Amazon has announced its Great Indian Festival, which will take place from October 10 till October 15. The sale will commence at 12 AM midnight on October 10 and conclude at 11:59 PM on October 15. Same as every year, the online retailer will be offering a slew of discounts, deals and offers across products from various categories. The announcement by Amazon comes soon after its rival e-commerce platform, Flipkart, announced its Big Billion Days Sale that kicks off on October 10. Amazon made the announcement at its ‘Amazon festive home’, which is a three story bungalow that has been converted into an Amazon home in two weeks with more than 16000 products. It should be noted that like always, Amazon Prime customers will have an early access to the sale on October 9. Amazon has not revealed any specifics of the upcoming sale but it says that the sale will be its biggest event yet with over 172 million products, and 380,000 brands up for grabs. Products like the Redmi 6 series of smartphones, air purifiers by Honeywell and Dyson will also be available for purchase during the event. Buyers will have the option to avail no-cost EMIs on debit and credit cards and Bajaj Finserv cards, on all eligible devices, along with EMI on Amazon Pay and debit cards with a loan of up to 1 lakh. Customers will also get to avail a Rs 300 cashback when they top up their Amazon Pay balance and SBI debit and credit card users will get to avail a 10 percent discount on their purchases. During this upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival sale, one will also get to exchange smartphones, along with some other large appliances like TVs. The online retailer promises of delivering and installing new TVs within 48 hours. Alongside the announcement of the Great Indian Festival sale, Amazon has also announced its plans to bring the second generation of the Echo Show and the Echo Input devices to India early next year. The second-generation Amazon Echo Show features a revamped design and comes equipped with an upgraded speaker. It sports a 10-inch HD display, a 5MP camera, and an inbuilt home hub, like the Echo Plus. The Amazon Echo Input is a small device that is similar to Google’s Chromecast Audio. It can be connected with an existing speaker either via a 3.5mm audio cable or through Bluetooth. It comes with a four-microphone array for voice recognition and is priced at $34.99 in the US. you can read more about the new devices here.
