiest Man in the World’, a 6-part documentary about Dani Alves called ‘Dani Crazy Dream’ and a lot more like this.

Then there is FIFA+ Archive which as the name suggests, is a library of more than 2,000 hours (2500 videos) of old but cherished football content. These will date back to 1950s and will include “full-match replays, highlights, goals, and magical moments”.

Next up, you also get to keep tabs across 400 men's competitions and 65 women's competitions within the FIFA+ Match Centre.

In the media release, the federation also notes that FIFA+ users will be entertained with “interactive games including votes, quizzes, fantasy games, and predictors”.

In an interview with the Variety, FIFA+ chief Charlotte Burr said, “We’ll be strategically extending — so we will be potentially going into gaming, social community, and potentially subscription depending on where this goes and where the industry disruption heads”.

Redmi 10A is launching in India on April 20: Here are the expected specifications

Redmi India has confirmed the launch date of Redmi 10A to be April 20, 2022. This new budget phone from the brand will be coming with modest hardware like MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, up to 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, HD+ LCD display, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie snapper. There will also be a fairly big 5000mAh battery in the casing. For the sub-₹10K price it is expected to come in, the phone is likely to have a polycarbonate chassis.

Redmi 10A Chinese variant

Redmi 10A could sport a 6.53-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, 400 nits of brightness, and a waterdrop notch. Within this, you may expect a 5MP camera for selfies. Flip to the other side and there you may find a 13MP solo camera. 

By the back, there could be a fingerprint scanner too. Unlocking the device, you may get MIUI 12.5 software. The Android version on the Chinese variant is Android 11. Still, let’s see if Redmi sticks to this for the Indian market.

The hardware under the hood may comprise of MediaTek Helio G25 chipset along with PowerVR8320 GPU. Other things you may get with the device are WiFi, Bluetooth, and a Micro-USB port.
