Xiaomi has announced new Mesmerising Blue and a Stunning Black colour models of its Redmi Y2 smartphone. The announcement comes via the company’s Twitter handle and the two new colour variants of the smartphone will be available for purchase today at 12 PM in a flash sale via Amazon.in and Mi.com. The Redmi Y2 was launched back in June in Dark Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold colours. It features a dual-rear camera setup but the company has aimed at buyers that need a better front-facing camera as it comes equipped with a 16MP front-facing sensor with a dedicated LED flash. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Specifications The Redmi Y2 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor and comes equipped with a 5.99-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Y2 runs on Android 8.1.0 Oreo with MIUI 9.5.0.3 on top but the company recently started seeding the Android 8 Oreo-based MIUI 10 update to it. The update brings new features, improvements and optimisations for the smartphone like a new recents screen, refreshed UI and more. In terms of optics, the phone comes with a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back, which is capable of capturing bokeh shots. As mentioned earlier, on the front, it comes with a 16MP sensor that offers touching up images using Al-based Beautify 4.0 mode. Alongside a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the Redmi Y2 also supports face recognition technology. The whole package is backed by a 3080mAh battery and the dual Nano-sim smartphone also features a separate microSD card slot with up to 256GB SD card support. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Price The Redmi Y2 comes in two variants, one with 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage, which is priced at Rs 9,999, and another with 4GB RAM/64GB storage that will cost you Rs 12,999.
