Samsung launched the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in April last year for Rs 64,900 in India. A year later, following the launch of the Galaxy S9 series, the S8 series got a price cut and the Galaxy S8+ was priced at Rs. 53,990. The Galaxy S8+ smartphone seems to be receiving another price cut as a retailer in Mumbai is selling the premium device for Rs 39,990. The price drop follows the launch of the Galaxy Note 9 phablet in India. #SamsungS8+ New MOP Rs.39990/- only pic.twitter.com/TzVqdR2M5P — Mahesh Telecom (@MAHESHTELECOM) 28 August 2018 When we checked on Samsung e-store, Flipkart and Paytm Mall, the Galaxy S8+ is still listed for Rs 51,990. The prices on the online platforms are expected to change. We couldn’t confirm the price in Delhi at the time of writing this story. You can also get the Galaxy S8+ from Paytm that is offering Rs 8,000 cashback with the purchase of last year's Samsung flagship phone. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch display and a 3500mAh battery. It comes with the company’s Infinity display with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels and a ratio of 18:9. The Galaxy S8+ is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 SoC, which is based on the 10nm FinFET manufacturing process. It offers a 4GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. On the back is a 12MP camera with Dual Pixel technology, dual Optical Image Stabilisation, f/1.7 aperture lens, while at the front is a 8MP camera with an f/1.7 lens.
