Though Apple has essentially killed last year’s star, the iPhone X, along with iPhone 6s and iPhone SE in the US, it has slashed the prices of some of its aging iPhones in India. The company launched the 2018 line-up of iPhones earlier today, the iPhone Xs, the iPhone Xs Max and the iPhone XR. The immediate successor of last year’s iPhone X, the iPhone Xs starts at Rs 99,990 in the country. The iPhone XR, which is designed to give a similar experience as of the iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max, starts at a price point of Rs 76,900. But if you are looking to grab an Apple-branded phone, you can choose one from the older models thanks to a fall in prices. The iPhone 6s Plus 32GB model has received the biggest price cut of Rs 17,340 in India after the launch of the new 2018 iPhones. It sold for Rs 52,240 and after the price cut, it’ll sell for Rs 34,900. The 128GB variant of the iPhone 6s Plus which sold for Rs 61,450, will now sell for Rs 44,900. The iPhone X also got a price cut but it is not as substantial as the iPhone 6s. The 64GB variant of the iPhone X gets a Rs 3,490 price cut and will now sell for Rs 91,900. The 256GB variant of the iPhone X will now sell for Rs 1,06,900 after a Rs 2,030 discount. As mentioned above, the iPhone Xs base model starts from 99,990 which is effectively just Rs 8,090 more than last year’s flagship.
