Call of Duty: Warzone 20 trailer delivers a new dose of American Freedom, whether you like it or not

Activision has been on a roll lately and it looks like the momentum is going to continue with the much-awaited Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. We’ve got a new trailer for the battle royale title that is a healthy, red-blooded dose of freedom in the best way possible. You’ve got Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird blaring in the background while America does what America does best, laying waste to smaller, nameless middle eastern nations, in this case, a new map called Al Mazrah. As expected, the game comes with a few new modes and features and will feature locations from older Warzone titles along with a 2v2 Gular mode.

Call of Duty #Warzone2 is almost here and it's FREE as a  Experience the massive Battle Royale, the all-new DMZ mode, and so much more on November 16  pic.twitter.com/ilV6c5CRcm

— Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) November 14, 2022

The game is also available for pre-load and will be playable tomorrow. It also comes with new features including an interrogation mode for squad-based gameplay. One could say that this is the modern, more PC version of the infamous teabag but with the reward of actually extracting some useful information. Another feature to make its way to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is the gas circle. Essentially what this means is that three gas circles will appear randomly on a map and players must navigate around them. This will force players to adjust to new strategies and tactics.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 out tomorrow

Its biggest addition to the game is the introduction of a DMZ mode in which players will be dropped into an open world with a “narrative-focused” extraction mission. Players will be able to fight by themselves or team up with others to achieve the mission. AI enemies will also be present but we assume that other players will be the main enemy in this mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is now available for pre-loading right now and will be playable tomorrow.

Apple search engine to take on Googles but it may take some time: Report

Apple is currently paying around $20 billion per year to Google for its search engine. The Cupertino-giant might hence want to come up with an in-house alternative to save that cost. Well, The Information reports that the company is working on its own search engine with help of IPs from Laserlike, a startup the company had bought a while back. So, it’s a product that’s been a long time coming. But, as you’d guess, the road to a Google-rivaling search engine may not be that smooth.

Here’s what the report tells us about Apple's search engine efforts:

Apple Search Engine with “capabilities that might compete for head-on with Google”

Apple Search Engine

Search engines play a vital role in the way people use the internet and if you control that (to whatever extent possible), that’s a lot of data insights into user behavior, ad revenue, and power, of course.

So, why would Apple miss out on that, with the money and might it has?

Well, it wouldn’t. The only problem is that this is going to be a mammoth task.

Google Search Engine

A major step by Apple towards this uphill journey dates back to 2018 when it acquired Laserlike, an AI startup involved in web search and discovery personalization. Interestingly enough, the venture was co-founded by Googlers. So that is very likely Apple’s interest in this investment.

However, all those three Laserlike founders have since returned to Google and as The Information puts it, this could very well be “a potential blow” to Apple’s intentions. Thus, the Apple search engine may not be here before 2026.

In any case, Apple must be aiming to employ the intellect and efforts for not just a search engine but also for enhancing Siri, Spotlight, and App Store search results — all things Apple users would appreciate.

Vivo TWS 3 and TWS 3 Pros renders surface online, to release later this month with X90 series

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is about to release the X90 series this month. Although the company recently confirmed the launch of the Vivo X90 series, rumours and reports around it had been circulating on the internet for a while. Now from one such source, we have learned that along with the new smartphone series, Vivo will also reveal two new audio products.

Vivo TWS 3 and TWS 3 Pro to launch soon

They are called Vivo TWS 3 and Vivo TWS 3 Pro and will come as the company's next generation of truly wireless earphones. Ahead of the official launch, MySmartPrice has managed to get its hands on the renders of the TWS earphones in collaboration with Indian tipster Ishan Agarwal.

First, let's talk about the Vivo TWS 3. The wireless earbuds will come as the successor to the Vivo TWS 2, released in 2021, in two different colours, including White and Blue. While the blue variant will have a matte finish, the white variant will come with a glossy finish.

As seen in the renders, the in-ear style earbuds look like the AirPods Pro by Apple, as they have a similar short stem and oval housing. The charging case of the earbuds has a green LED indicator for the battery. However, this is the extent of information available about the Vivo TWS 3.

The second product, i.e., Vivo TWS 3 Pro, will come in two colours - white and a combination of blue and black. The Vivo TWS 3 Pro looks similar to the TWS 3 in terms of design and the shape of the charging case. Apart from this, there is no information about the specifications of the earbuds. Although, it could be safe to speculate that the TWS 3 Pro will feature active noise cancellation as it carries the Pro moniker in its name.

Canva can now create images based on text prompts through Stable Diffusion integration

Popular content creation platform Canva has integrated Stable Diffusion's text-to-image model and will now enable users to generate images by typing text-based commands. Canva's text-to-image tool works in a manner that asks users to describe the image they want to see with prompts.

Canva has a new text-to-image tool

We tried creating some photos with Canva's text-to-image tool, and the results were impressive. The image showcased above is what the platform generated upon typing "dog riding a cycle." The feature is under development. Hence, users can expect the results to get better with time.

The new Text-to-Image will be available to Canva's over 100 million users, allowing them to convert their imagination into images as they type a text-based description of their images. To try it, users should open Canva’s website, create a design, and click on more in the menu towards their left. Then, they should locate the Text-to-Image tool and start by typing in the description of their image and selecting the type of image they wish to generate.

While Canva allows users to generate new images using text-to-speech AI developed by Stable Diffusion, it also enables users to report images that might contain violence, hate speech, nudity or other inappropriate content.

For instance, a sample prompt on the platform reads, "a light watercolour painting of koi fish in a pond." Additionally, users can choose from various styles, including photo, drawing, 3D, painting and pattern. With the tool, Canva will offer users 100 images per day.

Canva co-founder says that the tool is "still being developed"

In an interview with The Verge, Canva's co-founder and chief product officer Cameron Adams said, "we're treating this as very much a learning experience for our community." Adding to it, Adams mentions that "we're keen to get this technology in front of them because it's an emergent field, and the exact way it works and how customers will interact with it is still being developed."

Google Pixel Fold renders are out along with key camera specs: Check out details here

The renders of the long-rumored Google foldable, expected to be christened as Pixel Fold, have finally shaped up. Thanks to Jon Prosser of FrontPageTech, we now have a fair idea of what this device could look like. It has design inspirations from the Pixel 7 series but is very much distinct in its own ways. Some of those variations from the Pixel 7 design language seem to be because of the larger (and also folding) footprint of the “Pixel Fold”. Here’s what I mean:

Google Pixel Fold renders: A familiar yet distinct design

Google Pixel Fold

One of the signature design elements of the Pixel 7 series is the long and pronounced visor on the back which blends in with the metallic side frame. On the back of the Pixel Fold, we do get a protruding camera panel but it is more of an island than an extended visor.

There appear to be three sensors as part of the rear camera setup, though the underlying sensor details are still secret. Mr. Prosser has, however, claimed the front punch-hole camera and the inner screen camera are both 9.5MP sensors.

That inner screen camera is sitting within the top bezel and speaking of which, the main display is surrounded by noticeable borders.

Moving from the optics and the screen to sound, the device is said to house dual speakers, positioned one on the top and the other on the bottom.

In the renders, we also see some buttons on the right side, which are apparently the volume rockers and a power key cum fingerprint reader.

That’s about all Prosser reveals from a design and specs standpoint.

Google Pixel Fold: Price and availability (Expected)

Google Pixel Fold

Google is rumored to launch the Pixel Fold in May of 2023, priced at around $1,799 (~₹1,45,656). That’s a lot of commas between numbers. We hope the device is worth it.
