Jio Phone 5G expected to be the cheapest 5G phone in India: Heres how much it could cost

Reliance at its AGM 2022 announced its partnership with Google for ultra-affordable 5G phones. In line with that, the forthcoming Jio Phone 5G could come between ₹8000 and ₹12000 in India. A fresh report from Counterpoint Research tells us that the Jio Phone 5G at a sub-12K price range could be the cheapest of its kind in the market.

Here’s what we know so far about the phone.

Jio Phone 5G could come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display on the front. The selfie camera could have an 8MP sensor. The rear camera setup, meanwhile, could comprise a 13MP primary shooter and a 2MP companion.

Under the hood, the Jio 5G phone could house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. There could be microSD card support too.

The partnership with Google on the software side could extend to this phone also. That means you could get Pragati OS with stripped-down Google Apps and Jio app suite.

Last but not least, the battery powering all this could be a 5000mAh cell capable of charging up at 18W speed.

In its report, Counterpoint states, “at some point in 2024, Jio will also be compelled to launch an affordable 5G mmWave + sub-6GHz smartphone as the cost deltas between the two have narrowed significantly from the overall BoM (bill of materials) fitting perspective.”

And to reiterate, the Jio Phone 5G could come under the ₹12,000 bracket, if rumors are to be believed.

That’s all we know for now.

NVIDIA releases patch for frame rate and stuttering problems after Windows 11 2022 Update: How to get the fix

Following complaints from users of gaming PCs about lower frame rates, stuttering, among others after the release of the Windows 11 2022 Update, graphics chip giant NVIDIA has acknowledged the problem and released a fix for the issues, which is now available in beta.

According to Windows Central, the graphics chip manufacturer plans to ship an update to everyone as soon as possible.

"Some users may observe lower performance in games or applications after updating to Microsoft Windows 11 2022 Update," according to the NVIDIA support page.

The solution is to install NVIDIA GeForce Experience v.3.26 beta. To receive the updated experience, PC owners can either download it from NVIDIA or update it through the Settings section of the GeForce Experience app.

The beta version of the update became available on September 25. The graphics chip manufacturer expects the non-beta update to ship on September 26 with a new GeForce Game Ready Driver.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA recently unveiled the GeForce RTX 40 Series of GPUs designed to deliver extreme performance for gamers and creators, led by its new flagship -- RTX 4090 GPU.

The RTX 40 Series delivers massive generational leaps in performance and efficiency and represents a new era of real-time ray tracing and neural rendering, which uses AI to generate pixels.

iOS 16 Cinematic Mode videos arent being recognized by video editors: Heres why

A new bug in iOS 16 is reportedly hampering videos recorded in Cinematic Mode, which are no longer recognised by free video editor iMovie and video editing tool 'Final Cut Pro'.

The users reported the problem on Apple Support forums and Reddit.

They said that video editors iMovie and Final Cut Pro "can no longer open Cinematic videos recorded with an iPhone running iOS 16," reports 9to5Mac.

"It seems that iOS 16 broke this feature in FCP, which will show a "The cinematic effect cannot be activated' error," said a Final Cut Pro user.

Another user posted that the errors are also experienced when using iMovie.

The tech giant was yet to acknowledge the new bug and release a software update to fix it.

Some users suggested a workaround, like first edit Cinematic videos on the iPhone and then share to the Mac over AirDrop.

With Cinematic Mode, your iPhone 13 camera can record videos with a shallow depth of field and add beautiful focus transitions for a cinema-grade look.

Cinematic mode works by capturing a depth map of the video as it's being filmed.

In new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, Cinematic Mode is available in 4K at 30 frames per second (fps) and 4K at 24 fps, along with Pro-level workflows for video, including ProRes and end-to-end Dolby Vision HDR.
