Apple AirPods are on significant discounts in ongoing Amazon and Flipkart sale

The biggest e-commerce platforms in India, Amazon and Flipkart are back with the season sale which offers tons of electronic products like phones, TVs, headsets, gaming accessories and much more at decent prices. One of the products which are available on the e-commerce websites with a decent discount is Apple AirPods. The first Apple AirPods was launched in 2016 along with iPhone 7 and now it has three generations so far.

Apple Airpods on Flipkart

Now Flipkart is offering discounts on all three generations of Apple AirPods. Apple AirPods are available on Flipkart at ₹11,999 after a 36% instant discount. The original price of Apple AirPods is ₹18,900. 

The Apple AirPods 2nd Gen is available on Flipkart with an instant discount of 34%. It is priced at ₹9,499 on Flipkart. The original price of AirPods 2 Gen is ₹14,100.

AirPods 3rd Gen, the latest AirPods by Apple is also available on Flipkart and you can buy them at ₹19,110. However, the price of AirPods 3rd Gen has not dropped much as compared to the other AirPods. The original price of Apple AirPods 3rd Gen is 19,900.

Along with the instant discount on Flipkart, there are bank offers also available. ICICI and Citibank are offering a 10% discount of up to ₹1,500 off on all the AirPods variants on their credit cards. 

Apple AirPods on Amazon:

Amazon has only one generation in its Republic Day sale and that is Apple AirPods 3rd Gen. Apple AirPods 3rd Gen can be bought from Amazon at an effective price of ₹17,499. Amazon has offered a 15% off on AirPods 3rd Gen. Along with that it also has an SBI credit card offer which can give you a discount of up to ₹1,500.

Apple could reportedly share the microLED love with iPhones and other products

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to use its own microLED displays in the Apple iPhone, iPad, and Mac, after first showcasing the technology in the Apple Watch Ultra. The new Apple Watch Ultra, which will be equipped with a microLED display, is slated to launch at the end of 2024. 

MicroLED displays: What’s the fuss about? 

The latest edition of the Power On newsletter carries a post where Gurman has explained that Apple has been working on the microLED technology for almost six years. This will be the first custom-designed display offered by the company, the same way the Apple Silicon will be its first custom-designed chipset. It is speculated that the microLED display will make its debut with the new Apple Watch Ultra. 

According to Gurman, Apple began working on its microLED project, known as T159, in 2017. This display is claimed to offer better colour reproduction, more brightness, and better viewing angles, which should make it look as though the images are painted on the display glass. With this, Apple intends to replace the displays it sources from Samsung and LG. 

We may see these displays in all Apple products

Once the microLED display makes its debut with the Apple Watch Ultra (2024), it may also make its way to the iPhone, iPad and Mac afterwards. The idea, he believes, is to make the display an offering that comes with all Apple products. However, the technology itself is quite complex and it may take as much as a decade for it to make its way to the Mac. The Apple iPhone may be the first to get this technology (after the Apple Watch), followed by the iPad.

Oppo Reno 8T, Oppo Reno 10, and Oppo F23 launch timelines have been tipped

Oppo is gearing up to launch a few new smartphones in India and has already confirmed the launch of the Oppo A58 5G, which will be its mid-range offering. As per a post published by MySmartPrice, the launch timelines of three new Oppo smartphones, namely the Oppo Reno 8T, Oppo Reno 10 and Oppo F23 have been revealed. 

What are the launch dates of the Oppo Reno 8T, Oppo Reno 10, and Oppo F23?

The Oppo Reno 8T is claimed to launch around the first week of February, according to Mukul Sharma. He also revealed that the smartphone will offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may also have an AMOLED display, 67W fast charging support, and a Snapdragon 695 SoC. The premium smartphone is likely to be priced at around ₹32,000. 

The Oppo F23 is believed to launch in March. As of now, there are no additional details about the specifications or price of the Oppo F23. 

Finally, the Oppo Reno 10 is going to launch in either April or May this year. We won’t see the Oppo Reno 9 in India, therefore, the Oppo Reno 10 is being considered the official successor to the Oppo Reno 8 series in India. 

Is the Oppo Reno 8T being launched as the Oppo F23 in India?

Some time back, we had talked about the alleged specifications of the Oppo Reno 8T, and the fact that it may be launched as the Oppo F23 in India. However, since tipster Mukul Sharma has indicated separate launch dates, these smartphones are likely to not be the same thing with different names.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 could come with a better hinge and much obscure crease: Report

However, new foldable smartphones released by Chinese companies have highlighted the scope of improvement for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, as far as the design is concerned. It is believed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will address the design flaw.

A report published on Naver, which is a Korean publication, indicates that Samsung has created a waterdrop–shaped hinge in the upcoming folding smartphone. This means that the smartphone will be able to fold completely flat, something it hasn’t been able to do so far. The inner screen will end up looking flatter and have a crease that is less visible. This is a major change that most fans of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold smartphones have been asking for. 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will still be water-resistant!

Much like its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 could also come with an IPX8 rating. However, it may not be dust resistant. 

This waterdrop hinge design has been called ‘dumbbell’ and it was patented by the brand all the way back in 2016. Clearly, Samsung had a long-term view of how the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series will continue to develop as time goes on.
