Motorola One Power, the company’s new smartphone enrolled in Google's Android One programme has launched in India. Except for the handset’s price in the country, we already knew what design and hardware it ships with since it was first announced during the IFA 2018 event in Berlin. The company announced today that the Moto One Power is also made in India and that 100 percent of its units are made in the company's manufacturing facility in Chennai. The new Moto One Power features a 19:9 display due to the notch on top and is bound to receive timely software updates as it’s an Android One device that runs on stock Android Oreo. The Motorola One Power comes equipped with a massive 5000mAh battery that is said to deliver two days worth of usage and it also supports the company's TurboPower charging tech, which the company says can deliver up to 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging. Motorola is also bundling a 15W Turbocharger in the box. Motorola One Power Specs The Moto One Power features a precision crafted metal design and is said to easily fit one's hand. It features a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 “Max Vision” display with a notch on top and maximum brightness of 450 nits. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, which is paired with the Adreno 509 GPU. It runs on stock Android Oreo and the company has promised that it will be one of the first devices to get the Android 9.0 Pie update. The smartphone comes with 4GB RAM/64GB of internal storage. The internal storage can also be extended up to 25GB via a microSD card. The smartphone comes equipped with 16MP + 5MP dual-rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12μm pixels. The main camera also supports capturing 4K videos. On the front, it sports an 8MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and 1.25μm pixels. The front camera supports portrait mode, auto HDR and comes with selfie beauty mode. The front camera is housed inside the notch where it also comes with a mic, earpiece, and a front-facing flash. The Motorola One Power features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that sports the company's logo as well and it comes with a bottom firing Dolby Audio speakers that can deliver up audio at levels of up to 84dbs. Dobly Audio is also supported when one plugs in the headphones via the 3.5mm audio jack. Taking a jab at Xiaomi, Motorola says that the One Power comes with Widevine L1 certification, which means that it can support viewing HD video viewing on Netflix. Motorola One Power Price, Availability and Launch Offers The Motorola One Power comes in a 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage version, which is priced at Rs 15,999.
