The Sound Diffusion Processor in SRS-XB100 ensures that sound is evenly spread in all directions. If you connect two speakers, it allows you to create a stereo sound experience.

Talking about the battery life, the speaker is packed with up to 16 hours of battery life and a battery indicator which is quite needed in portable speakers with easy charging through USB Type-C port.

Sony SRS-XB100

The Sony SRS-XB100 comes with quite an impressive design. Big portable speakers are difficult to carry but the problem with compact speakers is that they don’t provide good audio quality. However, you can put the Sony SRS-XB100 in the cup holder of your car, so it solves the size problem. In addition to that, the price of Sony SRS-XB100 is also pretty decent for a portable speaker.

Boat reveals Smart Ring wearable device, will it rule the market

Boat has just confirmed a new product in the market which is called Smart Ring. You can get the idea from the name as it is actually a ring which can track your health and fitness just like smartwatches. Many people like to wear rings and not watches so in that case it can be a helpful device to track your health status. The smart ring is built with 5 ATM water and sweat resistance which means it's good to wear daily or during any physical activity.

The Boat Smart Ring comes with ceramic and metal body and here are the features:

The Smart Ring doesn't seem inferior to smartwatches as it does everything a smartwatch can. It can track your steps, distance and calories burned on a daily basis. It also monitors your heart rate which can help you in ensuring heart health during physical activity.

It also tracks the sleep cycle and menstrual cycle. Additionally, the smartring can also monitor body temperature and SpO2 level of the body.

It features Smart Touch Controls that allows you to use the smartring single-handedly. He smartring syncs with the Boat Ring App and gives you all the analytics and information of your body.

Boat Smart Ring

As per my opinion, the Boat Smart Ring could be a cool concept as I personally don’t like to wear a wrist-watch because some people feel uncomfortable due to its comparatively larger weight and dimensions, makes you feel that your wrist is tied with something. Apart from that, Boat is not the first brand to roll out this product, as Oura firstly launched the concept of smart rings as tinier wearable devices. To compare them we just have to wait for Boat’s smart ring to arrive in India.

Samsung Galaxy Rings in the advanced stage: Will it take on Oura or be something more

Samsung is reportedly working on an Oura ring alternative called the Galaxy Ring as per the South Korean news outlet The Elec. It is believed to be in the “advanced stage” which means it shouldn’t be long before we get to see the Samsung Galaxy Ring in the flesh. This isn’t the first time we are hearing about this device. Let’s take you through everything we know so far and see if it will be just a wearable device to track health and fitness or if it will be something more.

Samsung Galaxy Ring: An Oura ring competitor?

The thing with big companies like Samsung is that they have the resources and R&D capabilities to bring a new product or feature inspired by a prevailing small player. If successfully played out, this could put the third-party player in danger.

In Apple land, this is called Sherlocking. Samsung also has come up with Galaxy SmartTag as a Tiles alternative.

Now, it seems the South Korean tech titan is eyeing Oura and its smart rings. You wear an Oura ring on your finger like you do with a regular ring, and this thing tracks your sleep, heart rate, and other health stats. It is aimed to help the user improve sleep quality and overall health.

The Elec claims Samsung would go ahead with the production only if the prototypes meet quality standards in terms of design (fitness, comfort, and longevity), tracking accuracy, and power efficiency.

The company should also come up with some unique features to gain a competitive advantage.

Samsung must be working towards all of these things as it would want to capture a pie out of the $747.41 million market share. This is estimated to grow over 25% per year.

So, to excite prospective buyers, Samsung could have something more than health and fitness.

Samsung Galaxy Ring: Headset controller?

Samsung Galaxy Rings

Samsung has announced that it's working on an AR/VR headset in partnership with Google and Qualcomm. The Galaxy Ring could be used as a controller to detect hand gestures for the XR headset. The company has apparently filed a patent for the same. So, let’s see if this Galaxy Ring, in fact, brings this capability. In time, we’ll know.

Update: The wearable could also be called Galaxy Pulse.

Oppo only made two changes in Reno 10 when compared to its predecessor. It changed the processor from the Snapdragon 778G to the Dimensity 7050 which is a drop in performance as the Dimensity 7050 is a slightly slower processor than the Snapdragon 778G. But then Oppo improved the camera in this generation as it has added a 32-megapixel 2X telephoto sensor to the series. I would anyway choose performance over photography, what will you choose? Apple GPT is iPhone makers big push into generative AI space

Apple is reportedly working on its own large language model (LLM), feeling left out in the growing AI environment. People are calling it "Apple GPT". According to Bloomberg, the company has made the framework for creating LLMs, very much like the core technology behind generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Bard and Bing. Although it is unclear whether this LLM will come out in public or not. An announcement regarding Apple’s AI LLM could come next year.

The LLM framework aka "Ajax" is said to offer similar features as OpenAI's ChatGPT offers. It could answer your questions on various topics.

Ajax is reportedly built just like Google Jax which is Google's machine learning framework. Apple's current collaboration with Google for its cloud network makes this development reasonable. Additionally, Apple has its own technologies and also utilizes Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Apple has also recently been spotted for offering a job opening which requires "robust understanding of large language models and generative AI." This clearly reveals that Apple is cooking something using AI.

Reports suggest that Apple began developing the Ajax framework last year to streamline machine learning development across the company. The reports also reveal that the access of Apple’s chatbot is restricted even for internal use and requires a special approval.

Apple does not use the term ‘AI’ or related words much. But the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook has talked about LLM models saying “great promises”. However, Cook also highlighted the importance of responsible AI development, highlighting the need to train AI systems properly to avoid malfunction and misinformation.
