Call of Duty: Mobile India Challenge tournament announced, offers prize pool of 60 Lakh

Activision, has announced that it has partnered with with NODWIN Gaming to bring back the Call of Duty: Mobile India Challenge. The tournament will kick off from May 17, 2022 and will offer a total prize pool of Rs 60,00,000, which is the largest ever offered by the tournament. Aside from this, the tournament will also reward top-performing players with COD Points, which is the Call of Duty: Mobile’s premium in-game currency. Activision notes that over 370,000 COD Points, will be up for grabs.

Registrations for Call of Duty: Mobile India Challenge kicked off on May 7 and has a cap of 256 teams per qualifier. These teams will play single-elimination matches in Multiplayer and Battle Royale formats. The top eight teams from each qualifier in the Battle Royale format will move on to the grand finals. Meanwhile, the top four teams from each qualifier in the Multiplayer format would be a part of the grand finals. 

It should also be noted that the tournament will see registered teams compete in Battle Royale and Multiplayer formats across two seasons. Each season will feature two stages, this will include a qualifier finals and the grand finale.

Motorola calls Edge 30 as the World’s Thinnest 5G Smartphone thanks to its 6.79mm width and 155g heft. The Edge 30 5G is driven by a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC inside the phone. On top of it, you could get Android 12-based MyUX software, that could bring Moto’s signature stock-adjacent experience.

The panel on the Edge 30 is a pOLED display and sports a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and 1 billion color coverage. The front camera could be a 32MP sensor. 

The back camera panel contains a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. 

The innards of the device could consist of a 4,020 mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Google Pixel 6a is supposedly in private testing in India ahead of its likely debut at Google IO 2022 event

Google must be gearing up for the I/O 2022 which is going to take place on May 11-12. In this event, besides virtual demos and live/on-demand presentations, we are expecting to see the launch of Android 13 and insights into some Pixel hardware at least, if not the actual products. Pixel fans are anticipating a lineup that could include the Pixel 6a, Pixel Watch, Pixel Fold, and some changes to Stadia. Vivo X80 series is launching in India on May 18, 2022: Heres what to expect

Vivo India has started teasing the launch date of the Vivo X80 series, slated for May 18. There is a countdown timer on the company’s website with the “coming soon” intimation. Starting with the regular Vivo X80, you get a 6.78-inch, E5 AMOLED, FHD+, 120Hz screen with MEMC technology. There is a 32MP camera within a central punch hole cutout. OnePlus Nord 2T leaks in its full glory including live images, specs, and likely price

We have seen the leaked OnePlus Nord 2T renders and its rumoured specifications. In fact, the phone has been part of the online chatter going all the way to the beginning of this year. In a report marking the launch roadmap of OnePlus devices, we learned the Nord 2T could come in early May. And, as we are almost halfway through the month, the Nord 2T leaks are back again in full swing. The device appeared in an unboxing video by YouTuber Sahil Karoul. Incidentally, the new Nord is also currently listed on AliExpress France, disclosing its design renders, specs, price, in-box contents, and main features.

First, the AliExpress listing tells us the OnePlus Nord 2T will come with MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC, Android 12-based Oxygen OS 12.1 (for the global market), a 4500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging, 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera, a 50MP Sony IMX766 OIS+ 8MP ultrawide+ 2MP B&W triple rear camera setup, and a 6.43 Inch 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display. 

The listed price for Nord 2T 8+128GB model is $399 (around ~₹30,703). The site also reveals there will be a free OnePlus Bullets Z with the first 300 orders. Needless to say, this offer could be limited to select markets covered by AliExpress France.

Coming to the live images that you see above are from a recent video posted by YouTuber Sahil Karol who claims to have gotten his hands on the Nord 2T from a Dubai-based retailer. He unboxes the phone and shows the in-box contents like the 80W power adapter, USB-C cable, a silicone case, pre-applied screen protector, and other paperwork and stuff. 

Then, he goes on to talk about the phone’s aesthetics, the rear camera panel with dual flash, alert slider on the right side, Nano+Nano SIM card slot, 8/12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage options, and benchmark scores. He shows the Nord 2T Antutu scores to be 622964, Geekbench scores to be 719 (single-core) and 2760 (multi-core), and finally, the 3DMark Wildlife scores to be 4638.

The Nord 2T is also shown to have Widevine L1 certification for HD streaming on OTT platforms, and support for Smooth+ Extreme quality on PUBG Mobile. He mentions some performance hiccups in the gameplay and chalks it down to the underlying chipset and software not being rightly optimized.

So, we think only once the phone’s officially out and in the hands of reviewers and customers, we will be in a better position to judge the device.
