Apple launch timelines for mixed-reality headset and other products have been tipped: Gurman

After nearly seven years of development, Apple may just be close to launching its upcoming mixed-reality headset. Until a while ago, Apple had planned to launch the device in January 2023, but this has been delayed to June. Now, the mixed-reality headset may be launched at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

Apple Reality Pro launch details

Apple Reality Pro launch

Rumours indicate that Apple has already given the device to high-profile software developers for them to test and work on third-party apps that can be compatible. The operating system that the Apple Reality Pro uses is known as xrOS and is referred to as Borealis within the company.

It is believed that the Apple Reality Pro will be introduced to customers and developers in June. Based on this, the product may go into shipping sometime in August/September of 2023. The Reality Pro has had a few software and hardware kinks which is why the company has pulled in resources from other departments. This has led to speculation that the Apple Reality Pro will be the major launch from the brand this year. Having said that, the company will also be launching this year’s iPhone lineup - the Apple iPhone 15 - and the Macbook lineup in early 2023.

What about the Apple iPad and Apple Watch?

The Apple iPad is less likely to see a major update this year. We may see new updates on the Apple iPad sometime in early 2024 - it is believed that the brand will be replacing the displays with OLED displays. The Apple Watch hardware won’t see a major update either. We may see some minor performance improvements instead.

CES 2023: The Accsoon SeeMo lets you use iPhone or iPad as viewfinder and storage device for DSLR

We saw a bunch of cool tech unveiled at the CES 2023, with many geared towards high-end consumers ready to transform their lives with futuristic tech. Now, one of the offerings that really stood out for us is the Accsoon SeeMo, a gadget that has been designed for creators so that they can have a more productive shooting experience.

What is the Accsoon SeeMo?

Accsoon SeeMo

The Accsoon SeeMo is a device that allows you to mount an Apple iPhone or iPad on your primary camera (such as a DSLR) and use the former as a display to see whether you’re in the frame, and what the output looks like.

This can be really useful for those who rely on the flip-out LCD screens and don’t have a second person directing them during the shoot. The idea is that you won’t have to buy a specialised monitor and can save money by just using an existing Apple iPad or iPhone. You only need an HDMI cable to connect the device with your camera.

Another appealing feature of this device is that you don’t need to use the camera’s SD card to save the recordings. They can, instead, be saved directly onto the Apple iPad or iPhone. You can then airdrop the raw files onto your Macbook and start editing.

The Accsoon SeeMo price is $179 which is around ₹14,736.90. It is available for purchase now.
