There have been plenty of reports about iQOO reportedly looking to launch the all-new iQOO 10-series phones. And now, a new leak about the series appears to have leaked major details about the most powerful device in the line-up. As per a new leak, the iQOO 10 Pro could come with 200W wired charging support, along with featuring some other high-end hardware.
The information comes courtesy of tipster Abhishek Yadav, who has also said the iQOO 10 Pro will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. If the news is indeed true, it would make the iQOO 10 Pro the fastest charging phone in the market, as other devices from Realme, Xiaomi, and OnePlus max out at 150W.
iQOO 10 Pro: Expected specifications
Over the past few days, there have been several reports about the iQOO 10 Pro. These leaks reveal that the iQOO 10 Pro will come with a 2K LTPO display supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will also have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner underneath for security. Under the hood, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, making it one of the fastest phones in the market.
The phone will also get an interesting set of cameras, with the iQOO 10 Pro coming with a 50MP primary rear camera for clicking pictures, along with other lenses. The iQOO 10 Pro is expected to pack a 4,700mAh battery. However, the most interesting feature about the device will be that it'll come with support for 200W fast charging and 60W/50W wireless charging.
Apart from this, we don't have more information about the phone. But we're sure that's going to change in the coming months as we get closer to the launch of the iQOO 10 series.
Apple announced the iOS 16 at WWDC 2022 and currently the developer preview of the iPhone software is available. However, for a more stable release, you will have to wait for the iOS 16 Public Beta which will come out in July. This new iOS version is supported by iPhone 8 and above models. It brings a host of new things, some very apparent while others not so much. Here, we will be going through the top iOS 16 features that we think will be appreciated by most iPhone users.
Best iOS 16 Features
1. Lock screen widgets and customization: iOS 16 lets you personalize your iPhone lock screen with new widgets (for music, live activities like sports scores, weather alerts, cab navigation routes, etc.) and the ability to edit the font, colors, wallpaper, and overall look of the first screen you view upon turning your screen on. You can also have multiple themed lock screens for your different moods.
2. Passkeys and passwordless login: You can use Passkeys on iOS 16 to safely log in to apps and websites with Touch ID or Face ID and use the same across Apple and Non-Apple devices to sign in each time. A password-less future as the FIDO alliance envisions.
3. Overhauled Notifications: iOS 16 brings a better organized (stacked, hidden, and expanded list view modes) and better-integrated notifications system with Focus Modes on iPhones. The notifications now appear from the bottom of the lock screen.
4. Message: iMessages on iOS 16 allows editing typos, recalling recently sent messages, recovering deleted messages, SharePlaying, etc.
5. The other important iOS 16 features comprise Remind Later/Schedule/Follow Up/ Undo send on Mail app, iCloud Shared Photos Library with family and friends with equal edit rights, Shared Tab Groups on Safari, Live Text for videos, remove image backgrounds, Apple Pay Later with a four-month over six weeks installment option, revamped Home app with Matter support, Medication tracker on Health app, fitness tracking on Fitness app even for those without Apple Watch, greater Parental Controls, an option to report domestic violence through Safety Check feature, and the option to view WiFi passwords, among other things. We shall be digging in to identify more hidden iOS 16 features and perhaps even create a follow-up post to this.

As reported by WABetaInfo in a recent post, WhatsApp is developing a "Double Verification Code" feature, which will prompt the user to enter a second verification code when trying to log into your WhatsApp account from another smartphone. This would be in addition to the already existing one-step verification process that's currently in place.
WhatsApp is constantly working on ways to improve the privacy and security of its app. We've already got the ability to customize our privacy settings, be able to exclude specific people from seeing our information and more.
How does the WhatsApp Double Verification Code feature work?
How it works is, that once you've successfully entered the first verification code after you attempt to log into WhatsApp on a different smartphone, you will then have to enter a second verification code which will be sent to your phone number. A pop-up will appear which will inform users about the second verification code as shown in the image below.
The purpose of this added verification is to prevent strangers from logging into or hacking into your account. The development of this new feature doesn't come as a surprise considering the recent WhatsApp scam that occurred last year, where people were tricked by hackers into sharing their verification codes. The second verification should potentially put an end to this and is a step in the right direction.
The addition of this feature will make WhatsApp the first instant messaging app to support this feature and should work as a solution to prevent the stealing of accounts. However, the WhatsApp Double Verification Feature is still currently in development, and there is no word yet on when the feature will actually roll out. It may take some time yet to reach beta users, and longer still to reach the general public. The feature is expected to roll out for both Android and iOS.
Apple’s WWDC (World-Wide Developers Conference) 2022 is underway where we got a preview of the upcoming iOS 16, macOS Ventura, iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9. Apple also unveiled a redesigned MacBook Air and refreshed the 13-inch MacBook Pro, both powered by the new M2 chip. Here’s everything you need to know about iOS 16, macOS Ventura, iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9.
iOS 16 arrives with new multimedia and sharing features
The iOS 16 update that’s set to arrive later this year brings tons of new features such as lock screen customizations, iCloud shared photo library, live text for videos and visual look up, to name a few.
In iOS 16 now users can customize their lock screen with widgets like events, weather, alarms, activity ring progress and more. There’s an option to change the typeface and colours of the date and time on the lock screen. Users will also be able to check real-time activities such as the game scores, food delivery status and more. Apple has also changed how notifications appear on the lock screen which is now at the bottom and can be rolled up with just a flick.
