Scores of leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S10 are already making rounds on the internet. While some talk about the camera, others mention the in-display fingerprint sensor and hardware. Now, a new leak has surfaced claiming a “radical” design change in the South Korean giant’s next year’s flagship device. Made public by well-known tipster Ice Universe, the leak says that Samsung is expected to sport a large display with new 19:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy S10 series screen aspect ratio is 19:9, which indicates that it does have a big change in appearance. Samsung is accustomed to camouflage Galaxy Sx and Sx+ with SM-G4x0 or G4x5 pic.twitter.com/yBUD6j0hEj — Ice universe (@UniverseIce) September 18, 2018 Ice Universe’s leak falls in line with famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s claims which said that Samsung will supersize the Galaxy S10 but not make it physically any bigger. The only way to do that is by making the display taller and thinning or removing the top and bottom bezels. Ice Universe also claims that Samsung is also trying to camouflage Galaxy S models using the naming structure ‘SM-G4x0’ or ‘SM-G4x5’. In a related development, XDA-Developers have claimed that Samsung could launch four models of the Galaxy S10 including a 5G-enabled one. The folks say that they have found evidence in the early firmware files. “There are four devices codenamed ‘beyond 0’, ‘beyond 1’, ‘beyond 2’, and ‘beyond 2 5G’. Each model is referred to as ‘beyond’, which is the main codename for the Galaxy S10. Then, there’s a number where 0 is the smallest sized device, 1 is a mid-sized device, and 2 is the largest variant,” the news platform said. There is a fourth smartphone with a 5G added at the end of the ‘beyond 2.’ “We’re expecting the beyond 0 to be an S10 with 5.8-inch display and a single rear-mounted camera,” the news portal said. The “beyond 1” could either be a 5.8-inch device with a second camera, or a handset with a slightly larger screen . The “beyond 2” is expected to be the Galaxy S10+ with a 6.44-inch display and triple rear cameras + dual front shooters. The “beyond 2” 5G could be a 5G-enabled version of the S10+.