Apple is introducing the iCloud Shared Photo Library which allows upto six users to collaborate in the same photo library. This way, everyone in the family or a group of friends can have all the pictures from multiple iPhones in a single place. Every user who has access to this Shared Photo Library will be able to add, delete and edit photos and videos and this feature also has a toggle in the camera app so all photos and videos will automatically be uploaded to the shared library.
The Live Text feature that can detect text in images is now expanding to also include videos. Users will now be able to pause a video and copy the text shown in a video. A new feature called Visual Look Up allows users to copy the subject of a picture separate from the background and use it in messages. It can identify animals, birds, insects and statues.
macOS Ventura brings new productivity tools, Continuity Camera and more
The next version of macOS is called Ventura which brings new productivity and multi-tasking features along with Continuity Camera which lets you use your iPhone as the webcam. With Ventura, macOS is introducing Stage Manager which lets you switch between multiple apps and windows effortlessly. It automatically organizes open windows in a stack on the left side and users can also group multiple windows together.
With the Continuity Camera, macOS can now recognize an iPhone nearby and connect to it wirelessly as a webcam for your MacBook. It also brings features like Centre Stage, Portrait mode and Studio Light to your webcam. Additionally, Continuity Camera uses the ultra-wide camera on the iPhone to show a Desk Video and the user’s face at the same time which will come in handy for collaborative projects.
The FaceTime app now gets the Handoff feature which means you can now start a call on your iPhone and continue it on your MacBook nearby. The macOS Ventura is also bringing Passkeys which are encrypted digital kets that use TouchID or FaceID for biometric authentication instead of passwords. Users can sign in to websites, apps and more across Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and non-Apple devices as well.
Apple also revealed three upcoming AAA titles to Mac and iPad powered by the Metal 3 graphics framework including EA’s Grid Legends, Resident Evil Village and No Man’s Sky.
iPadOS 16 gets Stage Manager, Freeform canvas app and new Pro features
The iPadOS 16 gets Stage Manager expanding the ways you can multitask on an iPad along with support for a full external display of upto 6K resolution. A new collaborative app called Freeform debuts with iPadOS 16 giving users a blank canvas to put their thoughts in a single place and letting others edit and build those thoughts in real-time. The iPad is also getting a dedicated weather app with striking animations and details like precipitation levels, air quality index and more.
With the iPadOS 16, the iPad Pro can be used as a reference monitor for colour grading in the dedicated Reference Mode which matches the accurate colour requirements in professional workflows. Next up is a Display Zoom feature that allows the display to increase its pixel density and view more elements in an app, like when multitasking using Split View.
watchOS 9 adds new watch faces and improved fitness, sleep and heart health tracking
Apple also previewed the next-generation watchOS 9 which brings four new watch faces for Apple Watch users. The Workout app has been updated to provide advanced metrics and training exercises inspired by professional athletes. Moreover, it adds sleep stage monitoring to the Sleep app and offers deeper insights into a user’s sleeping habits.

Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, Zee5, and SonyLIV are the most prominent players in the OTT space in India. All these services have had significant price cuts in the last couple of years to aid their growth. However, this has left Indian consumers with a problem of plenty, which was compounded after the announcement of the Netflix ₹199 Plan. We will take a look at the offerings from all the above-listed services, helping you choose the perfect plan according to your needs and budget.
OTT subscription dilemma – What to pick?
Starting with the Netflix offering, as it stirred up this chatter, this is the second-lowest Netflix offering. In the ₹199 Plan, the resolution is capped at 480p, and the viewing is locked to only one device at a time, with login support for all device types. The downloads are also restricted to only one device too.
Next is the Prime Video ₹179 per month membership. This is the only one of the lot that has gotten a price increase. In 2021, Amazon upped the price of their plans. The place where this subscription holds the upper hand is the simultaneous screen activity and resolution. The max resolution is up to 4K, and there is support for simultaneous viewing on up to 4 screens. This membership comes with a lot of other perks, including free shipping on Amazon, access to Prime Music, etc.
The Disney+Hotstar membership plan, which also saw some changes in 2021, comes in at ₹299 per month. This plan, which is only available for subscription right now using a web browser on a computer, comes with access to the platform’s library of premium content, with 4K streaming on four devices simultaneously. On SonyLIV, the least expensive plan is priced at ₹299. In this plan, the concurrent viewing count is locked on one screen. Get ready for some unpleasant waits, though, as there are only a select few pieces of content available ad-free.
Lastly, we come to Zee5. There is no monthly plan here. They offer only three or twelve-month subscription bundles. With the cheaper one of the two, which is the three-month plan, at ₹399, there’s support for two concurrent screen streaming, with resolution topping off at 1080p and download support only on the mobile app.
Apple just held its WWDC event last night and announced a bunch of new products as well as a few software updates. In fact, Apple officially launched the new MacBook Air 2022 and it is the first laptop to be powered by the new M2 chip. Software updates were also announced with iOS 16 taking the top spot. Apple showed off a bunch of new features on iOS 16 including an overhaul of CarPlay, Live Texting and more. The company also showed off new features and improvements on the Apple Watch including new watch faces and new running metrics.
Twitter reacts to Apple's WWDC 2022 announcements
The true star of the show was the M2 chip though. As mentioned above, the M2 powers the new MacBook line including the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
